My quest to get Blood of Ares!

Hey there everybody, I've heard Blood of Ares A.F. is not that common, so far i have run Epic Hades 67 times(3 mins per run). Haven't tried SP yet, and I was just wandering how many SP/Hades runs you guys had to do to get one??

I didn't even notice how many it took, I found one and was like, hey, this is better than the one I have and I have the ingredients already!

Oh ok, i'm just tired of wearing Soul Shiver, I'm up to Legendary Rhodes, and I've been wearing it since Normal Act 3. What arti are you wearing anyway?

One character has Star of Ishtar, another has Knot of Isis, and another has Golden Eye of Sun-Wukong(i think.). Another soon to wear the Ikon of Zeus. Blood of Ares is nice, but I prefer going for resistances or immunity.

But BoA can provide a significant boost to damage for a single item... easy to raise resists in other slots. I guess thats why I like it above all other artifacts for a melee character.

It's also easy to raise damage in the other slots. Damage resistance and projectile avoidance isn't so easy to attain. Some characters like hunters I prefer damage, but for melee I prefer resistances because I get a ton of damage from my passives and gear as it is. (Myrmidon's Pendant, Folg of Annihilation, Conqueror's Bracers, etc.)

Yeah, I didn't notice either. I usually ignore artifact formulae unless I notice that my character lacks in a good artifact. But even then I never look at divine ones, because they're **** hard to make. However I noticed that I had most of ingredients for it already, so I decided to make it. Right now it's the only Divine artifact I made so far. So yeah, it will come, just do not worry so much. Don't concentrate on one particular artifact. Keep your options open. There are some other good ones too, like Symbol of the Polymath for example.

@Seigefried, I'm switching back to Soul Shiver now that I found Necklace of Harmonia:D

@Asylum I tend to focus on Damage and squeeze by on Resists, I have found Ignore Pain with +4 to skills enough for D.R. especially with my Sasn. I'm close to getting Talisman of the Jade Emperor which I'll probably switch to for Typhon runs. %#$^ Spellbreaker:(

@Matseb Thanks man, Symbol of the Polymaph is 3rd arti I'm working on, just need one full relic or charm. Besides, I'm a bit of a collection freak, so once i finish running some Epic bosses for better body armor(Templar's Zeal currently) and Reagent farming, I'll be going for Symbol of the Polymath(not before I find Blood of Ares A.F. :D

No problem. I love Symbol of the Polymath. Using it on my Juggernaut at the moment.

Templar's Zeal is a cool armor. I remember I wore it for ages because nothing came up that could match it for a long time.

finally found my blood of ares ^^ in epic act4 in stygian marshes. it is a pitty for my diviner not doing bleeding damge (a %4o vit dmg instead of bleeding could make it my end game artifact ^^)
