I'm working on a Brigand char with all X% piercing retaliation items:

Helm 15% chance of 9-15 Piercing Damage

Still lvl 15 in normal, with helm, greaves, shield and armor all retaliating, also a charm that reflects 15% damage. So far so good, can stand in a crowd and drink a potion while the mob kills themselves on me. Very cool, I just go open chests and collect treasure. :rockon:
Archers/mages however, just pelt me, so gonna need Find Cover real soon for protection.

Does anyone know what modifiers affect the damage inflicted by retalliation? I took Hunter/Rogue for the +X% piecing damage mods, but I think I may hit a wall here in Epic/Leg.

Am I headed for disaster here?

Just get to Epic / Leg and let us know ^_^

When i get epic mode i was wondering how mobs change. In mount olympus 1 hit = 1 kill, but in the beginning of epic i need more than 2 hits for kill the "cupacabras" or more than 4 for skeletons.

I dont know how much dmg you can do and how much you can recieve.

I choose piercing because I am hoping the retalliation dmg numbers on items scale through Epic/Leg. (?) And there are quite a few pierce dmg buffs in Hunter/Rogue masteries.

Defender/Nature build has a nice Rally ability that reflects 60% damage when up, with a few more reflection items, maybe that could get to 100% reflection, but you really need -%recharge to keep it up all the time which Nature provides under Adrenaline, plus extra hp from HotO, plus elemental resistance. Good combo here, (way high level) just need to whack all the archers first cause they are the only ones who can hurt you.
