Well, are they ever worth it for any classes?
Thanks.

No. Not unless you're not trying to maximize your character, in which case spend them wherever you want really.

u can always buy energy potion to restore your energy if it runs out for a caster, for a warrior, your energy consumption for skills isnt that great, and you don;t always use your skills , you normal melee attack them to death.

for me, i never upgrade energy for ALL classes i use, for Health is a must for spell casters since when they upgrade masteries , they don't have increment in health unlike the warrior classes.

It's always better to get those from equipment. If you're really desperate, you can use a few points from one of the quests that give you attribute points as a reward, but I wouldn't ever recommend a regular investment at level-ups unless you're playing some strange experimental build where you dress like Santa Claus and rely on pets do to all of your damage.

With some melee builds you're going to run out of energy very fast, like Warden for example, especially if you have some energy reserve skills. It's generally advised to pop in a few attribute points in energy, till you notice you're not running out anymore. 4-6 attributes in energy won't hurt if you're a melee character and go low on it too quickly (drinking energy pots every 10 seconds can get annoying).

A few points in health never hurt, if you have any to spare.
Nature builds with Heart of Oak benefit more from them, so there it can be worth it. Champion comes to mind.

Also, any build whose damage is independent of Str/Int should raise health after gear requirements are met. Namley dedicated petmasters and trappers.

Well, points are a very rare limited resource. They are one of the most valuable things.

Potions are a free commodity of unlimited supply.

Points are hard to come by, potions are practically thrust upon you (albeit sometimes in the form of gold).

So no, I generally wouldn't waste points on something free. ;)

lol, on my conqueror i've put one point on strength and one point on health on every level "lvl 63, i'm in Egypt on Legendary right now, and everything pretty much dies from one or two hits from my pretty little mace :P or shield. got around 9.000 health ^^^^
pfff...

I also put about 5 to 10 points in energy on a melee character or two, just because that gave me enough so I wouldn't have to continually run out of energy during battle and have to wait for that cooldown on the potion. Classes that don't use much energy, a few points can go a long way.

Those characters envy the ones where 1 or both mastery s give an energy bonus as you increase it.

Melee builds that do not get energy from masteries benefit greatly from 4-10 points in energy.

Casters that only increase int benefit far more from increasing health with attribute points (maybe around 20 points there).

energy is imho a waste, the returns are just not that great.

As melee, unless you have the abundance of "immortality" items, it is always a good thing to increase you base HP with hard points so it can be modified by your +%HP items (Hales come to mind).

STR and DEX indeed take more priority, but unless you are a pure mage going for 100% INT, I haven't used a build yet where in I put all my attribute pts that I got from lvl 1-65 + quest rewards, solely on STR and DEX. There will be leftover pts that can be given generously to Health.

The only time your Hard Points become really valuable is if you are creating a Hybrid class with very strict attribute requirements where in you have to spread yourself thin between INT,STR and DEX to optimize. By then, you'll have a low base HP (unless you have Nature Mastery), and "that's when you let the equipment take care of it." as somebody mentioned. Otherwise, putting hard points on Health is definitely not a waste.
