I managed to get my copy of TQ early, as a few stores in Aus are not only stocking it now, but also selling it. Which was interesting to find out. :D If you are in Aus, call up some and ask as they may have it.

Anyhow, just wanted to say that after a few hours playing, you can rest assured that TQ is awesome. I can sum this up safely by saying that it -feels- just like Diablo, but with better visuals and sounds, and all the little things you loved are still there, and all those you disliked are gone. Just awesome. I can't quite get over how many of the reviews have just totally overlooked so many of the games features. o_O;

Anyhow, my server will be up tomorrow night for gaming fun (Digital Titans) and hope to see you there.

Since it shipped out today, some US stores near distro centers may get it 'early' as well, so if you're feeling especially antsy, you could call your local game stores and see if they got it in. Probably better to wait until later in the day, after they get thier usual shipments. I know the various megamart type electronic stores usually stock games late (at least, that's been my experience with places like Best Buy, CompUSA etc)

Phillip Marcus: I agree that the "mega" stores usually stock later in the day, and I have had good luck with Best Buy in the past putting games on the shelf the day before the "Gamestop/EB" type stores since they get their shipments differently. That is why I plan on swinging by Best Buy after work tonight (about 7 PM CST)!

Hey Digit...

I was wondering, not for myself, but for the nay sayers out there, did you have any problems with the game, game mechanics, or performance? I am assuming not, but I wanted to make sure. That way if someone comes on here and starts bi@*#ing about the game, I can have some info to back it up. Thanks in advance and happy gaming...you lucky (fill in here)! :)

I still get slowdowns in odd areas. Cave problem is fixed for me, it seems the Undead are high-poly or something, as they slow me down badly, also when lots of enemies decided to hunt you, the pathfinding slows me down too.

I have noticed one bug where sometimes I will stand and attack an enemy but constantly miss due to being slightly out of range, and my character won't move in range. I need to move him myself, but that's happend only a few times. Performance wise it's been a mixed bag, some areas are great, others aren't (mostly graveyards).

Difficulty wise, I have already died twice. Once in the begining to some boars as the difficulty is much different to the demo, and it took me by surprise, and once to a mob that did insane poisen damage. I actually died after he had died, which annoyed me. >_>;

Also, I have only found 1 blue item, and not many great rares, though they drop like wildfire. So the drop rate has changed a lot too. Also chests don't throw Epic items at you anymore, on the upside runes and monster charms drop fairly often. I actually managed to complete some relics this time. :)

Good to hear... many interesting changes. :) We should let Iron Lore know about the bugs so they can fix them. And this is one team of devs that I know I can count on. ;)

Anyway, I' m waiting until I receive my new PC (I ordered it online), so that I can play TQ with everything at the very highest (ATI X1900XT, 2048 RAM, Athlon 64 X2 3800+).... I'm very excited. :)

I've been having wonky graphics issues, but other than that performance is great. The graphics issues have caused me to crash 2 times, but I'm remedying that as I type. I think I needed to upgrade my drivers. :)

I was rather late in to work today. *hangs head* Anyhow, yeah a few things. First up performance is a mixed bag. Some areas are awesomely smooth, and others are just terrible, I can't figure out what or why to it. Also adjusting options seems to make little difference to me. Perhaps those with desktops will fare better. That's the only issue I am unhappy with currently, I can't get a stable FPS setup, looking forward to some tweak guides. Even I drop everything to low, it still has issues in some areas. Just FYI my laptop is fairly reasonable spec:

3.4Ghz PIV.
1Gig RAM
ATI 9800 256Mb

What else? Umm, drop rates are far improved from the demo, I think they were upped in the demo so we would find shiny stuff. I have 2 Epics, one of which I am using, the other I am keeping incase someone else wants it. I can't seem to stop picking up green items, which essentially are just like blue items in Diablo. This means regular trips back to town. :'( Which is the only annoying thing. Also, there are some mob behaviours that will make you smile when you see them. :p Won't ruin the fun for others, I just remember thinking, "Why you little git!". Oh! Also, you know how mobs all drop the items they are wearing? Well like the Centaurs drop Centaur Helms and so on? Some of the beasts do that too. That's all I am saying. :)

@Phillip: I ended up taking a Conqueror class (Warfare and Defence) like I mentioned I would, good old tank, can't go wrong. :D That's pretty funny how we all ided the same way, to some Ravenous Boars lol. ;)

I think I may write up a review, as I used to write for some gaming sites and I can't quite get over how -much- of TQ has just been overlooked in the reviews. All the little touches, all the different animations for states, like stun. The ragdoll effects are just awesome, and the monster ai is great. Those 36 classes that gamebanshee mentioned are used for the mobs too. Just like you encounter Satyr Trappers in the demo, that cast Entangle on you, there are more types, a great deal more. ^_^

no, someone did mention wanting to beat the game w/out dying. like HC mode in diablo. i almost hope he can do it. this will feel like a waste if its too easy to beat w/out dying and there is no HC mode to keep things interesting.
