[ranger]pets in normal + what about the plague tree?

Atm my level 22 Ranger is fighting through Gizeh and I just recently rebought the points invested in the wolf tree (8) because I didn´t find them very useful yet and I rather wanted to improve my hunting/main attack skills. So my question is: when is it really necessary to get those wolves/their aura? And furthermore: why to have more than one? Just because if there are three, there are two left who can cast the aura if one dies?

Ok second part:
What about plague? I´m not experienced enough in the game to wildly experiment with it so I just wanted to ask if anybody could comment about its usefulness and if its a proper spell for an only bow ranger.

(and sorry for my english, its much too late now and I can hardly keep my head from slamming on the keyboard)

1) wolfs is not nessesary, but good, if u want to use them, use them, it's no requirement about WHEN u want to start using them :P

2) Plague is really good against bosses, even later on in legendary.. Use it.. But if u want, apply plauge later on.

plague doesnt reduce pierce resist, also you already have study prey. i dont see the value in plague at all (for a ranger that is)

Agreed. If you already have Study Prey, Plague isn't worth the points. You'll be killing off enemies faster than Plague can reduce HP. In my opinion, Plague isn't worth it for a Ranger build.

hmm.. plague dose also damage the enemies AoE, and alot of other goodies, but okey... For a ranger that MAY BE unnessesary.
