AllSkins is a mod for Titan Quest - Immortal Throne. Once you load AllSkins on the game, you'll be able to buy more than 300 different bottles, which will change the way your player looks like. The changes done will be permanent (you don't need the mod to keep the player's appearance).

You can always go back to the original player's look by buying the basic colors from the original vendor in Helos.

New in version 0.8:

2 out of 6 vendors appear in Helos by default
By using an AllSkins's amulet, you can summon all the mod's 6 vendors. Vendors can be summoned - no matter where you are.
Adult skins' vendors don't appear in the mod unless you unlock their amulets specifically.
3D Models of the female player without the skirt and with a full-blown dress were added to the mod
100 or more skins were added to the mod.
When Soulseekkor's TQ Defiler 1.1.1 will be ready, it will include a feature to even enhance more the looks of your character.

version 0.8c is a general release. It is ready and is being posted tonight (2009-07-20).

Unsolvable by the mod or not related directly to the mod issues:

For people who use the fanpatch and are used to the fact that their bottles don't disappear when they leave the game: the newest bottles that are in AllSkins 0.8c but cannot be bought on the fanpatch's Pre-Release version of AllSkins WILL disappear if the user leaves the mod and enters the normal game. This may be fixed with the fanpatch 1.18, where the newest bottles may be added by the person who is responsible by fanpatch 1.18. For non-fanpatch users: all bottles DO disappear if you enter a normal game after using AllSkins. All you have to do is buy the bottle again (and preferentially use it before it disappears when leaving the game).
Please note that the skin that you have changed to is not affected by bottles disappearing. It will remain, even outside the mod, independently of bottles disappearing or not.
Names of bottles may change for 1.17 fanpatch users, since some names used by the mod exist also on the fanpatch, and when the mod is not active, the names stored on the fanpatch are used. Can only be solved by the coordenator of fanpatch 1.18.

AllSkins 0.8c Fix for TQMM

This is the fix, which allows to use AllSkins 0.8c and TQMM simultaneously. If you don't use TQMM or you don't know even what it is, you don't need this fix.

"C: \Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne \ Resources"

(or wherever your Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources was installed).

Important: Only the files should be there, please do not create any "AllSkins-08C-TQMMfix" directory!

Thereafter, the run the batch AllSkins08c_TQMMfix_en.bat (in english) or AllSkins08c_TQMMfix_de.bat "(in german).

As a proof of feasibility, there is a file that TQM Female Tanktops.zip means. TQMM users can use this file. All femalepc01_NYours .... files will be changed when you apply this with TQMM. You can check the difference if you buy the Yours Placeholder bottles on Helos (from Jack Sparrow). These skins will have Tanktops from "The Raven" instead of the standard tunic. These Tanktops (instead of the standard colors) can only be seen on the Skirt mod of AllSkins, when buying the Nyours_Placeholder bottles from Jack Sparrow.

French translation is missing. Will not be corrected on 0.8c, but on 0.8d release.
French dialogs are missing. Will not be corrected on 0.8c, but on 0.8d release.

Issues below are 0.8d related. While 0.8c is meant to be a fully functional release, 0.8d will have some add-ons (not intended for everyone though).

AllSkins 0.8 for Titan Quest (not Immortal Throne) is missing. Will be included on 0.8d release.
There's still no simple way to change bumpmaps - will probably be solved by using SoulSeekkor's TQ Defiler.

Thanks - although I have to admit there were times I wasn't sure I had enough imagination to keep coming up with distinctive enough bottles... but they do look pretty good now that all is done...

Wonderful job guys! I want to ask your permission to include this in the unoffical patch (if luedtke is willing to implement it). But since both projects are still in active development, I'm not sure if that's such a good idea...

yerkyerk, depending on the way the patch is done, you don't need to include it.

- If the patch will change the database.arz (which I think it's the way it's going to be), the allskins mod can be used together with it with no need to include it.

- Only if the patch is going to be a true separate mod, then we can think of including it, it will be nice to have them together.

Anyway, the AllSkins mod is finished as far as we both (me and fathersquid) are concerned. We may release a new version only if there's 16+ skins to add again. And of course, there will be an update when the french version is complete, but that won't change anything on the AllSkins mod, just add the french translations.

Wow! Lots of skins to choose from :) Nice! This is a great mod! It gives my heroes just that little added bit of individuality they craved for.

Though it'd be easier if there was some kind of table that showed how all skins looked - ah, it's not that hard to test them.
Another point - I can only see the bottles if I set texture quality to high (on medium and low they appear as dots). I assume this is a known problem for which no known work-around exists though.
Btw, what's with the "Your Placeholder [colorname]" bottles?

Well, it wasn't known to me... and I doubt Lufe knew it either... my guess is that there are more texture files for the bottles at other quality levels? Maybe? I've only ever played on high...

As for the placeholder, that is in case you want to place your own skins into the mod, check the changelog file with the mod for instructions... well actually I guess it is to use your own skins in conjunction with the mod....

Ah, ok.

Well, we also ran in that problem with fixing a visual bug in the patch thread.
If I set my resolution to either medium or low (on 1440x900, don't know if it affects other resolutions) the changed items shrink to an almost invisible size. You could try setting your texture quality lower and see if it affects your bottles. We couldn't find a work-around for it in the patch, I_Raps mentioned something that the programmers used another program than we did.

a note to all fellow travelers:

on the off-hand chance you apply one of these most cool skins and your char looks something like this:

you, my friend have screwed up. while some may think the blue and yellow checkered pattern is ... cool?, it is obviously not the intended result.

if you would rather have something that looks like this

then carefully RE-READ the installation instructions, especially the part about where to put the "Creatures" folder. it's all right there as plain as day.

i found a way to fix your textures not displaying right on anything but high, i'd be more then happy to make another installer for your mod to make them work and maby later on when the bug fix patch is ready include it with that if you'll permit it.

I'll also be makeing a tutorial later today to show people how to fix the textures

Alright today i will teach you how to import textures to IT using artmanager
First off artmanager is extremely anal about importing textures so have a baseball bat and a few things handy to brake with it, in extreme cases lol

Ok things you will need:

1) Any image editor capable of saving your textures in Targa (.TGA) i use adobe illustrator, you can also use photoshops .PSD but it had about a 50/50 chance of working where TGA was closer to 90.

2) Images must be 24 bit depth

3) for items
Textures must be 32x32 pixels per block it takes up in inventory i'm sure you can do the math on that one its not really that hard.

Ok lets get started:

First take the Items.arc from your IT resources/xpack dir and copy it to the resources folder in what ever dir you set as your build dir in artmanager, must be in the original folders not a custommap

Next open artmanager, in the first window that shows up create a folder under source called "Items" then your path you set for the item(s) then import your items. i'll use the Anubis relic fix as an example Here (http://mtgfaster.com/relic.jpg)

Then select each file and right click it selecting auto-create asset
a window should pop up like so (http://mtgfaster.com/asset.jpg)
select bitmap the click ok and ok for the next window

Look in the Assets section (witch should now be an exact mirror of your sources) also the textures you imported should now say "In Progress"
example here (http://mtgfaster.com/progress.jpg)

Then simply right click the main dir in the assets tab and select "Build"
if you messed up somewhere program will crash if you did it right it will add your textures to the Items.arc

Copy your Items.arc back in to the (IT dir)/resources/xpack and enjoy

I've made all efforts to make it real a step-by-step manual how to install it. Could you download it, see the manual, and tell me if there's any trouble installing it for you? I'd like to see your feedback.

