Just to drop this to all who were following this . Rift finally has a free trial . Yep it happened . 7 days free trial is up and running on their page . I am downloading it now to see why it got so popular . Dunno about the restrictions yet . But I do know it has a freaking 8.78 gb of download . I am gonna put it to dl while I go to work .

Maybe but WoW is slowly losing players because of this. Can't wait to see The Old Republic.

i played the trial a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. yesterday steam had it on sale for 10 bucks, so i bought it. it will be a good time waster until the old republic comes out.

during the trial i just brought a bunch of characters through the starting zone, didnt play any of the "real" game. tonight i made a char, went through the starter zone, and once i got to real game a rift event happened right outside the first encampment. basically me and a bunch of other lvl 7-8 guys were all trying to take out a lvl 15 elite. who took off about 1/2 of my health in one hit. i died 7 times, and the battle took over half an hour, but we finally beat him. it was good fun.

Yes the Rift fights are awesome , and very well compiled . I spent 2 and half hours just doing those fights . I was like : Ok now lets finish that quest .... UUU Look another rift /yells Here I come guys .

the only problem I found with rift events was that they where very distracting although I played beta when not that many people where around so invasions actually won.... which was a pain. but overall I liked it for a bit but the got bored like i do with all MMO's. hasn't beat EVE yet but beats WoW in time until boredom.
