Ok, I'll change it, but yeah, maybe this is suicidal. Anyway, it's the hardest thing to do, anyone who does this I demand they be made an administrator and be given praise. Joking maybe about the administrator bit, but still this is a hard challenge! What will be the difference between 1.0 and 1.1 when it comes out?

Currently at level 9 with Gaia, my Summoner. Regrowth and Call of The Wild are owning all, plus using a fire staff with Earth Enchantment owns all with extra fire damage. :D I love playing with this character, and I have decided that if and when I die, I'll carry on playing on Uber with her. The good thing about Uber is the high xp gain due to monsters increased spawning, and if there's double or nothing included, I don't notice it much, except the quests, but maybe that's cause of the wolves, I get less xp. To prove the high xp gain, I may be level 9, but I'm only just at the guy next to the bridge near Sparta telling you that your nearly there. I've been in a few hard fights, almost died atleast once, those Pandarus in the necklace quest cave are hard when there's 6 of them, (thanks to wolves, they died quite easily.:D)

Keep going people! Remember, this is an extremely hard challenge, but it may just be possible! Anyone is welcome to join, remember.

That's very true. I gave up on one 0 death uber character, because it's not fun trying to lure monsters to you one by one. He would've been destroyed by a group of mosnters. I continued it with xmax...and went on dying almost immediately :lol:

Might that be the seer going diviner in the Uberchallenge thread. :) But I think familiarity with the game is quite important, especially knowing the areas to grind for your level.

Siegefried, your propably right, success in uber requires being the right level at the right time. Grinding and farming may also become extremely important

Currently at level 10, just reached Sparta, about to take on Nessus. Those monstrous boars were very tough, but so were the Satyr Brutes, (the big fat muscly ones.) So who knows how Nessus x6 will be? I reckon if I'm level 11 when I take him on, then wolves and regrowth should sort him out, (that's what I did for the shamans in Helos.)

Yeah, that was pretty stupid. And you do have to be careful out there on Uber and xmax. Although I've not tried xmax no deaths properly, I reckon it'll be hard, but alot lot easier than this Uber Challenge. Also, please insert your level so I know.

Yeah, you have to be careful. That's what happens to me on xmax 0 deaths. It's quite embarassingly annoying. But on Uber, I went Nature and was going to do Defence, but then Earth. I forgot my fondness for Earth, I've only used it low levels, but Nature and Earth own all! Apparently, noone has ever even done Normal Uber 0 deaths. That may soon change. Good luck.

Hm, Nature... That just might work for starters - huge bonus in HP and the crowd killer Plague. The only thing bugging me (and the game hehe) is that you don't get XP for plague kills. I think I've read that one somewhere here on the forum.

Yeah. I wouldn't know, I don't really like Plague. I'm sure it's propably great, but I've never really used it and it doesn't sound brilliant. Same with Briar Ward. Regrowth, Heart Of Oak and Call of The Wild, and maybe Nymph are awesome. I don't think you get as much xp from wolves and pets killing them as well, but then again I'd be long gone without my wolves. I noticed that you started, then 1 hour later and your dead. Never mind, it is hard.

When you start again, tell me your class and level so I can put it up on the leaderboard. I wonder how Sponozza's doing, not heard from him all day.

Also, I'll tell yerkyerk about that, he'll fix it in the 1.17, hopefully.

Ok, after some initial difficulties, I said to myself, go***mnit, let this challenge go f itself.

Well, then I decided to do something crazy. I'd go for melee Diviner. Yes, seems like a bats*it idea, but hey, I'm alive and kicking at level 11.

I've just killed Nessus(es).

Just as with my Harbinger, I'm mainly relying on Distortion Wave and running around like a chicken. Not very brave, but so far effective. Deathchill aura helps A LOT, slowing all the monsters down.

Deathchill aura draws unnecessary aggro. What you really want with DW spamming is ToC. ToC is just invaluable for Uber imo. I wouldn't branch into the spirit tree that early.

Currently level 11, just killed Nessus x6. He was hard, the only way I did it was wolves holding the line and regrowthing myself and them and me killing one at a time. It was scary when a lvl 15 one came at me and started killing me, thankyou potions! :clap: i just noticed me and kenpa007 are at exactly the same point, both level 11, both just killed Nessus! Things I hate and are hard so far:

Nessus (I think anyone at level 11 killing 6 nessus is going to agree.)
Monstrous Boar and Calydonian Boar (Definitely, same reason as Nessus, except there's only 1 or 2.)
Pandarus (The necklace quest demon, sort of hard)
Satyr Brute (sort of, but not really)

Nessus is fine, as long as you don't agrro more than 2 at a time. I managed to tank 2 of them at the same time somehow. Well, I did guzzle down health potions like a true Bavarian drinks his beer, but I survived, aye?

