whats the overall fav. of the bows? Looking at all the stats and not just the attack damage. Mine is the Nemies Recruved bow i just traded to get it. I had the Qin WarBow.

id go for a collosal huntmaster's bow of annihilation socketed with a legendary peng claw 25-45 damage(not bonus) and +20% damage.

if you go into rare probably a veterans huntmaster's bow of Havoc socketed with the same item.

as for legendary bows id go with herakles' bow

I'm currently using a Relentless Huntmaster's Bow of Devouring socketed with an Incarnation of Artemis' Bowstring Relic (completed of course).

Stats on bow are:

+27% Damage
+38% Life Leech
15 Vitality Damage
14% Attack Damage Converted to Health
+20% Attack Speed

Relic bonus:

30 Piercing Damage
+12% Attack Speed
+25% Damage

I would love to get one with an Annihilation suffix though. :razz:

Relic Bonus:

Socketed with a completed Incarnation of the Valor of Achilles that I've been saving for a weapon of this level.

I found Teurur's Warbow last night. 28% damage, 27% attack speed. Already started at SLOW instead of VERY SLOW. Not bad.

Yeah Teucers is a nice one, I found it last nite too. I'm currently trying to get my hands on a bow of Herakles which is a real nice legendary. I'm not sure if it's better than a really nice green with +atk speed and +dmg/pierce + a nice relic, but it's close.

Sadly, in terms of damage, Green weapons reign surpreme over any Legendary one.

I've just completed an Incarnation of Artemis' Bowstring with an extra +35% attack speed, giving it a total of +50%. I'm saving this for a bow I have still to find ;). Maybe this is the time to ask where attack speed is capped?

the advice ill give is: just insert your artemis bowstring into the next bow you really like dont treasure it thats what i did and i ended up having 2 bags full of incarnation i never intended to use

I am using a Piercing Huntsmaster bow of the Eagle

131-148 Damage

+30% Piercing Damage
37-48 Piercing Damage

I find that the DPS counter in the game doesn't really work for bows. I have bows with higher DPS (x of Annihalation etc) but in the game, especially when using CotH and Study Prey, this bow does significantly more damage. Even more so if you are using + to skills items, which only makes piercing better and removes more of pierce resistance for the target with Study Prey.

Whenever I don't fight tough bosses I sometimes change one Apollo's Will against a Resiliant ring of the Owl with a relic of spectral matter and then to a Relentless Bow of Devouring. That way I get lower damage but don't really have to worry about health or energy most of the time. Also having a relic with slowing enemy attacks reallly helps the survivability of my core dweller, so that might also be worth sacrificing some damage for.

yore using some insane + piercing damage there. no wonder you so greatly benefit from pierce only skills. also the dps/pierce percentage of your bow greatly depends on the totaö +%pierce damage you usually have

I put a +15% attack speed, 36ish damage, +25% damage Achilles relic on a Colossal huntmaster Bow of Annihilation and compared it to a Bow of Herakles. The DPS was only slightly higher and it didn't have all the other benefits (like the +370% damage 15% of the time). Maybe I just need to find a better Huntmaster Green bow.
