Damage and attack speed are the only relevant factors. So find the individual weapons that give you the highest DPS by themselves and use those.

Dual wield doesn't really seem to favor certain items or skills. Only when you combine it with for example Storm Nimbus which can add direct damage per hit. In this case it's better to have +attack speed rather than just huge damage per (slow) hit.

Lol. :P Anyway, I agree, favoring attack speed is better than to favor damage, because many passive skills in the game have a chance of activation per each attack, so more attacks means more chance of activation. Such skills are some of the modifiers for dual-wield, as well as many others from different masteries.

rofl can't dual wield spears? :lol: It's obvious I never tried that but it's a 1h weapon (can go with shield) so I assumed it was possible to dual wield it too.

I'm dual wielding cleavers currently. At least until I raise my stats enough to dual wield gladiuses ?sp (gladii)?