Oh, and those boars... Let's just say that that Calydonian Boar hit me once or twice... FOR A 2/3 OF MY HP per hit! Crazy. Ran around like hell :D A funny encounter.

Not there yet. Somehow the Spirit aura seems helpful, since the DW manages the killing. I will respec though asap (Delphi). It's only a matter of patience. The mobs don't bother me much, even if I aggro tons of them. The real key to success is careful aggroing of the bosses. I like the -22% to requirements. Now I'm wearing 3 pieces of Labyrinthine set thanks to that. We will see what happens today.

yeah, i know, those things are tough. As are monstrous boars. I don't remember Monstrous or Calydonian in normAal or xmax, are they Uber-made creatures, or is it cause Uber increases the chance greatly? But 2/3 sounds more than what i get, maybe its just me.

Nice one, you are now the Boar hunter. :D I haven't done much, if any twinking yet, but I think level 12 is a good twinking step. If I can get 2 more Prometheus Flame and a Scroll of the Breaking Wheel, I'll get a nice artifact called Molten Orb. Good for fire damage. :D Also, I found a Theban Helm, but I need more str, plus, would a summoner use that? Meh, who cares. It's very good, but I need more strength. Currently using a nice epic bow called chillwind, gives me 47dps ish. But cause its cold damage, it will propably be useless with more fire damage. :cry:

P.S. kenpa007, I wont ridicule your xmax failure. It is hard.

I'm 12 at Tegea, cleared the spider cave, +75HP quest.

Right now, I'm wielding Fell Blade for a nice 142dmg per hit, 141% attack speed.


But 2/3 sounds more than what i get, maybe its just me.

Well, you know... All heroic tales have to be exaggerated, at least for a bit! :D

Nice damage. That gives you 200.22 dps. Nice for only level 12. Mine's only 47 or 37, depending on weapon. Bow 47, Spear and shield 37. i reckon that if on normal I get 200-300dps at lvl 40ish, at Typhon, then Uber will be around 500dps at lvl 50ish at Typhon. Although I reckon that Typhon, Hades, Dactyls, Telkines and Minotaurs will be impossible!

Should I go to melee when Iget good enough, around level 20-30 maybe?

The problem is, I'm scared to even try to confront Cyclopses. I'm still missing something. I got good stun resistance but I think I'll need more % movement. Will take my older toons shopping to Normal Hades if I can find some decent equipment.

Hy all ... I played Uber Mod for 2-3 weeks .. and I like it .... so I decided to start over and trying this Challange of 0 Deaths ....

I don't know if I will do it .. but I will try ...

I have finished TQIM on Legendary with 0 deats .... and xMax Mod too .... also with 0 deaths ....

I startea a brand new hero ... no twinkeds .... so far I'm lvl 10 (almoust lvl 11) I manage to kill all the 6 Nessuxes so far 0 deaths ... I will post some screens too ...

I'm building a Hunter (100% Bow) ..later on I will add Warfare ... so I can build a Slayer :D

Yes, I've faced Gorgons now... To a dead-end. But not in terms that i died... I just aggroed 1 of the healer gorgons, started mauling her, but 3 others crept in in the back and healed the hell out of her... And I've drank zillion potions too, so they didn't even low-HP bell me.

So after 15 minutes of stalemate I have no idea what to do... Do they have any special weaknesses?

Hmm, all I can say is that that sounds like a dull fight. A bit like the first time I killed Typhon, I had no clue what to do, so I just hit him, then ran rings on him, then hit again, and repeat. After about 1 hour (seriously,) I killed him. I guess maybe try to kill them faster than they heal? Sorry for possible unhelpfulness.

Alhtough I'm not too happy with the attack speed. Only 109%. With the monsters having such high DA makes me pissed off sometimes, because my melee attacks miss quite a lot.

Good idea, I like shield skills too. The only point of Defence for DW Conquerors is for the armour handling and crushing blow. Imo, if your not using a shield, dont use Defence.

