Gamebanshee has a new feature about all of the possible class combos and names of them. I'm posting this as a spoiler just in case some of you want to figure them all out for yourself. They also list the effects of all of the skills too. Part 2 will be next week. Enjoy.

Warfare + Rogue = Assassin.

That might be enough to make me buy the game right there....

Let me just tell you how good that class is as well, Ashen. Seriously. I messed around with it the other night. Dual-Wield + Poison Weapons + Rampage + War Horn = DEAD STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Warfare Mastery & Rogue = Awesome combo

I like the upclose and personal nature of the built, and the fact that it obviously will generate MASSIVE damage. And even comes with some crowd control to boot, how sweet is that!!

Yep, already my chosen combo for my first character. I probably wont take Rogue as my secondary mastery until like level 30 or so. I want to get the dual-wield tree pretty well covered before moving on. Oh man, I'm so excited...

Can't decide between
Warfare+Spirit Mastery= Spellbreaker
or
Warfare+Defense= Conqueror

Can't wait to get my grubby paws all over this. I'm not going to sleep, eat or go "knobbin'" my wife for a while (ok, maybe not the "knobbin'").
"Honey, send the kids to the neighbours, you go to your sister's. I'm bringing home Titan Quest!"

i might just make a character with all the combos

In an online game i really want to try a Nature/Rogue Illusionist class. I could heal everyone along with my pets and really cripple leaders of groups (or bosses) with poison and bleeding attacks.

I don't know, it's just a thought. It'd be nice to have some range in my mele combat though so it might not work too well.

Do you know what I find amazing? That a prominent IGN website like the Titan Quest Vault can go so low as to steal the images and content from another website. Check their new skill mastery, skill, and class databases and you'll see exactly what I mean.

If you compare the skill masteries, skills, and classes on GameBanshee to the ones that are now on IGN, you'll find that the skill statistics are identical, even though many of them are not how they appear in the game. We intentionally dropped some of the decimals, rearranged the way the statistics were listed, and changed certain text (such as using "/second" instead of "per second"). We even capitalized certain words that aren't capitalized in-game. But no matter what changes we made, IGN's Titan Quest Vault now has the exact same text as we do.

You'll also notice that the skill mastery images and icons they've used just happen to be resized the EXACT same size (170x170 for mastery images, for example) and use our same background color - #12110d. If you look closely, you can even see the tan outline that I personally added to our mastery images on IGN's images.

Additionally, the classes they have listed are in the same order as we listed them. They're not alphabetical or anything - they just happen to be listed in the same non-order we used.

It is not easy going through the game and grabbing all this data. It's a shame that IGN feels that they can just steal their content instead of actually working for it.

Hi BuckGB. Welcome to the coolest TQ Forums.
Good to be here :). It's too bad this had to be my first post, though.

You're part of the gamebanshee team? I love that site :)
Thanks! I started GameBanshee in early 2000 and have been running it for six years now. We've been working on our Titan Quest content for a few weeks now and will be posting an extensive walkthrough, a searchable equipment database, and a whole lot more in the near future. I just hope IGN doesn't continue to copy/paste our content.

Can't wait for your walkthrough :) All the ones I've used in the past from there (mostly the Dungeon Lords one) have been very nice and easy to use. Thanks :)

Several comparisons showing the blatant copy/pasting that IGN did can be found here:

That sucks, Buck. Hopefully IGN does the right thing, apologizes for their theft, and removes any material they've taken from your site.

My reply to the "omg they stole my stuff" thread:

Okey okey we get it. They ripped some data. Welcome to the internet!

We appreciate the work you’re doing Buck, really. I love Gamebanshee.
But whining that someone steals your material is so pointless. I got 50 gig of downloaded music on my harddrive that says I don’t give a damn.
Sure it isn't the right thing to do from IGN but lets just get realistic for a second...

Agreed. This sort of thing is pretty commonplace on the internet, but after spending weeks working on our skill content, I find myself a little surprised that a high-profile site like the TQ Vault would steal it.

Hopefully IGN will take some interest in the matter, but if not, at least I've pointed it out. Carry on :).

Ah, IGN just replied and they will look into it. :)

Please note that I do not condone stealing behaviour on the internet in general but in this case it’s just about skills and fixed numbers which none of it has any artistic value or requires a particular large amount of activity in the squishy thing inside your head.
I don’t blame others for not bothering reinventing the metaphorical wheel again. I use copy-pasting myself so much it’s a damn near language.

Anyhoo, like Calienon said;
I also can’t wait for walkthroughs and guides about TQ from Gamebanshee. Always a good selection of high quality and well written articles.
I highly doubt any self respecting site would simply copy-paste these articles.

If they would I would also sincerely disapprove of that kind of behaviour because it is clearly copyrighted.
But the way I see it, grunt work, where you simply copy-paste data (of the demo) and post it on a site isn’t copyrighted because you didn’t really add much to already existing material.

But maybe the neurons that carry my copyright laws memory took a wrong turn somewhere, who knows. It’s not the first time I caught them smoking pot either.

Buck:
It's unfortunate that your hard work was taken advantage of :( Most people don't realize the amount of time and effort it takes to gather data of this type from a game. Skill name and in-game description, location on the skill tree, prereq skill, the value of each variable as points are added to the skill (for example, Squall (storm mastery): X Energy Cost, X Meter Radius, X% Chance of X-to-Y Lightning Damage, X% Chance of Impaired Aim) with some skills having up to 20 levels of skill progression, capturing the skill icon and formatting the image size and type to whatever your standard is.. do that 159 more times, and you're done!

Grunt work? Perhaps. As quick and easy as copying and pasting? Hardly.

Exactly. An enormous amount of time went into formatting all 160 skill pages. Some of them took upwards of 20 minutes each, in fact.

It's unfortunate that the whole episode had to take place, but I'm pleased to see that the IGN administrators were committed to remedying the situation quickly.

It's not like IGN is really a bastion of game journalism. >_< I don't remember ever really liking them, and today I went to check their feature out which kept loading without a background, and the videos were down. I mean really, with the site plastered with adverts left, right and center, you would think they could at least get the basics working. :s

IGN and Gamespy, two sites I loath going to, a pity so many publishers love flogging their new stuff to them.

I never liked IGN reviews, most are biased , especially towards Japanese game.

Shame on them. I will now visit gamebanshee instead, thanks!

Hey BuckGB, sorry to hear about that. I love Gamebanshee and wish you guys the best going forward. You guys must feel terrible knowing another site is using your hard work as if it was their own. If it's any consolation, we know where this great information really came from.