@luedtke6788, it seems complicated, but I'll try it out sometime and see if I got any good result out of it. You see, my items.arc is inside the mod, so I'm not very sure if it will work even if I do it on the game's items.arc and then get it back on the mod's items.arc *scratches head*. Anyway, it's worth a try. Too bad I have no chance of doing it soon, I'm curious to see if it would work.

Also,

About including it on the patch, we can do it yup, then it doesn't need to be started as a mod anymore, it can be included right in the main campaign. Whoever has the patch will automatically have the mod. Since the mod doesn't add any "cheat" or unbalances the game, I think that maybe it can be considered neutral in this respect. Yerkyerk has only asked it, the answers were positive, so... let's see how the thing goes. As far as I'm concerned, having it on the main campaign would be a nice-to-have (meaning not really necessary but nice anyway).

The main reason I've made the mod the way it is now was to have it so that people wouldn't have problems with Multi-Player when installing it. The patch will anyway make it in such a way that only people having the same patch will be able to play together, so adding the AllSkins mod on the patch won't make any difference in this respect.

Okay, I tried this with my Anubis Relics to make them visible in Low Textures, and I'm afraid it didn't work. It DID install the bitmaps into the items.arc and make them usable by the game... but they're still microbes in the Low Textures Setting.

The .tex files created (in Assets) were less than 1k and unreadable by TextureViewer - I assume they were the little dots. :errf:

If you can actually make this work, there must be something more involved than what you've posted. One possibility - what is the size and date of TextureCompiler.exe in your C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne folder?

@I_Raps make sure you delete or move any external textures out of your DB folder and resources folder, external textures take priority over the ones in .arc
also the .tex in assets are only links to the files and what settings are applied to it, it compiles the actual .tex when its built witch can be found in your build folder should be about 3-6kb depending on the size of the pic

Well, I see one difference just from the file size. I used the TQ Items.arc, since that's where the relics originally were.

I shall try again with the TQIT file.

Very neat mod guys. I played with something similar awhile back, but instead of ingame like yours mine was a selectable "race" at creation. While that added smoothness I like how yours is simple yet fllexible. Keep up the good work.

I have put them in the items.arc so that they can be transfered and stored with TQVault. For the most part, they go in the folder with the dbr (such as \resources\xpack\item.arc\equipmentarmor\helm.

Early on I tried various things, such as putting them in the uibitmaps folders etc., but nothing made them show up as anything but question marks, so I started putting them in the folders to make them easy to find in ArtManager.

If I use a bitmap already in the game, it shows up as seen above. The custom bitmaps don't, even if it's a known bitmap copied to a new location (such as a TQ bitmap copied to the TQIT items.arc).

I had to put all of them in the TQIT items.arc because putting anything in the TQ items.arc caused problems - what I posted above with the green Essences is an example.

That actual picture was due to a problem that I have since resolved (putting the Anubis Relic art in the TQ items.arc earlier). I am going to try luedtke6788's approach one more time with a clean batch of arc files - I had to back up all my characters since they're virtually all loaded with custom stuff that will disappear if they happen to get loaded with the original database.

 If I ever get this thing in condition to release, I was thinking I might have to put everything in a custom.arc file. If luedtke6788's method works out, though, I'll just damn the torpedoes and include a replacement items.arc file if necessary.

Theres still something going on here may just be a fluke of nature but i just add one texture to a clean items.arc and TQVault Freaked out with the ? mark pics again it just seems to be random items, everything in IT seems to be working correctly.

the only thing i can figure out is and i don't know if this makes a difference in TQVault or not.
when artmanager is used it compresses the .arc or DB files with the value 9, but the original files are compressed with as far as i can tell a 4, so any mods you make are going to have a higher compression ratio then the originals.

oh and for those of you who don't know or never played with the dos apps in the game folder artmanager is just a gui frontend for the dos apps. The dos apps have a much greater range of features (like compression) then artmanager.

About AllSkins x Masteries: it's a 10 minutes work to get AllSkins integrated on Masteries mod. They're pretty much "mixable", much more than AllSkins with any other mod, since they're done technically speaking on the same way. But since AllSkins would be an "add-on" to Masteries and not the contrary, you'd have to talk PinkFrog into adding it there. I believe if sufficient people will want it, he will do it.

Note: There's a workaround to have your skin and play Masteries though: if you start a new char, you can start it on the main campaign with AllSkins mod on, get a little money, buy your skin, apply it and THEN use this char on Masteries. It will work well if you do all this BEFORE choosing the first mastery, so it has to be done just in the beginning of the game with a clean char. Once you choose your first mastery on "Masteries", you can't go back to AllSkins on the main game and change your skin.

@I_Raps: if you manage to get this whole "shrunken relic" stuff working, could you please post a simple explanation of how you made it work? It would be great to have the bottles working on all textures

@bman: if you read this, please do this change you have talked about. It would add a BIG flexibility to TQVault. If, when you get the path from the .dbr, you look at ...\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\<path of the .dbr file>, then on ...\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest\Database\<path of the .dbr file> and only then on the items.arc file, then all kins of custom .tex files could make their way inside TQVault with no additional effort spent.

You know, I would the provide a separate .zip file with all the bottles .tex files and tell people to unpack it on the ...\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\ folder with the sole purpose of seeing the bottles on TQVault. I consider TQVault being THE first necessity program of Titan Quest, and nothing that doesn't work with it 100% well can be told to be finished completely.

For custom items, may I suggest a change that will solve their relation with TQVault for good?

I would like you to try not only finding the item on database.arz (TQ when not xpack/ and TQIT's when xpack/ like today), but when NOT finding them there, could you please look at "TQVault.arz"? That new file would be present in the same place as the .vault files are today (making it easy to find out for TQVault) and it would be the perfect place for all modders to enter their custom items (with the same structure of the database.arz, of course, so you would have only to change the name of the file to read from database.arz to TQVault.arz and keep the logic intact on the program).

That leads me to the next question: is it possible to make it in such a way that we (modders) could at installation time "inject" our items on this TQVault.arz? I don't know how easy or difficult that is.

If someone is reading this and has something ideas of an easier way of implementing this idea (having custom items show on TQVault without giving to much work to bman/EJFudd) please write your idea here.

@luedtke6788: hmm. (a) I didn't know zlib supported different compression levels and (b) I would think that would break all items and not just some randomly. I wonder if it is a bug in my .arc decoding. Maybe use archivetool to generate the listing of the contents of your modified .arc file and upload the results and I can compare it to the unmodified listing and see if anything looks different.

@lufe: how about in the TQVaultData folder, we make a new "database" folder and custom dbr's just go in there with the appropriate paths? That way you wouldn't have to merge .arz files. Just drop new entries in from your mod folder.

Those are some of my new items. Note that they are just packed in at the end of the file. The archivetool does not place them in the list alphabetically. So, using bman654's scheme, TQVault looks at the specified block of items (equipmentweapons/bow for example), doesn't find the new entry and throws up a question mark.