I didn't twincked anything ... since I instaled UBER MOD I can stack up to 200 potions in one square ... and besides I made 2 times a clean swap around the village and the farm and sell EVERYTING !!! (all whites and sometimes those with gray . hold Z to see them ) that way I manage to earn some money and increase my exp bar a little bit .... so I buy from shop some item to gear me up then started to go at quests :D I started with nothing (only the the bow they give it to at the start or the game)

If you made some calcules I have there 100+ potions that means 110 x 120 coins/potion = 13200 gold ....but I have manage to earn almost 40k gold with 2-3 clean runs :D

So there is no twinckes .

Now I have clean up twice the area outside the village and the first cave(with the first optional quest) and I have 70k gold and lvl 7 :D

I will resume my game and clean the area one more time . I hope I will get 100k gold and reach lvl 8 :)

right now My Defender have lvl 7 :D and is happy to wield the Captain's Shield from the second picture posted above . Also he hav 0 deaths so far :) I hope I will manage to pass the Cyclopes with him :)

I'm cleaning the areas more than once because I wand to reach Cyclopes at lvl 15+ .

1. I dont know. To be safe, I'd say you both have Uber. For future reference, online is fine, as long as you both have Uber, both dont cheat, (no ChrisRelics etc, no bugged items, everything must be real and proper.)

Actually, the best place to farm for cash at the start imo is the first cave outside Helos. Picking up the greys take too much time, might as well farm the yellow bows and shields from the quest monsters. Double affixes = a few thousand gold, much better than many rounds of back and forth trip between Helos selling grey stuff.

Well My character UberNuwine died at level 6 in front of the caves. All those trappers. My buddies char died at level 2 and he continued on till i died. Either way were both dead. Might try again but am enjoying uber we may just keep going without the challenge.

@siegefried2 yes you are right the best place to farm at the start is the first cave , but I farmed a little bit at those white items too just to make enough money to but some potions and some decent equipment .


@Nuwine You could make the cave if you are at least lvl 5 or 6 without problems . all you need is the skill . use a bow to hit those trapers from far away but don't get too close because they will enter the cave and you won't be able to beat them there . just use a normal bow to shot in one of them and they will come to you . this way you can "lure" 2-3 trapers from that crowd and finish them off . is not so hard . and you this tactic all the time where the monsters are thougher than you . get them one by one if necesary .I know is a slowly and boring way , but is afficient if you want to pass there withouth diyng :D

Started another character and this time started as spirit, name is UberWineo. Level 7 sitting in helos still. Been clearin the satyrs north to gain levels before advancing this time.

infinity is right, there is no reason to die to the satyrs. =) One thing we might forget is the basics of not letting ourselves get surrounded and biting off more than we can chew. The game was never this hard on vanilla, so it is quite easy to be caught unawares. The best tip I can really recall is to use poison or dot weapons. They might not be of as much use normally, but it does kind of help in Uber. A tainted staff can easily be picked up from the Shaman, or just purchase a tainted bow from Helos.

On my attempts with not dying on Uber, my levelling run usually goes like

Level 5 - 1 complete run through Helos, including teleporting and selling stuff to buy potions

Run the shamans a few more times and hope to get some nice equips - and when leveling takes a long time (Level 8 or so - 1 way to make up for this if you are lower leveled is the villager being mobbed quest, an area attack like Distortion Wave clears those out pretty fast, and fewer of them will aggro you at first; do not complete the quest so that you can restart from the rebirth fountain and clear them again)

Farm the Helos cave mainly for gold, no target level

Never attack boars when I see boar champions, and run the heck when encountering them. Yes, it is possible to kill them through spamming spells, but no reason to take the risk when the exp vs time/resources (potions) spent is not worth it.

Go straight to farming Nessus - I end up around Level 12-14. Nessus is pretty easy to lure 1v1, particularly since the 2/3 on the outer edge do not blow the horn for some reason when you are in aggro range. I suggest farming Nessus until you can comfortably take them down 1v1 (you can get as many potions from the run as you are using). An alternative to farming Nessus is the satyr camp south of the rebirth fountain before the bridge to Sparta. I like it for some reasons - proximity to rebirth fountain, chances of a shrine, won't meet the boar champions)

Farm the heck out of the Tegean spiders for the loot, though they can be really dangerous. Still, after the first two runs, you should have enough poison resist from the loot they drop to make it less painful.

I run straight to Megara, since when using a bow, I hardly hurt the turtles. In fact, the whole idea of my levelling run is based on risk vs reward. I never skip bosses though.

