I followed the installation instructions and did everything correctly (i have a few other mods so i know how to install them) ,but when i click on paths in "Custom Quest", it loads my Custom Quest character:confused:. This has never happened to me in any other mod. Is something different in this one??

I guess when loading the mod, you load world01.map instead of main.map...
Most usual reason for this is, that the mod's folder is in a sudirectory in your custommaps-directory.
If using Beta9 you need to put the Pathsfolder from the "Paths Beta 9"-folder into your custommaps-directory, so the folder should be located here:
MyGames\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\Paths
and not here:
MyGames\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\Paths Beta 9\Paths
Did this cause the error?

Yeah I have no idea why that would happen. As well as what Draeziel mentioned, are you using the Steam version of TQ or the normal retail one? I'm sort of throwing darts in the dark

I need help, did I need to install the ver.1.0 before I install ver.1.1? I can install v1.0 and start normally but not ver.1.1. ...

hmm shouldn't make any different as far as I can tell, unless you dled the 1.1 patch dl then you need to install then path v1 first to be safe.

Yeah, the 1.1 patch ONLY has Paths.arz, which only has the system changes and stats.
The full Paths v1 has all of the resources, effects, descriptions, graphics, etc.
In short, you need v1, then patch to 1.1
You may be having a problem because you're starting the mod wrong. With the resources installed it will launch differently (loading the mod, then kicking back to normal singleplayer). Whereas if you are missing all of the resources it will behave differently, probably starting right away when you select Paths from the custom quest menu.