Archivetool's Usage doesn't show a repack command of any sort. The only alternative I can think of would be to extract everything, then repack it all in the correct order. Heinous.

As for your "TQVault has gone crazy" issue, I've run into that from time to time. I found by chance that simply rearranging the order that I added the new files fixes it. The packing algorithm must drop the EndOfFile character or something that pushes everything out of place. Usually, it makes all the XPack items take on the bitmaps 4kb before them, which is typically a different item in the same category (Pytho shows the bitmap for Pyrophoric Lop, for example). Sometimes it's not an actual bitmap, though, but a piece of a file - and that causes big problems. I keep only a Scepter of the Shadow King on the first page of Main Vault now. It has never crashed the program, but if I open TQVault and see the wrong bitmap, I know I have to make an adjustment.

p.s. You CAN specify the compression using Archivetool, by the way. I know that you have to use compression 6 to add text to text_en.arc, for example.

the alphabetical order doesn't matter. At least it shouldn't. TQVault searches the entire catalog ("archivetool -list" if you will) looking for the records.

I think I'll build a version of TQVault with the debug logging turned on for the code which searches the .arc files. Then one of you can run it with a messed up .arc and send me the resulting log file. From that I should be able to figure out the cause.

For example, in my case, I would enhance my mod to add the .dbr's to your new TQVault/Database directory, then add the .tex files to the Program Files/Database with the only purpose of them being accessible via TQVault.

Once you see the bad behaviour quit and look in your TQVault folder for a new file called tqdebug.txt. Upload that file so I can see what TQVault is not liking about the .arc files.

p.s. this version is pretty slow to start up so I recommend putting back a normal version of tqvault once done making the debug file.

Yeah that's what I was thinking of. The game stores items on your character savegame with "records\item\animalrelics\etc.dbr" so you'd need to keep that same folder structure intact in the TQVaultData\Database folder so it matches what you used in your mod. TQVault works best if the dir structure you use is similar to the main game items.

How slow is it supposed to be? It seemed to hang on "loading resources," so I tried again with the original items.arc and it still seemed to hang (five minutes).

Instead of trying to debug the logged version so it will work on my computer, here's something you can try on your own.

Unzip it in C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne.
Backup your Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\xpack\items.arc and run the batch file.

This will replace two helmets with their original textures, but repacked. It will also put my corrected Anubis Relics in there.

You can then see these items in the included New Vault.vault. If all goes as planned, it should generate your debugging info. The changes WILL produce the question marks for the helmets, though, even though they're the exact same bitmaps packed (theoretically) in the exact same folders.

However, these changes will NOT produce the "TQVault gone crazy" phenomenon. I haven't run into it in some time and don't remember (or want to) how to duplicate that; we may have to wait for luedtke6788 to reappear if that info is necessary.

I DO have a hunch it has something to do with those relics, though. They are in the Immortal Throne items.arc but the originals are in the Titan Quest items.arc, and I remember at least a couple of my "crazy" episodes involved reskinning TQ items.

For those of us who enjoy trying different skins for our characters this mod is great. The only real problem is that with 200 skins, it is hard to remember what each looks like. I decided to create a visual guide to all of the skins so I could choose what I wanted for a particular character before I loaded up the mod. With Lufe's permission, I am making these files available for download. The zip file contains three htm files (and the folders with the corresponding images): one containing the adult skins, one with the general female skins, and one with the general male skins.

Thanks to Fathersquid & Lufe for creating the mod, and thanks to all the incredibly talented modders who created the skins.

well i added your mod to my installer and integrated a compiler directly into the installer to keep the file size down, hope you like it, oh and since i started using the .arc compiler i made for the installer TQVault hasn't had any crazy side affects. link in sig

I had the same problem when I first tried installing it. A couple of things to check:

1. Look in your custommaps folder and open up the AllSkins0.7 folder. Inside should be 2 folders: 'database' & 'resources'. I originally had a second 'Allskins0.7' folder inside the first. Once I got rid of the extra layer it worked fine.

2. Make sure the 'Creatures' files are in the Immortal Throne Database folder, not the Vanilla TQ one.

Yes, I would suggest checking the directories things are placed in - be sure to follow the same structure as outlined in the readmefirst.html file included with allskins...
If it still doesn't work, lufe may be able to give you more detailed installation instructions but he may also need a bit more info about what paths things are in, etc...

The 0.7a release would include no change to the mod other than minor adjustments:

- Include the french translation by Shadowlich (thanks Shadowlich for the work!!!)
- If possible, fix the .tex issue where the bottles get tiny on less than high texture quality (I didn't understand if this was solved at all, so not sure if it can be done)
- Make the installation guide more fool proof;
- Point to a site where the Visual Guide by ClosetChemist will be shown.

Your problem is most probably what ClosetChemist says: you have to have this structure:

...\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\custommaps\AllSkins0-7\ where the "database" and "resources" directory will be and NOT
...\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\custommaps\AllSkins0.7\AllSkins0-7\

Note that on the second (wrong) structrure, there's one directory more.

- If possible, fix the .tex issue where the bottles get tiny on less than high texture quality (I didn't understand if this was solved at all, so not sure if it can be done)

It would be nice to have this in a site too, so it's immediately clickable, you know. I'll see if I get it done too.

i did exactly the same thing GWarrior did, when i initially installed. i found the problem and corrected it. maybe in your rewrite of the install readme something to the effect of "extract all into temp folder, then drag & drop into the correct location"

Shadowlich - don't worry, when it's ready, it's ready. It's not as I've seen many interest there anyway - but since I don't know the forum well, I might be wrong.

I think the skin names shouldn't be translated - this because if someone want to look in the .tex files or in the .dbr's of the mod, the names that are there are the English ones anyway.

Take your time, make it in such a way that you're proud of yourself and then we'll see. I've seen that you left me a message but I was on a trip and couldn't download it. I'll do it today night.

Masteries mod translation takes the time of all people there.
SkinForDummies was already not used by a lot of people and most of them are gone (but users may have install it without posting).
As for our MI topics they are most "read and use" topics.

So for skin names I did the right thing since I thought about it the same way :D

I noticed when you use a custom dye found in this mod the defiler shows the colors name (like aisth etc etc or something). Now if you would know all of these names couldnt you just use the defiler to change your dye color to one of the custom ones?

That would make it work with masteries :).

That would make it work with masteries :).You're right. There's 2 workaround for use it with Masteries:

1) For a new char, start the game with AllSkins mod on but without Masteries, get a little money, get your bottle, use it and change your skin. Do all of this before picking up your Mastery. Then continue with the char on the Masteries mod, it won't have any bad side-effect since you've never chosen any Mastery yet.

2) You can use Defiler to change the skin directly if you have AllSkins Mod installed. I mean, you have to have AllSkins mod installed before doing this, even if for the Masteries char you won't be using the Mod. So, provided that you installed the AllSkins mod correctly, you can enter Defiler, go to the tab "Character", and on the "Tunic Color" box, you can change it for the following strings:

Note: this method can be used to change the char in ANY mod that has the female player and the male player, including Lilith, Masteries, etc, even if those mods don't have the AllSkins merchants. Just beware and don't use it on the mods that use Maenads, Crocmans or other Creatures as the player char.