The sword wielding Prince in the crypt can hurt if you aren't prepared. It's not as easy to lure them for 1v1s compared to the other two princes. Prepare to run the moment you aggro them, since there's a chance some may not follow. Fighting all 6 is frigging tough. And the cyclops - use the scrolls you can finally buy in Megara, and of course the standard kiting near the bridge scenario. You don't want to end up fighting more than 3 (if that much), since any more than that has a chance of catching you randomly with their ability spamming. The moment you get stunned, it's pretty much over. Obviously, I don't farm the cyclops =) I can't remember my level here, but it should be around 16-17.

Pretty smooth run till the Gorgons from there on, where it can potentially become a nightmare, due to Eurayle massive heal spam. As mentioned in my other post, Poinas has a tip for drawing them one by one. Basically it involves going round to the right side of the cave, and the angle you want to approach from is the eastern-most south east of the closest Eurayle. Approach slowly till you aggro one only. Doing this can allow you to engage and destroy them one by one. If you are lucky enough to have found items that makes you pretty strong, it's a good idea to farm 18 gorgon sisters for the chances of SBC. The real nasty act that is called Alastor is coming up after all...

From here on, and probably slightly before, is pretty much the same for all the classes I have tried. Here on out though, depends on the luck for loot and the class I am playing. Minimum I have is Shroud of the Eternal Night (Venom sac from Tegean spiders, formula from Nessus/Arachne runs, achilles drops when it does :P, and it drops often enough for me, bat fang from parnassus caves/en-route to Gorgons). Preference for weapon affix/relic = strong damage over time, + resists and health for armour is quite important as well.

Still, even after typing all that nonsense, it might be more fun to go through twinked (even slightly), or not caring for hardcore play at all. God knows how much time this game has taken from me, and from a more realistic point of view, managing aggro etc. is an unnecessary stress sometimes when I just want to hack n slash. To enjoy Uber, one could just twink whenever the toon meets a challenge that all your ideas / current equip are just unable to pull it off.

Heh, it was easier than I thought to lure them one-by-one... I just had to hide behind one of the pillars and wait for them to come after me. Was quite funny, because i killed them all with a bow from point-blank. Since bows ignore OA/DA, I at least got every shot (+Deathchill aura helped out).

Sooo, Gorgons defeated, didn't get any Stonebinders, not that it matters, just for info. Am now @ Athens @ lvl22.

Lucky you. I'm in a state of annoyance. I killed Nessus, great. so i go back to Sparta, and then I come back today, and I have to kill Nessus again, grumble, so I kill about 3 of them, and then I die from them aggroing me, so now my hope is over! I'm going to carry on, but I'm fed up by it. Just to be more annoyed, I have to start killing all 6 of them again, and I was about 2/3 the way to being lvl 12. :mad:

I will try my Battlemage maybe now. :neutral: Are Battlemages good, they sound good, but are they actually any good? Also, if I was doing no potions, then it'd take forever to heal, 5 mins at start, but about 1 hour at lvl 50ish. DULL!

So, i create this girl "Chosen One", she is Rogue lvl 10 (maybe a brigand wanabe); playing untwinking - with potions - she got´s a nice "outrider´s tunic" with +10% moviment from Nessus´s and a "Draining straigh bow of the hunt" from the cave, with +15% moviment; she´s is pretty good at running like chicken... and still alive. Tomorrow nite ill play more with her.

Orb bosses have a boost in Uber, making them tougher than usual. It's in the Uber mod thread itself, and you will realize it when you finally face the Telkine. Alastor is tough because there are all those frigging summons, and he drains your energy of all things. The moment you stop running a huge chunk of your hp is gone, and it's time to prepare to die. =P

Well, Distortion Wave was my same solution. But just try it with other classes, and the overpoweredness of Distortion Wave should sink in... :headbang:

the battle took about 30-40 mins :| all I did was runing and recharging health and jump into them using Battle Standard , Colosus Form , War Wind , Rally and Shield Charge :) preaty though ... but manage to kill those bastards :D anyway they don't drop anything besides yellows :|

I'm not agree with you at this point .... by starting a new character or take the backup saves of your currently character is almost the same thing .
Is not about start again or backup your currently character . all is about trying to pass the challenge .

yeah is was prety tough. I could survive between those Alastors as long as I had active Closus/Battle Standard and Rally , otherwise my health does down like a whale in the sky :)

I'm not agree with you at this point .... by starting a new character or take the backup saves of your currently character is almost the same thing .
Is not about start again or backup your currently character . all is about trying to pass the challenge .

