Yes.I don't cheat in my games as it ruins the fun.Well i did use a map hack in d2 for a while but nothing that altered my characters or anything.

The highest I have ever got is 70 something with my pyromancer. Only three skill points on brimstone I think. Didn't realize it worked on staves and I was trying to make a more normal mage. Though that damage was with the dagger I had on switch.

It's all about damage and attack speed.Use items that give bonuses to those areas and your dps will sky rocket.But remember i use a warrior,I havn't built a caster yet.
My base dps is 168 and 226 is common while in battle but with a critical hit,the onslaught skill and items with %chance to do extra dmg it can get up to 319.Doesn't happen often but that is my highest so far.

Allows you to unlock all the chars and skill in the demo. Look in the faqs for more info.

Me neither. The chappie I just finished the demo (again) last night with is only doing about 96 DPS without critical damages. And that with a wicked mace that adds some cool extra (cold?) damage.

If you want a huge DPS in the un hexed demo...then you have to get the pyromancer and go brimstone. I have 7 chars. None of them come close to my pyro. His DPS is 308 with a slow weapon. That is the reason why they rebalanced brimstone in the final version. Think what the DPS would be with a weapon that was fast or very fast...

It may be possible, but you need damn near everything Achillies relics and freakin fast sword. But, since I am using a maul for mine...I have no idea. Although, that bow damage is about 9x higher than any bow damage I have gotten. And that, as I say, is impressive.
My new ring improved my dps a bit ^^

It's hexed, and he's still a bad liar. That blue ring is for a level 9 or 10 and the the background is not red so that means the game thinks he's a level 9 or 10 so it's hexed.
And it's sooo easy to cut and paste stats to attempt to bolster your claim but it no workie kid your strength and dex is too low for those DPS numbers.
Look at how in the inventory without the ring the background is red (in the same spot the ring is in the other inventory)... LOL
Lol.try to take some screenshots with the printscreen.alt-tab the game and then back again and printscreen inventory window-you can see half of the inventory missing on the image.Heck Ill record a video I think

I agree that I still find it rather difficult to get that kind of DPS. But, it isn't going to bother me. As far as arguing about it, not worth it either. It is just DPS. The pyromancer is changing in the final version, so that won't happen at the beginning of the game...so, I guess...it is a moot point. Anybody making a mage build is looking at this with thread with a big smile and laugh. :)

Actually I just wanted you to stop posting offensive material against friendly on-topic posters.
Want another shock? Kaka's dps is reasonable, but not nearly as high as one can make it. My pyro's base dps at this point is higher than his battle marker dps. I'm still missing a couple of rare relics (one's with the right random mods) to max legit demo dps.
Also, I possibly made a flaw in my relic enhancement decisions, going for 2x Herc & 2x Ach. If I have enough time, I'll see if I can assemble a 4x Ach & a 4x Herc to compare.

Oh well. This is an up-to-date compilation of my gear, standard and battle marker dps, spec, secondary and all that. Sorry it's a bit messy, still reeling from the "loss" of everything I thought I had saved throughout my TQ journey!

As you can see, it's not perfect, as the time I've devoted to farming hasn't been as fruitful as I'd have hoped. Or... maybe you can't see. Here's just the primary stat sheet.

The normal base dps with Onslaught up is 1090, 961 without.
I still do not have my Robust Ring or Dexterity Amulet relic'd. The former is due to not finding a +7 str random bonus on any of my recent Dionysus's Wineskins, and the latter because I haven't found a +7 Dex Archimede's Mirror to put in my other Centaur Buckler with a natural +15 dex so it alone can satisfy my dex requirements and thus allowing me to put on my +7 str, +10% str neck.
In due consideration, as I mentioned before, I most likely made a mistake by balancing my armor relics and should have gone with 4x Achille's Valor. The max dps in that case will be somewhere in the neighborhood of ~1300ish.
I wish I still had the time to devote to reach that goal, but alas. :whistle:

Disclaimer: Frag is 100% pure-legit in the Diablo 1 sense of the term. No hex editing or multiple saves have been used on him. If you spend the time farming and equipping yourself as I, or better than I, did, you will find yourself with similiar, if not better, listed dps.
Segue: Listed dps in the demo means less than nothing in terms of potential and value of one's character, but it is a number. A number that can be exponentially increased through throughly silly and lewty means... That means someone, somewhere, will do his best to increase it for whatever amusement it provides to do such. This is simply my ridiculous little example of what's possible!

Yeah, 99% Hairsplitter. Was using a Pat's Shortsword for a long time, it's still on the switch, the +15 str, +17 dex on it was very, very useful as I was tiering on my early equipment.