For Female (note that values starting with "A" are adult skins, with "N" are General skins):

I'll put my 2 cents in for including the allskins mod in the fanpatch. I've been using it for the past week with no problems. THe new merchants are even in the masteries mod.

Some other surprises of the AllSkins mod: I believe it is compatible without changes with Vanilla TQ (only change would be installing the Creatures to the \Program Files\...\Database\Creatures of TQ and not TQIT, and the mod itself on ...My Documents\...\Custommaps\AllSkins0-7\ on the Titan Quest subfolder and not on the IT subfolder. If anyone would be interested on this, I might test it.

I can't get the all skins mod to work. I've set it up in the TQ IT folder as instructed, and it shows up as 'all skins' on IT custom game.. I go to helos and there's just a lot of poxy colour dyes. help.. I want to go topless this summer....
there must be something missing on the files.. I went to the woman seller and the items show'd up as a text only, I applied a skin and it was blue and yellow squares...

It's the place where you include the "creatures" folder.

If you don't unzip it carefully, you'll get a "Creatures\Creatures\pc\"... etc folder, instead of a "Creatures\pc\"... folder.

When you place this folder in C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database, you will have a

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\Creatures\Creatures\pc\" folder, which is wrong. There is one more "Creatures" on the path then it should be.

To solve this, you have to move the Creatures folder up, so that you end with:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Database\Creatures\pc\"...

drunkspidergirl, I hope I could explain the problem (it's just about how you install the mod), but if I wasn't clear, please ask again, I'll try to explain better. Also, please report if you could install it successfully.

Slayer-of-Titans: you have to set your texture options to High. This will be fixed on the next patch, so you don't need to worry about it anymore.

To set the textures to high, on the main menu, go to "Options", "Video", "Texture Quality" and set it to "High".

To remove the adult skins, you have to do this:

- I want to switch to non-adult AllSkins. How do I do that?

Go to C:\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\Allskins0-7\database\ directory (or your equivalent

directory to this), rename allskins0-7.arz to allskins0-7.adult AND rename allskins0-7.nonadult to allskins0-7.arz.

This is written on the FAQ of the AllSkins mod :rolleyes:

Well, yes, I was referring to it one page ago...

There's 54 new skins that will be added. Also, there's a new feature that will allow to use a bmp specific to each char, making all of them even more beautiful :)

On the down side, the mod will grow in space too... I hope it will be under 100MB, but I'm not sure.

The new AllSkins will be even better, about it you can be sure :)

Also in work is a feature to make the mod easier to install.

Other than that, there was manastream, but it's not been talked much lately.

Tormentress was also being done.

Lilith 1.0 is almost ready (and it has integrated allskins inside)

Blood Mod from i.n.s.a.n.e is almost ready.

The transparentUI mod from p0a is also ready.

luedtke is working hard on her Unofficial patch.

There was a talk about other mod, "Frozen World" I believe, which is also big, but I never heard anything again about it.

Hi Slayer-of-Titans. I do know that it's impossible to do something like you wish without changing the whole game. The game just isn't prepared to have a Player Char (PC) mounting on a horse. It IS possible, tough, to play as a Centaur. The point is, there's no logic on the game to support one player mounting a beast.

Any estimate on when new all skins mod will be done? My gf and I love it, and she bugs me all the time to "get new skins." Every time she puts on different armor, she has to change skins until she finds one that matches, whereas I like to pick just 1 skin for a character and leave it.

Actually, that reminds me of a great feature I'd love: stacks of skin bottles.

Whenever she gets new outfits, she makes me watch as she tries on the new skins and give my opinion. But, she never writes down what the names are, and so we restart the game a lot to get the bottles again. And then she'll decide on a skin, and then at the last minute try on a different one, and then we gotta restart again so she can buy back the last one that she's decided she actually liked more.

If they were like health and mana potions, that would be sweet. Or, maybe if they were in stacks of 50 or so, then we could rebuy the same skin, and still have a counter for people to know which skins they've already tried. Not to mention, it would save you the frustration of accidentally selling back a skin into oblivion instead of applying it. :)I believe that this is possible to do. I will look at it.

The AllSkins mod 1.1 will take something like 3 weeks (roughly speaking) to be ready though. That because of a new feature where the mod will detect a mesh and a bmp file from the name of the skin.

This means, if you use a skin that is made for the skirtless mesh from p0a, it will be automatically detected and the mesh itself will be changed on the next time you enter the game with your char. Also, the bmp file that is made specially for that skin will be loaded instead of the one that is loaded today (which has very little done on it, so that it works for all skins).

Also, if a skin is made with blond hair, it will be detected and the corresponding femalepchairhelmet will be used. Of course, if we talk about blond, we also talk about dark, red hair, etc... of course, on this particular, many other stuff has to be done (changing all corresponding helmets). That won't be done by the AllSkins mod. Still, it will be a step on the right direction.

The result of all this is that there's a lot of work to be done. And the skins to include have become something roughly 70, so that's also a big count.

And I wanted to take the opportunity to show the new highlights of the version 1.1. As I told, with the help of luedtke, the mod will allow for the automatic selection of bmps and meshes. This opens a lot of possibilities. Here are screenshots of some of the additions to the mod:

Poa has nicely created a recolor of Shark's netoweb that I've asked for and there result can be seen here (the bikini is not a part of the model, I just added it for the non-adult photo. If requested by someone I can add the bikini version to AllSkins too):

Both works use the toga mesh, a mesh that existed but was never used on the original game.

It does matter....

I'm pretty sure that it is the low textures that are causing you the problem... try switching to high and that should work.

Or just look closely. I play on medium textures, and the 'bottles' are simply displayed very small. They are there, in the top left hand corner of the inventory slot, just a bit on the wee side!

Well, from my side, my artwork was put on hold as I relocated, and packing, moving, unpacking, and fixing up the new house took more of my time than I expected... as such I haven't been in touch with lufe lately... however if he reads this, I'm practically ready to go - in fact I've started on the first few you sent me, but I will need the others you plan to include.

The artwork segment itself goes pretty fast - on a good day, I can do 10-20 bottles easily... but I'm not sure where the programming of things is right now. Hopefully lufe will give us an update as well...

This really is not related to AllSkins, but since it was brought up in this thread I will reply here. A while back, there was some discussion on the ? which shows up after adding items to an arc file.

I finally had some free time and started working on TQVault again so I looked into it. Turns out that when things are added with archivetool, they are not compressed and are only stored in the file. TQVault only supported compressed data in an ARC file so that is why the bitmap lookups were failing. I have fixed this in 2.15 BETA5 thanks to I_Raps test files which are included this thread. I have a few more things in TQVault to fix and I will be posting something in the TQVault thread.

If you are interested in suggestions for the next version. Is there any way to make it so you can buy a particular skin more than once without having to restart everything? It would be somewhat easier to find a favorite skin if you could go back and forth. But since you've already made it much easier to find a favorite skin than it used to be, this is a pretty minor request. Thank you!

And a lazy thank you to all the skinners who have contributed skins for this mod. Really great work here.

