Hey guys

Ok im very very new to the series of titan quest and that gamestyle genre. im learning as i go, and sometimes i find guides confusing. with a million skills menchoned and "acronyms"

So basically im after the most effective level 1-10 class for aoe/survivability. ive tried dream and spirit. but i just cant seem to dish out that damage without loosing to much health against the harder mobs, ofcourse . i dont expect to run around one shotting every mob ( would be nice haha) but yeah, i just want to find a class who can early game. regain health easily and do decent aoe damage

So im after abit of a simplistic guide. what to skill point in, and were to put the masterys

Unfortunately, if you want an easy class for the early levels, the strategy you use will come back to haunt you most f the time i.e. - the game gets progressively harder for those who dominate at the start, while those which struggle at the start tend to find the game getting easier. But if you really want the easy path... (at the start anyway)

Earth: You have a few choices here. You can go the Ring of Flame route (an aura that burns nearby enemies) and just use potions to replenish your health and mana. 1 point Stone Form and Heat Shield will increase your survivability. The Core Dweller helps you tank well (for Act 1), and it's pretty hard to go wrong. You can also 1 point Volcanic Orb and rush up the tree for Eruption. Same thing with CD and Stone Form... you let the CD grab aggro, launch your orb of doom that one shots boars at the start, and wait patiently till you get Eruption... and proceed to beat Normal with it.

Nature: The legendary wolves. Enough said. Wolves, Heart of Oak, Regrowth. What can go wrong? Well, wait till late Act III and the whole of Act IV... (I know many posters have posted strategies on how to clear the game using nature. But it isn't natural for most new players to know of, much less use them)

Dream: Surprised that you have problems with this one. Distortion Wave at Level 1 gives 50% slow. Easy kiting. Max Distortion Wave makes things FLY across the screen early in Act 1. Of course, you need mana potions to keep up with spamming it. Once you reach Delphi (or any other later mystics if you do not have the skill points yet), just keep DW at 1 point and max Psionic Immolation. With a bit of common sense, Nightmare, and the second trance, Normal is more or less beaten.

hm maybe my problem is weapon/skill point choices. with dream, whether to play it distance. or melee. and what sort of gear to get, and were to spend the skill points

so maybe the question isnt the masterys, more weaponry, armor, skillpoints

lately ive been using an axe and shield. with the dream, and no intellect. mostly str

At that stage of the game it does not really matter whether you are going the int or strength route. At least not to your skills.

You will, of course, be able to equip better weapons with strength. But even then, Dream's best attack is Distortion Wave (the x physical damage become useless later, but rock at the start).

Otherwise I'd also say Earth. Get a Core Dweller to attract enemies, then blow them sky high with Volcanic Orbs.
Ice Shards are good too, but you may need a few mana potions for those.

Squall is one of the easiest starts in the game and will last you at least well into Act III. Your only problem is what to use until Squall is at level 7 or 8, when it starts to kill on its own.

well ive made it to act 2 xD. loving the earth mastery. its to good haha

But curious. is there a pure nature build which would be usable around level 17. just out of curiousity. nature looks fun, oh and caster style, aka intel/staff