Is like this :
I put all my character save files in one arhive right before I go to battle a boss or something that is strong .
If I die there I exit the game and unpack the arhive and I copy back my old character save files and enter again in TQIM and try again to beat the bosses of something else. I won't continuing my game until I beat them. Maybe I will try and set up another skills that can help me better in the fight (taking skill point from War Wind and add it to the War Horn or something different).

Oh, and one more thing! The thing started LAGGING like hell! I suppose it was due to all the "invisible" corpses of the Limos Telkines summon... Man, I thought I'd lose just because of that. Luckily the chamber is rather big so I moved towards the back and could fight normally.

One more thing... The drop from the orbs? Sucks :D Ok, except the Helm (on the screencap).

infinity, unlucky about the helmet, those stately great helms are awesome. But I'm not fully sure about the understanding of it, but I think backing up and quitting to avoid death is cheating. Technically, I could have pressed escape to avoid death. But I thought that'd be cheating. I only do that when doing the first quest when the creeps aggro me when they're not meant to.

@bonobo4 I'm from Europe - Romania and I'm 22 years old.

@siegefried2 There is till a point in playing because if you go to some bosses and you get killed you can restore your character's save files and instead of going to the boss again you go and make some farm to get another lvl or 2 depends on your patience and then try again .
Cheat is if you get some strong item from another character or use a trainer or something similar. Back-up saves are like normal saves from other games . if oyu get killed or something else you hit Esc then Load Game and you continue from where you want to . that is no cheat !!! and beside you can have hundreds of back-ups , if can't manage to pass those bosses withouth diying the you have no skill , no matter that is your n-th time you are trying , what is important is for you to learn and become more skilled and be able to pass the challange .

now I'm lvl 27 Conqueror , I beat the Telkins , hard and slowly but I manage to beat them using combo of Battle Standard + Rally + Collosus Form + Shield Charge. It took me like 50 mins - almost one hour :)
they droped some green goodies but I but from shop better ones :D .
I also get from their orbs this Item :)

I've never seen Toxeus. Where is he and whats he like? Apparently he's very worringly good, so yeah, maybe you can do that. But doesnt he only appear on Epic and Legendary? Which no offence but i dont think you'll get up to there?

He's this big badass red skeleton which appears in Secret Passage in all three difficulties.

He has this nasty Damage Reflection (something like 80%), so basically when attacking him, you are commiting suicide. Not to mention that he's a Harbinger (or Dreamkiller - he has poison on his weapons) and likes to smack Distortion Wave/Rift around and he has something like 200% attack speed and 160% Movement, soooo.... Nope, you can't escape :D

As for me getting through to Epic? Eh, I don't believe either. I just might survive Egypt but very unlikely - Somehow i think I won't manage to kill the Nehebkhau's (The scorpion kings guarding Eye of Chaos) due to small confined space. + They summon 3 scorpions each and have this uber deadly poison sting. We'll see...

@kenpa007 same as me lol :) I'm with ~10 level highter than mobs and I jump into them with my shield and ownage them :D . The only problem are the Bosses and the Champions , they know how to give you a hit :)

The first quest "Horse in field" is easy if you don't talk to the NPC. Nothing attacks you. So you will be able to kill a few before you die :P

in the first quest just go and hit only those who HIT THE HORSE !!!! they won't fight back the the others that are runing nearby won't see you anyway so it will be easy as taking candy from a kid. You can finish the first quest without taking ONE HIT !!!

Hmm, infinity, thats not true. But I've not tried Nuwine's idea. That would actually kind of make sense. When you talk to Diomedes in Helos, the satyrs charge at you and the Helos Guards charge at them, like a trigger. So maybe that applies with Timaeus' Horse?

Ok, I tried a Defender going Conqueror, not clicking the NPC works, but whenyou do, it activates the quest, then a satyr appears out of nowhere attacking the horse. But i do the 1st quest without trouble. But am I really bad today or something? Cause I've tried 4 people, and they've all died in Helos less than level 4.

I think I may just give up and observe your characters progress.

take a bow a weak one it doesn't matter , hit from far away one mob and he will charge at you , when he is near you you change to melee and kick his *** , do this all the time and take those mobs one-by-one until you make lvl 6-7-8 , then you can easely farm near the village and sell those white items and buy yourself some decent equipment from the shop then at lvl 6 or 7 you can try the first cave with the first secondary quest.
If you do well in the first time using the same methode with the bow by take them one-by-one just farm 2-3 times that cave then you can move one .