The blue and yellow checkerboard is indicative of a missing texture file. My guess would be things are not in the proper directory, or an incomplete/improper installation. Check things or re-install if necessary.

As well, in a previous version of AllSkins, lufe points out that....

1) If you are using custom skin(s) from an older AllSkins mod, enter the game before installing this version, BUY A STANDARD DYE skin and apply it to your character(s) that have non-standard skins.

This is not a must do, but it is advisable. If you don't do it, after applying the mod, you'll have a blue/yellow checkers char until you buy a new dye again and apply it.

Also, SELL all your bottles if you still have them. AllSkins 0.5 and prior bottles are not compatible with AllSkins 0.6 mod.

That might be part of your problems...

This looks like a cool mod, is there any way to get these skins into the game without modifying the Database folder?

I am playing on gametap, and I can install the mod but can't put the textures in the Database directory due to gametap encryption of the game files, thus I get the yellow and blue texture when using the dye bottles.

Is there any way to make the game look for the textures in a different path?

Yup - I'm thinking about just that. I didn't even realize that there was people who had encrypted game files. Must be tough, nothing can be done on the game itself.
I even don't see the point: with the game costing something like 15 bucks on the stores, who would bother using it another way anyway? But tastes are tastes...

So I would do it this way: release a version that is like the previous, and a version which is encrypted-file-game friendly.

I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about here... Do you mean sort of paper doll type character creation where you change skin tone, clothes, hair, etc?

If so, I don't think it is quite that easy... there are pretty good reasons why every girl has the same hair and so on... Such a program would probably be way beyond the ability of most of us here... The original programming didn't allow a lot of variation in characters, I know for a long time meshes have plagued skin builders creating anomalies in their desired skins, and quirks such as the fact that the helmet items are made for one hair style and color, and attempts to change it leave you with a messy looking character.

While I wish it was possible to have greater character customization in the game, I figure these pre-packaged skins are about as far as it goes... and there are not a lot (if any) active skin makers anymore...

what i mean is that you know when you start up TQ/IT and you have your char standing there what i thought was you had a plain character with just what you start off with then it has tools at the side in which you can colour the clothes and skin to make it look like what you want

I think several of the humans in TQ have a beard applied to them through a mesh (and on some it looks really stupid).

What I'd be thinking of is visiting a barber, buying a beard, and a mesh appears on your toon (I'm not sure how wide the variety is in beards and moustaches to make this even worth considering..)

Hm, I'm not sure what you mean, Yerkyerk. Some of the toons on AllSkins already have a beard, so that's for sure not what you mean, right?

If you want a BIG beard, one that is bigger than the face, then yes, a mesh would have to be done. Now, there's no "separate mesh for beard" way of adding the beard to a char. Basically, there would be only 2 ways of doing that:

1) A Helm that had a beard mesh. By applying that specific helm, the beard came together with it.
2) A whole new male mesh that had a beard. Just like there is the skirtless mesh for female, there could be a bearded mesh for male.

Any of those options would require that some talented person used p0a's mesh editor and created said meshes... and then someone else would be needed to create the textures.

Then if you used the bearded mesh (by manually changing it on your TQ), the other toons (the non-bearded textures) would be weird during the time that you had the bearded mesh active and when you got back to the non-bearded mesh, your bearded texture would also look weird.

That said, it's possible to do it, it's just not very comfortable for a player and it's definetely not recommendable for beginners to use.

It's indeed a bigger beard. There are several moustaches and beards available in the database - I think they're applied the same way as helmets (though I think they can have both a beard and a helm). I guess what would be required for this is that consuming an item should perma-attach a mesh to the players head (that doesn't dissappear when the player attaches a helm).

Also, would there be any interest in a mesh that can have asymmetrical (sic?) textures - I want a bloke with an eye-patch, and it doesn't currently seem possible unless Im missing something?

Did you check if you have all things in the right directories? It seems so, but check again. Here are the places you have to check:

It seems to me that you didn't unlock the amulets. You unlock them following the instructions below:

Acquiring the 4 non-adult vendor's amulets:

Enter Titan Quest: Immortal Throne
Click on "Play Custom Quest" and Start one of the 3 AllSkins mods (any of them, the standard, Dress or Skirtless mod)
You'll be led back to the main page like nothing happened. Hit the "Start" button on the below and right corner of the game (like starting a normal game)
Now you're starting the standard game with AllSkins mod loaded. Hit the "<Esc>" Key.
Click in "Unlock Content" and enter the code 135180
4 Amulets will fall on the ground. Get them.
If you use one of those amulets, a vendor will appear in front of you. Don't use 2 amulets while standing on the same place, otherwise the vendors will appear on top of each other.
When you start titan quest again WITHOUT AllSkins mod, the amulets will look like useless rings, 4 of them with just the name "Bronze". DON'T THROW THEM AWAY; you will need them when you enter the AllSkins mod again to summon the vendors.
If you lose any of the amulets, you can't unlock them again with the same player. Create a new player and follow the same instructions above, get the amulets and store them on your shared stash. You can delete the player you created after if you wish.
If you use the fanpatch and have artifacts to summon vendors, those won't work while you have the AllSkins mod loaded. That is to prevent confusion between the mod and the embedded pre-release version AllSkins from the fanpatch.

To get the adult amulets, do the same as above but use the code found here:

What i failed to do was:
You must, after unpacking the files to a directory, Move the "Skins" folder to a specific location, the one specified in the directions. Then you run the necessary batch file. I failed to move the skins file, which caused the characters to appear as skinless floating ghosts.

Is it possible to provide alternative mirrors? Sendspace seems to be always busy to me...

I could suggest other mirror sites, such as Megaupload or Mediafire.

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally realised that 1.17 has Allskins included. I read it somewhere, but didn't seek out how to enable it. Mod looks great, nice job.

I can go further with it tonight, but i was wondering if more people LOSE the stash in Helios, when activate your mod. ( A merchant stands there to sell female classy clothes )

The place where this female is is NOT where your stash is. The classy vendor (when the mod is active) occupies a the place where a woman gives food to chicken (when the mod is not active). The stash is further down, near the fat vendor from Helios (the original Helios vendor).

Check it and you'll find it.

I just installed allskins, and i've followed the instructions in installation. however, when i try to run allskins mod, no matter which mod i choose (skirt, dress, skirtless), i ALWAYS end up with the dress mod. I've tried to reinstall the mod, but the same thing happens. is there something i didn't do or did wrongly?

I'm having a little trouble with the mod... I followed the installation process, but when I run the game, nothing happears in the maps window in custom game, so I can't run TQIT in AllSkins mod, and I think it's the reason why the 'OK' is greyed when I try to enter unlock codes.
Any idea how to fix it ?

Edit : I reinstall both games, and reinstalled everything, but I still have this problem...
ReEdit : I followed the instructions of this thread (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/technical-issues-bug-reports-masteries/28540-custom-game-problem-xmax.html), and it worked. Problem settled !

Although I've managed to get -some- functionality, it certainly does not behave as you say it should, nor does it operate correctly even with the limited functionality I've been able to achieve.

Finally, I wonder why it has all these codes to begin with? And why you have two seperate codes, one which can't be found? What's with that?

I'm sorry about this. The installation is not simple, because the mod has become a bit complex with the offer of a lot of options.

