View Full Version : Where to pre-order TQ? (URGENT)

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I should pre-order
Titan Quest (DVD edition preferred)?

I see on the Iron Lore website that EB, Gamestop, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy
are all taking pre-orders. However, each has different prices and ship dates.

Here are my criteria, in priority order:

(1) I must take delivery of retail boxed game ASAP, which means I want to pick up
my copy from a local store rather than having it shipped to my house.

(2) Lower price is not as important as getting the game sooner.

I don't usually pre-order, so I'm not sure who to trust. I have all four
of these vendors in my local area (Albany, NY).

Please help.

Judging by the retailers you mentioned above and your criteria, this is not that hard of a decision to make.

I have experience purchasing online from all of the above named merchants except Gamestop, and all of them were reputable, my largest purchase was from EBgames and for over $800 US, hardware and software arrived ontime and packaged professionally.

On a smaller order with Bestbuy that required an exchange, they allowed me to physically go to the nearest Bestbuy location and replace the order.

I can recommend all I've had experience with, narrow it down with your criteria, you can't go wrong.

I'd go EB. They'll have it a s soon as anyone, and will refund your deposit if you get it earlier someplace else.

EB is my store of choice, even though they're now just an extension of Gamestop. EB tends to (in my area) often get their new releases in on shipping day (26th) instead of the day after like most places. So I'm crossing my fingers. :)

Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll probably go with GameStop, since
they are on my way home from work.

Now, all I need is a cooperative clerk who is willing to accept
a small bribe in exchange for selling me a copy before the street date...
... any takers?

Just send any of the forum mods cash and we'll look after it for you.

Well, actually, we'll probably take off to the Caribbean and stash all of our earning in a Cayman Islands account (which I really do have btw, after working there for two years a ways back) then leave you high and dry.

Does anybody know about the availability of the steel boxed limited edition versions? I would like to preorder, but I'm afraid that what I preorder won't be the limited edition...

I live in the US, if that makes a difference.

Retailers start to list the boxed version (well, Amazon France has had it listed for a couple of weeks now) now that the metal box picture has been released. Anyway, the best thing is prolly to ask (written?) confirmation from the retailer you want to preorder from if he doesn't list specifically the metal box version ;)

I also want that Art Book. I'm from the Netherlands and want to buy the Limited Edition from a French site, but I don't know if the game, manual and other extra's are in French, English or Multilanguage. I don't understand French, so it has to be in English. If someone can confirm everything is in English or Multilanguage, I order it from that French site.