You need some patience dude :) and skills :P


Board update :

Just manage to beat the crap out of those Statues , Mage Skells(Staff in the Piramid) and manage to kill the Scorpions too :) beat them like these : 1 then I manage to take on me 2 then the rest on them 3 all in one shot with all I've got :D . I must admit I got luky because one of the scorpions was right at the gate so I could kick his but without involving the others , then with a bow I manage to take out another 2 then use Banner , Rally , Summons , Colossus and Shield Charge and took out the other 3 :) but it was hard :| I hear the gong of my health 5 times :) so I had to run away a little bit and come back for round two but I manage to kill them and take the eye :D

I found at the shops some rings and an amulet that gives me +% strenght and +% health (not much but these are better than my old ones :D and I put some relics into them too ...)

Now I'm lvl 38 Conqueror on my way to the Valey of Kings to face the second Telkine :D

EDIT : I haven't finished the Act 2 and I'm already lvl 40 .... LOL ... until I finish the game(if I will be able) I will have somewere around level 50 or so. At this rate I will reach the max level before I enter in Legendary difficulty :)):))

I don't do excess farming . Is just I have to leave in the midle of the map far away from the next fountain so when I resume my game I had to come along all the way again and also some times I do some areas again in the some of geting something nice from mobs of just to get some yellows to make some gold :) curently I have almost 5 mil. :)

and I also manage to get all the ingredients for the Soul Shiver Artefact :) . I have like a full inventory of Arcane Formulas but I preffer Soul Shiver for it's life steal , it realy helps a lot :D



EDIT : And I'm level 38 NOT 40 !!!! I said that if I could finish the act 2 I will have around level 40 ..... curently I have level 38 :)

Edit: I also thought of another challenge for the UBER mod: Live off the Land. You are not allowed to buy anything at any shopkeeper and instead must rely on what you kill or find in the wild to get by. Enchanter would be allowed for relics and artifact making, but that's it.

UPDATE !!!!

I'm lvl 39 (one more small bar until level 40) COnqueror and I just beat the Second Telkine and now I'm in Act 3 in the Babilonian Gardens :D

The Telkins didn't drop any nice items and I wanted to make another run into them but they are hard to beat .... :| they are six of them and when all of them summons their clones I got a screen full of Telkins but that's not the problem...the problem that pissed me off is this :

I just target one of them and wanna hit him until he die then move to another one ...good but those bastards teleport away...and when they do I got lost the sigth of my target and I must start hit another one and so on... quite anoying :) but I manage to beat them up

I used :
7 x Standard Banner
Lost my count of Rally and Shield Charge use :)
2 x Colossus Forms
2 x Summon Ancestral Spirits


I went to them with :
1 stack full of potions that means 200 Health and 200 Energy potions
and I got out with 43 Health potions and 109 Energy potions :)


Now I'm getting close the the top of the Babilonian Garden where I must face the Chimeras :) ...wish me luck :D and I can't wait to get to the Tigermen :D maybe they will drop off a nice Saberthoot :D I love those swords :D and I realy wanna do a rampage into an army of Terra Cota Soldiers :D

Crap, I was wrong... I found Myrmidon's Chitin of Survival, but it's not what i thought it would be (-xx% damage from Insectoids)... These Formicids (the ants) drop this Myrmidon stuff. And Soldier's Unyielding Will.

Scratch that.

I beefed up my Health Regeneration to a nice 82.something. Wicked. And I used that Soldier's Will to boost my DA, along with a nice Shade of Hector (additional DA).

So in the end it turned out I could easily tank one-by-one of those Nehebkhau's. My fears of not being able to kite them that way were nullified instantly. It seems that they do have a certain aggro area, which is smaller than the arena itself. So I had no problems killing them. I even didn't try to evade their attacks or anything...

UPDATE : those Tigermen rocks dude !!! I can hold off to them as long as there are no Flags from their Pack leaders :) I need a better gear too :| and they just don't wanna offer me a Saberthoot :D ... maybe if I can encounter some Tigermen Bosses and I have the luck to get a swords from them ... so far nothing ... :| I'm level 41 Conqueror ...and I'm thinking to make a few runs at Act 2 Telkins when I reach level 45 maybe I get something sweet...

Yeah, I'm pretty as much "racing" through the game as I can... Most of the time I just skip optional tombs and caves and slice through the main path. That's probably why I'm "low" level.

