View Full Version : Bandari's Helm...specific attributes to work?

Hope this is the correct place to post this, as this is my first. I got a Mythic formula, CYSTALLINE MASK, in the Blood Cave, and have all three reagents required to activate it, however, Bandari's Mask doesn't seem to want to "play nice". Are there specific attributes needed to use it? Screen shots attached:

I have farmed seven versions of the mask and none work. Any info would be appreciated...

You need a very rare Bandari's Helm--double-affixed with a rare prefix. I really should put that in the FAQ. :/
There is an easier-mythics mod for 1.3 that lowers the affix requirements to something more reasonable. ;)

Thanks for the quick reply...BTW, loooovin' the Underlord mod! Next stupid question: In your reply you state that there is a mythics mod for 1.3...I'm currently running 1.4rc, will it work in this too? If so, could you kindly point me in the right direction for this additional mod? Or at the very least reply with the name so that I can search for it myself?
P.S.) On a side note, I have been lurking for a few months and picking up tons of good info from this site. My son purchased this game for me on my birthday so that I would have something interesting to do between my chemo treatments. I kind of panicked when I found out that Iron Lore went under, but the support and mods on this site have been outstanding!

Glad you're enjoying it. I don't think the 1.3 mod will work with 1.4rc, but I've been long considering implementing the easier mythics into 1.4, as the rarity of the formula and the steep requirements already make them hard pickups; having the ultra-rare MI drops is overkill. When Godot arrives, I'll likely put easier mythics into the final version of 1.4. If you want to continue to play with 1.4RC, and you have an double-affixed bandari's helm (you can check in TQ Vault), then you can just grab the item from Itemus. Alternately, you can get the ShopMI map and grab a rare double-affixed bandari's helm from there, and then you get the exact item described in your recipe.

Those are both good ideas, however since I had actually gotten the reagents from drops (hours upon hours of playing) I actually found a way via Soul Seekers Defiler to get what I couldn't get naturally. Some may call it "cheating" but it wasn't like I didn't have all the required items in my stash...I worked my ass off for them and the stars just lined up right. That's why I was so anxious to put the whole package together, and quite disappointed when I couldn't figure out that "bleeping helm"! lol
BTW, props go out to Soul Seeker, nice program!

I was wondering which prefixes are considered as "rare". I have found bunch of bandari's helm with prefixes like "Hallowed, "Defiled", "Deceiver" (of course they have suffix too) but none of them seems to be working for the cystalline mask recipe.
So could you tell what prefixes are the rare ones?

I reopened the thread. There's nothing wrong with bumping support threads if it's a related issue.
@Kress, you no longer need a rare prefix in order for the item to qualify. Any double-affixed Bandari's Helm should work, so long as it's from Legendary Bandari.