Yes - the place where the batch installation file is (the Setup____In_English.bat file) should be something like:

C:\Documents and Settings\Phileksa\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\AllSkPackIT0-8c\

In other words, the batch file tests if its directory (where it resides) is 2 levels up from the "Titan Quest - Immortal Throne" directory . This means, taking off AllSkPackIT0-8c directory and CustomMaps directory, there must be a "Titan Quest - Immortal Throne" directory. Somehow your files are not correctly put, otherwise this error ("Titan Quest Immortal Throne not installed!" ) wouldn't appear.

Finally, I wonder why it has all these codes to begin with? And why you have two seperate codes, one which can't be found? What's with that?The 2 separate codes are meant to give a chance for easily-offended people (in matter of nudity) to NOT see the nude skins of the mod. If you don't want to search for the nude skins unlock codes, you won't, and you won't have the rings that allow for the merchants that sell nude skins to appear.

I have to note that I'm NOT a puritan person, and I think that getting horrified with nude skins is for sure not my thing; but there has been complaints, and this was the best compromise I could get. You get the codes for the non-nude skins on the instructions, and if you wish to search (it's not that hard) you get also the other code.

Well, I just tried(Hopefully I did it correct...Nope...) I logged into TQ and my toon stands there... With both arms spread, hair all over the place, and lookin like a lost puppy, lol. Hmm, Is there ANY good mods for the Org TQ that work well? I used the skins for dummies or w/e it is, those are cool, just... Yours are cooler XD Would love to get them working some how... Plz let me know.

Beware, though, that the installation is different than the 0.8 installation. The instructions on how to install come with the mod, in some html files. Read them carefully and you should be ok.

Heya guys. Gotta say that I love TQ so far. Picked up both TQ and TQIT at a discount store recently and the gameplay is loads of fun. Of course, the female is fairly ugly and I tried using these skin mods. Allskins is giving me a lot of trouble installation-wise. I followed many a thread and all the instructions, checking directories and reinstalling several times.

What it boils down to is this: I run the setup bat and I get lines of "Access Denied" in the window whenever it attempts to create a directory.

I tried running as an administrator and once it does, it claims that it "could not find Titan Quest - Immortal Throne" and aborts.

Anyone have a fix?

You have to run the .bat with "run as administrator", but if you do so the base directory of the batch job will be c:\windows\system32 instead of the assumed "my games" directory, so you have to adjust the batch file.

Open the batch file in a text editor. Add the following lines right before the line "goto TestCustomMaps" inside the "STARTING PROGRAM" block.

cd C:\Documents and Settings\<TestUser>\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\AllSkPackIT0-8c\

iv been trying to get this mod working now for the last hour but it just aint happenin and i dont know why?

i follow the instructions step by step and by the time i need to run the batch files 'English-Setup.bat' to get my language my directory is as it should be: C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\AllSkPackIT0-8c

however when i try to open as administrator 'English-Setup.bat' the the same pop up always comes up

iv followed everything but it just aint working. i tried doing it several times as well seeing if i made a mistake but the same message always comes up.

Two suggestions... the instructions assume you have a retail copy of TQ and IT installed. If you do not (say you have a digital version) you will have to change a few things perhaps with your installation paths.
Check vorbis' post back a few messages...

Secondly, if you are using the fanpatch, then you already have access to 90% of the skins anyways... you can just use the codes that are built into the fanpatch.

im not currently using the fanpatch and i have no real idea what it is i'll look into it on these forums. thing is i never really use mods im always abit hesitant in case anything goes wrong but i liked the idea of skins so i wanted to give it a try...shame tho that im obviously doing something wrong and i have no clue as to what it is.

I can't get the default dress/skirt/skirtless to work at all, it says successful but it is always skirt regardless when I go ingame. I have also tried running as administrator.

Am I missing something here... When I do the unlock code for the amulets it drops only 3 named amulets and the 4th one is Broze. This is supposed to be the "Caitlyn's amulet, the Recolors and Variations non-adult female skins vendor amulet "

so i went and started the game.

went to custom quest.

the custom quest/maps were empty

there were no errors in installation, as far as i can figure all is where it should be. i followed the guides.

my install directory is D:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest Immortal Throne\CustomMaps

help!

btw since i haven't tried the game much, will using colossus form make the char bigger, or will it give you a new look/mesh/skin entirely?

i'm thinking giant nekkid lady would be awesome.

Wow I been trying to get this to work for ages, I basically just installed TQ, TQIT, and fan patch, I installed your mod, I put the file into doc IT CustomMaps and put the 4 files into C:steam ...resources. then I ran that batch as english. Ran game picked dress, I did try all 3, starts loading says router fail, then I start new game, I just see normal loader not the Skin pic, I cant find vendors and I cant use the unlock code.

This mod is super-awesome, with one caveat: the nipple on the bumpmaps seems to be inverted. Of course, since each of these skins seems to have it's own bump map, fixing it might get a little bit work-intensive.

For demonstration purposes, I've done a replacement for the basic skirtless mesh. In theory, it should work on any skin that just uses the default bumpmap.

Workflow: Extract file from .arc with ARXExplorer. Convert .tex to .psd with Skin Compiler. In photoshop, lasso the nipple, layer via copy, Transform>Flip Vertical, select nipple region and drag down a few px to match original, then merge layers and run through the PsdtoTex.bat from the Skin Compiler. Here's some action shots, using the Frog Girl skin due to the high contrast white part on the breast:

The Skirt versions are a bit more complex, and I don't really want to start changing things right and left for all of them. Most tend to be a little more complex in the breast region as well... I followed the install process-including the installation of the tqmm compatibility fix-, and it did weird things to my steam shortcuts.
I'm not sure how to explain it, but here goes: You know how when you right-click on a shortcut, it will give you a decent-sized list of options, including the ability to run as an admin, scan w/your main virus checker, open, etc. A lot of those options are gone, and under the properties/general tab of the shortcuts, it now says "Internet Shortcut (.url)" under file type, rather than Shortcut (.ink).

The first couple of times I tried to run TQIT with the modified shortcut, it didn't work, said steam could not check the application or something, then second time said could not find steam, something like that. I deleted the shortcut and had steam recreate it, same result though, it did not change. Third time I tried to run it though, it worked. The mod seems to work. I haven't tested it extensively, and haven't tried running tqmm with it yet, but it does seem functional.

What just happened, though? Somewhere along the process, things that should not have been affected were affected, and I am now wondering if my steam files are ok. Games seem to run, but those shortcuts are weird, and have reduced options. It didn't seem to do it to all of them either, just some, including TQIT. I don't like it when inexplicable things like that happen, and I'd like to make sure nothing has been too messed up by the batch files I ran during setup (I didn't run them as admin, but they seemed to execute just fine from what I could tell, and got no error messages).

As I mentioned, I am using the steam version of the game, and am on vista ultimate 64-bit.

I noticed that the tqmm-fix batch file ran for a while before finishing, don't know if that is a clue of anything. The creatures arc file was a little smaller when it was done too, went from about 56kb to 45kb, not sure if that means anything.