OK, the 2nd telkine down. He sucks anyway... I think anyone could beat him even x12 with only Hero of Helos, the only thing needed is patience, and a good computer since they replicate and spam those pesky hyenas. The game starts lagging because of the "invisible" corpses.

Also, the Wraith King was easy enough because I could lure them two-by-two outside the chamber. ToC is really good in combination with couple of Winy Growths and Ankh of Isis. I can pretty much tank a lot of damage thanks to Health Regen.

Ok, I've started again. My Dionysius, level 5 wanderer (guardian to be) has just done helos and killed the shaman. He's going strong. Cant wait till lvls 8 (get defence), 12 (I think you get some good stuff at this level), 15 and 18 (I found some good stuff for these levels.)

I was quite lucky finding a Horns Of Cyprus Epic Bow (http://www.gamebanshee.com/cgi-bin/search/banshee_search.pl?_layout=TitanQuest_Items_Page&_cgifunction=search&TitanQuest_Items.id=1439) on my Shaman run, but it needs more dex and lvl 14!

I've tryed the Terra Cota Quest but I can't make it :| they are weak as hell but the problem is there are LOTS of them and my PC lags :(

Im lvl 7 already :) I dont have much time to play last days, hopefully tomorrow I will. And its going very slowly, Im usually a slow player, but 3 hours (not real gameplay time) already and I havent killed the trappers still. Crows and pigs give me troubles, because treyre fast, not to mention I lose a lot of money when fighting them.

Yeah, the crows and boars are ones to watch out for. It does take awhile on Uber, but just keep going, thats all I can say. Satyrs should be alright, except trappers and whole heaps of them, (e.g. where there's a sort of encampment.)

Change of plan. My Wanderer is now a Ranger, not a Guardian. I want to use Bows more, as I've never really used them. Ok, do you like my Ranger guy with his spear? I like it, it gives me 67dps, and his main weopen is a Telliam's Will bow, giving 47dps! Not bad for a lvl 9. I get the feeling Ranger can actually be awesome.

With my ranger, I'm putting all points from quests and levels into 50:50 Str/Dex. Is that correct and wise?

I'd suggest to put the quests points into Health.

Otherwise, you'll get a formidable bonus of Dexterity from masteries, but you'll lack some Strength, because Nature gives none.

I suggest 3:1 in favor of Strength : Dexterity leveling.

I still hate Monstrous Boars, I nearly died so many times doing the run from the bridge guy fountain to Sparta. there were around 10-15 Satyr Brutes, (big muscly ones with Club/Sword/Axe and Shield,) which was quite tough, and around 10 Monstrous Boars. Monstrous Boars make Satyrs look easy, I would have died if it weren't for my wolves being AIAC. (see post 155 for definition of AIAC.)

Well My latest Theurgist: Uberwineo is RIP in the cave much like my last character, However it was on my 3rd farming run of the cave died at level 8.

Not true, because you benefit more from Strength than from Dexterity in terms of overall Damage.

I'm trying to get an Evoker going. I'm on version IV of her, but I won't post one until I get to level 8 so I don't get ahead of myself. If you pick Dream as your first class, put a couple of points into Distortion Wave even if it's not going to be a part of your end build. The slow down helps crowd control immensely, and really helps with taking monsters down while you're struggling to run away from them.

Basically took quite a few hours of leveling to get here, and im so excited to be beyond those **** caves. Just killed Nessus

Not a whole lot of twinking so far except money to buy potions, most the gear i have waiting is epic lvls so ill see those around act 3 when I gain some levels.

Basically all points in mastery till 24, 1 in DW, lucid dream, trance of conv, rest in PI, then 10 stats to dex rest int so far. Doing very well crowds die fast and exp bar rises. Though the first 9 or 10 levels were dreadful...... Everything died slow.

Actually I value Telliam's Will less than nice armour, especially with +DA. Telliam's Will seems to drop often on Ubermod anyway. The damage increase is not noticeable after awhile.

TIPS for those who will reach Typhon in UBER : every time you kill one of them the Zeus spoke will apear on the screen and the portal will be active , why the zeus still spoke run in circle because I coulnd't fight them while the writings were on the screen(I couldn't see when they call down the meteors - they kill you instant) .

I will try again to kill the Typons and post some screen after I beat them all.

