Yellows...even worth the trouble anymore?

I'm sure this has been asked before...but it's been on my mind this week.

My level 40 Conqueror just got into Epic. During his run through Normal I've accumulated a ton of greens and blues to twink some other characters I'm messing around with. I'm still picking up yellows...but I haven't come across a worthwhile yellow in a long time. I end up just filling my bags with them and then porting to town to sell them all. At this point i'm really not hurting for gold and I seem to be jumping back to town a lot more these days just to unload a ton of yellows

My question: Is it even worth picking up yellow loot anymore? Can a yellow item be useful if you are outfitted with greens and blues? I've learned that some greens are waaay better than the cool blue items I was so initially impressed with. But I haven't really read about anyone finding or using yellows after the first few normal acts.

If you feel you have enough gold, then don't bother. I don't ever have enough gold. One of my toons spent 400 million gold shopping in one session recently. So I still sell yellows. Besides, if you never sell items, you barely ever visit the vendors. And if you don't visit the vendors, you don't get the best greens. If you do visit the vendors regularly, my feeling is that you might as well sell some items at the same time.

na theres not much point once you reach epic.

Yellows can still be useful for new characters (if you don't over-twink much) and nature/x petmancers.

Petmancers rely more on yellow/green rings/amulets than purples. For a nature/x petmancer, the only other rings/amulets worth using are Black Pearl rings/amulets with +pet damage mods. Good luck finding one of those.

Good yellows which grant something like +50 pierce resist, +90-100 DA or 200 HP and socketed with Harpy/Hag/Ajax are worth using until your new toon finds a really good green or purple.