Should I try to revert to an earlier version of windows (I mean to one of the backups windows makes periodically) to make sure nothing got too messed up, or just try to track down what went amiss? Really confused. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

edit: I did the system restore, didn't seem to do anything that I could tell. Undid it. On the plus side, things still seem to work, just worried what else in steam may have been changed. Also noticed my listing of recently played steam apps got reset when it happened. I will see if there is some way of dealing with the shortcut weirdness, though they do work, oddly enough.
I suspect it was the tqmm fix batch file that caused the weirdness, but not sure. I'm also having trouble opening batch files in order to see if anything needs to be edited (using notepad), attempting to do so just seems to trigger them to run.

edit 2: reported shortcut issues to steam, will see what they say, but doubt they will help much.
More weirdness: tried using the batch file to change default mesh to skirtless (ran that one as admin), game kept trying to minimize itself when i ran it. Ended the process, then ran the batch file to change the default back to standard (also ran as admin). Had a weird msg in the beginning of it that said some thing like: cho is not a recognized command, but after that, seemed to work, and was able to launch again. There is too much weirdness surrounding all this though, I think maybe I should not have tried to mod the steam version of this game. Just too many issues, and been searching around the web, have not come up with much helpful info. Really don't need the aggravation of all this right now.

edit 3: TQMM really made it freak out too, when I tried it it sent my comp into a loop, kept saying archivetools stopped working, needed to be shut down, then repeated. At that point I'd had enough, did the system restore (though it does not repair the damage to my steam install), deleted TQ, IT, and all remaining files and directories of it that uninstalling left behind, and am now focused on trying to repair steam to avoid any other issues. If anyone actually read this, thanks for listening. :)
I may try again using a retail copy of TQ:Gold or something, perhaps on my older comp if I get it going again. Or, I'll just wait for Grim Dawn. ;) It did like nice work from what I saw, just wish I had avoided blundering in whatever way I did, and wish I had limited the install to just the basic fanpatch and maybe allskins without anything else. I don't know much about modding, though I did read all the directions and followed them as far as I could tell. Best to keep it simple and reduce variables I guess.

Decided to play this game with a friend of mine who just got it, and the mod works great (as always).

My only problem is the darn BMP is set for someone wearing the calf-protectors. lol
Gosh I could change the tex file myself, but dammit I don't wanna download the compiler and run the scripts and basically get way to involved again.lol
Does anyone have a naked BMP tex they can upload to me real fast? One with no clothes including sandal straps. It's such a minor detail but one that really bugs me.

hey so i just downloded the mod... ran everything as stated in he instructions (as far as i know) and ran the setup in the game correctly... but when i do the whole custom quest thing all of my female characters disappear and only their hollow armour is showing... also when i try the male skins on one of my male characters he just turns blue and yellow checkers... lol i tought it was funny... but it happens on all of the skins... what am i doing wrong

You have a corrupt Creatures.arc in IT. Try reinstalling AllSkins, that should fix it. If that doesn't help, redownload the mod. The .arc files have checksums, so if there's a wrong bit in the wrong place nothing from that arc gets loaded.

i'm sorry for posting again , but i have a problem with running the skins. i copied the all askin mods' files in to the custom map folder in TQIT location ( C> users > ((username folder)) > my document > my games > tqit > custom map) but when i run the game, there is no item added in the custom quest playing .Actually i did the installation note step by step for many times but i couldn't make it, please help ...

one thing more, i love to use the skins in normal game, please tel me how? where should i copy the skins for run in the normal game ??? thnx a lot for your information :-*

Just started playing this game again today, and installed the new version of AllSkins (Used to have 0.7), and I'm seeing a couple problems. I've followed the instructions and gotten it to work, but I've noticed a few problems: My toon just looks... bumpy (The skin's shriveled-looking, like she'd just taken a 4 hour long bath D: Bad mesh maybe?)
The second thing is that 2 of the rings just show up as "Bronze", and the other 4 work.
Third, a few of the default skins show up as the blue/yellow checkered pattern
Any info on how to fix any of these? I'd also like to know how I can add more skins to the Merchants that spawn, like you could do in 0.7

EDIT: The "Bronze" rings were my fault, read the instructions again and it was because of the skirtless mesh has only 2 rings *Facepalm*
...Also re-reading the instructions explained the couple missing textures...

Still doesn't explain the bumpy char though, is there another mesh I can use to override it? I'm using the Skirt option, thought the Skirtless shows the same bumpy mesh. :confused:

Remember to start a Custom Quest with the skirt type you want to use, and then start the normal game, hit Esc, Unlock Content, and type in 135180. This should drop the needed amulets at your toon's feet. Equipping one will spawn the merchant that'll sell you the dyes (Skins).

I uninstalled the all the allskins stuff i put in, but now my oracle looks utterly messed up. Is there some way to reset a character to the original TQIT female model?

My first guess is that you tried a different mesh... most of the meshes are made for specific skins and don't look nice with equipment... just change back to the original mesh, and then buy a regular dye from any old merchant and change yourself back to your old toon...

Second guess is you were wearing some sort of skin and when you uninstalled it went to the default blue and yellow texture it uses if things are missing... should be able to fix this by buying a regular dye as well...

You can't. If you started playing as, lets say tigerman for example, if you return to human "shape", you will always have messed up textures. That is the reason you have to start new character when you wanna play as different race with unique meshes. I think that reason for this is the mapping of textures and the way they are placed on meshes.
At least this is how I think it works, if I'm mistaken someone please correct me.

You can revert if you are still using Allskins... the SkirtMesh.bat file that is included returns your character to the standard form.

Yeah, I have to say that this mod is complicated to install, considering all of the different OS variations.

In addition, theres like what? 10-12 different skins and 4 of 3 variations that are pretty much the same?

When i looked up this mode, i thought there was tatooed skins and like cat skins and stuff that all looked really cool, but the vendors dont have it.

EDIT: Ok, so now im irritated, so imma post the issues im having.

1. If i don't have the mod installed, after having it installed, and then manually removing it, this is what my oracle looks like:

2. If i got to 'Custom Game' and click on 'Skirtless' or 'Skirt', I get the same result as above. The only 'mod' that works is the dress mod, which produces the following result:

3. My final problem is the amount of skins available from the mod vendor at Helios. When on click on her, these are all the skins she has available:

I thought there were supposed to be alot more and i've even gone to various hubs thinking there was a different vendor in each hub, but no. I mean, Im not interested in the adult mods b/s, I just want regular skins and for them to work as well.

So, where am I going wrong here?

2nd EDIT: In regards to #3, I figured out that i gotta do the unlock content thing and put in the code. Thats cool, but the amulet for "Caitlyn", who im guessing is the vendor who has all the 'other' female skins that im missing from the original vendor, seems to coming up just as a "Bronze". All the other amulet/vendors work.

Why not just have ALL the skins at the 2 vendors in Helios instead of the unlock content trick?

3rd EDIT: Think I got it. I bought the placeholder black and black dye from the regular armor vendor there in Helios and that reset the textures back to normal w/black tunic. Thats good enough for me.

Don't use all skins mod then. download directly the author's mod. I suppose the skins you're using must be Vivienne's Skin.

P.S. btw I like Vivienne's Girl Face too. :D Female TQ is too ugly.

