easy :P

DEFENSE has the Club skill that gives you stunt dmg and probability to stun....all right...but is it that good?

is it worth using a maul instead of a nice axe/spear (specially those too) ?

for instance...the weapon training in warfare skill increases dmg and attack rate...so its easy to see that you get a good improvement using one of those weapon type...

but what about defense? and more specifically...what is EXACTY the +xx% stun dmg?

+% stun damage = +% stun duration.

Concussive blow isn't that amazing by itself , but it does work with shield charge and batter , so it triggers pretty often.
And if your second mastery happens to like stuns (warhorn comes to mind) , it will help those too.

IMO your weapon choise is defined by your second mastery.
It doesn't make sense to use a club as a corsair or warden.
For all other classes , a club is the best choise.

Paladins with clubs work great. Storm Surge to stun them, and then just hammer them into submission.

Does concussive blow work with axes?

The only reason I ask, is I am trying to see the difference between the stun duration with an axe, and a club, and I don't see any...

Also, does concussive blow work with shield charge, if u have an axe? becasue again, I am not seeing a difference.

This is with & without a club, and lvl 5 concussive blow to 0.

AM seeing no chage in stun durations with or without a club.

ANyone else got test results?

It is really hard to see a difference in shield charge , at least to the naked eye.

I tried it in a pretty foolproof way.
I made a fraps video of myself doing shield charge with a sword , an axe and a mace.

Then I counted frames of stun (the video was at 30 fps) to measure the duration.
And sure enough , with axe and sword the stun was 30 frames (1 sec) , with a mace and lvl9 concussive blow (+55% stun dmg) it was 46 frames (1.53 sec).

I normally also use an adroit loop (+54% stun dmg) , along with that the mace stunned for 62 frames , a touch over 2 seconds.

Warhorn can't really be tested reliably , it's duration varies too much.