Well, you could also use mod from my signature, it replaces all the default dye bottles with custom made ones (I'm shamelessly advertising my mod :D).

Ok - just saw this today so I'll try and respond to a few things...

Yeah, I have to say that this mod is complicated to install, considering all of the different OS variations.

It shouldn't be that complicated. There are many different instructions, but that is mainly because lufe wanted to address all possible installation scenarios, as well as address them in different languages too...

In addition, theres like what? 10-12 different skins and 4 of 3 variations that are pretty much the same?

When i looked up this mode, i thought there was tatooed skins and like cat skins and stuff that all looked really cool, but the vendors dont have it.

Oh, there is and they do... There are well over a hundred different skins, including the tattooed skins, the catskins, etc... You just need to visit the right vendor. There are variations a skin, but there are many different skins to chose from.

EDIT: Ok, so now im irritated, so imma post the issues im having.

1. If i don't have the mod installed, after having it installed, and then manually removing it, this is what my oracle looks like:

This is correct. When the mod was installed you applied the dress mesh - this changes the base files for TQ - it is the only way skins for the dress mesh will work... When you manually uninstalled, you didn't change these meshes back to their original forms. Other skins now do not look correct on the new mesh.

2. If i got to 'Custom Game' and click on 'Skirtless' or 'Skirt', I get the same result as above. The only 'mod' that works is the dress mod, which produces the following result:

Correct again. Non-dress skins will not work with the dress mesh, and vice versa... Also, if you read about the dress mesh, it was made with the knowledge that it would not look correct with many of the armors in the game. They were not made for a character wearing a dress so things look funny.

3. My final problem is the amount of skins available from the mod vendor at Helios. When on click on her, these are all the skins she has available:

Again... this is correct. The dress vendor only has a very few skins available. You need to be using one of the other meshes and visit one of the appropriate vendors in order to see all the variety of skins that exist.

So, where am I going wrong here?

2nd EDIT: In regards to #3, I figured out that i gotta do the unlock content thing and put in the code. Thats cool, but the amulet for "Caitlyn", who im guessing is the vendor who has all the 'other' female skins that im missing from the original vendor, seems to coming up just as a "Bronze". All the other amulet/vendors work.
Why not just have ALL the skins at the 2 vendors in Helios instead of the unlock content trick?

Unlock allows for adult skins. The mod was made to be safe for all users of all ages... including people who do not like / should not have nudity in their games.

3rd EDIT: Think I got it. I bought the placeholder black and black dye from the regular armor vendor there in Helios and that reset the textures back to normal w/black tunic. Thats good enough for me.

That should work although you may have problems if you have not restored the proper mesh.
One suggestion if you continue to have problems, but have the fanpatch installed... almost all the skins in the latest Allskins are present in the fanpatch. And you can call up the merchant anywhere to get new skins... maybe that's the way for you to go...

When using the dress mesh, the in-game camera seems to be centered at the player's feet, instead of head (camera is a bit lower than normally). This happens only with the dress mesh, regardless whether it's loaded as a mod (custom map), or set as the default mesh. Is it a bug, or was it meant to be like that for some reason?

This can also be seen in the character's portrait in the upper left corner, where the character's feet are visible, instead of head. That can be seen in the third picture in Veji's post on this page.

Thanks... and as for the dress mesh... I never really noticed... It certainly seems that way, although the only way I could confirm for sure where the problem lies is if someone who does not have Allskins installed, but does have the fanpatch activates one of the dress meshes there and see if they get the same results...

And I'm not even sure at the moment who is responsible for that part of the mod... I'd have to check and see sinceso few skins were ever even made for that mesh...

I think there's an attachment in the mesh that determines the camera position. Attachments default to (0, 0, 0) if they are missing.

That's probably the case. I had that problem with meshes that apparently have no handle for attacks shoot spells into the ground. They also dispaly aura effects at their "feet".

(Talking about it, would it be much to ask if one of you guys could put such a handle on two "trap" meshes for me? Would save me installing and learning XNA, meshview etc. to do just that.)

Does anybody know how I can access the skins inside the ARC? I'm looking for some of OoALEJOoO's skins and all the links in his threads are dead, and don't want the rest of the mod (nothing against it, but I prefer the "off-on" functionality of the non-mod route).

Pm sent, and I downloaded a version of it for the skirtless version, but that computer had to be wiped, and all I managed to recover was the mesh, and the bikini skin for it.

Hello, I'm new here, so please excuse me if this is a stupid question.

Would it be technically possible to take a skin and a mesh from this skin pack, copy and paste them over the 'default' skin and mesh, and play Titan Quest: IT that way? I'm only really going to use one skin in this pack, you see.

If so, would my character still be compatable with online play?

What skin? If it is a normal one, you probably wouldn't even need a mesh... as well, if you are using the fanpatch, you already have the majority of the skins included there...

As for online play, yes it would be compatible, but no one else would see it like you do.

One of the full-dress female skins, not the normal one. I see there are some tools included with the game, could I use those to extract the files (I'm assuming the mesh file and one of the texture files) and use them to replace the default files in Immortal Throne?

Yes, I assumed that no-one else would see it. That's fine with me. I don't have the fanpatch yet. Is it nessesary to play online in most games?

Hi everyone.

I managed to install the All Skins modification and everything seemed to work fine. I used the SkirtlessMesh file skins and they appeared good. The only problem occurred when I tried to switch back from skirtless to dress skins by running the DressMesh file - the dress skins don't work anymore.

Right now I'm pretty much stuck with on the skirtless skins. So did I install things wrong?

Hello, I have a problem with being unable to set default Skirtless mode for this mod.

When I first used the mod, skirtless skins worked fine, but after I tried out Skirt-type skin the game permanently set into "Skirt mode" (unless I specifically load Skirtless mod for that game session). I have tried everything: running "useSkirtlessMesh.bat", completely reinstalling the game, deleting Skirt and Dress modes - nothing helps.

Any suggestions regarding how to re-set AllSkins to Skirtless mode would be greatly appreciated.

There are cases where it does do this yes... the mod was never meant to fix these problems, just provide different base skins to liven up the vanilla characters.

That's strange... I'd have to have a look, but I thought all the batch files did was rename/replace the mesh files with the ones you needed... are all the files from the install of Allskins in the correct location?

Well, I followed the “Installation Instructions for AllSkins 0.8” (http://titanquest.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_Instructions_for_AllSkins_0.8). The mods themselves are installed in “Documents and Setting/UserName/My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest - Immortal Throne/Custom Maps”. And I copied files from “Skins” subfolder into “Titan Quest - Immortal Throne game folder/Resources”.

As I said, what seems most strange is that at first the mod worked perfectly well, and skirtless skins remained skirtless (I never even had to run “useSkirtlessMesh.bat”). It is after I tried out skirt and dress skins that something has apparently broke and the game keeps reverting to skirt skins. (As I said, even completely re-installing the game and mod doesn’t solve this.)

i seem to be having some difficulty with this mod. following the wiki's instructions to install it, it came out fine. i thought. my avatar is stuck. she wont move at all. in fact, she is frozen in a T like shape. im not sure if i missed a step or what but i was hoping someone could help me figure this out. and if there was a post about this already, i must have missed it so i apologize in advance if thats the case.