Also there is a quest in act 3 : The Tree Sisters - I couln't finish it :| when I fount the last girl that is kept in a Tigermen camp , I killed all the tigermen but the girl still don't wanna talk with me :| (I've done this twice and still no effect and I'm not going there again because last time I almost got killed :D ). Has anyone an ideea how to finish the quest ?

Use the defiler to disable Zeus' speech. Disable the mod for the 3 sisters, it can't be completed with it on, I have the same problem.

well ive easily made 10 chars and died around lvl 8 on just about all the rest of them but this 1, the 0 death is very tough obviously. Probably not a bad idea but i dont think id go over 10 deaths personally and even that would be so much easier accomplished that it may be too much. 100 deaths is way to achieveable imo.

Let's just say that even the silliest mini-monster in Uber is as strong as Hero monsters in ordinary TQ:IT.

Then of course the next thing to watch four is the herds of boars directly after the cave, then a little bit later monster boars.

If you have a range attack and enough space to kite (and patience, and fighting only 1 at a time) the slow attack of the pigs makes it very easy to kill them without getting hurt at all. Come to think of it its not that easy after all :knockout:

May I suggest leveling up first? I don't plan to face him until I am level 18 at least though.

Get scrolls against the Cyclops (just to hasten the process) and kite them against the bridge. Try not to engage more than 3 at a time, because one error then = death. Dream is not really essential, but just much easier. My evoker was an epic fail on Ubermod, simply didn't have the tanking power in Act III/IV before the AOE could finish the mobs.

@ seigfred - im using an ele at another challenge, whose play stlye is a lot similar to an evokers. you really don't need to tank thats y ur golem is there for u to do so. either send your pet to agro then nuke them or if your a lil bit daring... pre-nuke at ur location and agro them by attacking them with ur staff then cast stoneform.

I'm not saying that its a breeze, but it shouldnt be very hard unless if your in epic act 4 - beyond, cuz machaes and the range ppolz will shred you fast without proper tactics and patient kiting.

Why not? Cause that could be a bit of a problem. Especially for me, I like Nature and summons, with Uber, i find it extremely hard without summons. I use wolves on aggressive, they're awesome! Don't insult wolves!

I knew the first part would be slow going so i just went as offensive as i possibly could without getting my *** handed to me. Smashes things at the moment.

Luckily ive managed to form Prometheus' flame relic (1-4 fire dmg completion) and a Golden Fleece (-8% Regen) [very lucky on the fleece]

I haven't given up on an Elementalist for this challenge. I have a Guardian at level 13, but its a pretty slow pace. He's tough, sir, but kills so slow. He won't be that efficient until I can get more shield-passives.

So I started an elementalist again, Cuttle, level 13 at the moment.

Basically, he uses Stone Form offensively. Cast erruption, run up and stone form on top of it, then Volcanic Orb at my feet when it ends if any are still alive. Cleans out most camps quick. He's almost to Megura, but I'm out of town on business this week so I will be unable to level him further.

I had to farm a few levels on him, since stone form/eruption are so crucial to my playstyle. I'll build up towards Squall after I get a few more points into Earth Enchanment / Fragmentation / Eruption.

Anyways, playing with a friend in hamachi. He's currently pyromancer and will most likely get nature to help us. Played 4~ hours two days ago and 5~ hours just yesterday, reached Rhakotis in 9 hours. On 3x we usually were in act 3 Ghang'an in 9 hours. >.<

I can answer that - well, for myself at least:

I usually get suddenly bored in the game. It's just this sudden boredom, don't know why. And so lots of the times I get bored, it's somewhere near the next fountain, therefore I quit before it's activated, so generally I have to repeat a whole area again at the next play. Since Uber spawns as much as xmax monsters, the XP just rakes in like crazy. But I'd say that that can come up in as much as 3 levels of difference, no more...

Oh and yeah, I'm slightly bored of Uber overall, so it's on hold. I'm doing xmax again because it's so much smoother flowing. Plus, you can afford a mistake or two there.

I reload the game alot just to clear mobs for exp, especially early levels if a boss is coming up. Most of the time when I reach tegea fountain I reload on average 10 times and just kill the mobs next to town. This can be good for 2-4 levels depending on how early you get there. My goal is to be roughly 18 when I kill cyclops, and it only takes an hour or so or reloading to get from 14-18 so in retrospect I say why are you so low level? Too risky......

I'm joining this challenge, after finishing Normal with my Oracle in Xmax with 0 death's.

I'm going to try a Summoner (Melina), i hope wolves and Core Dweller will keep most part of the monsters from me... And the extra HP and Stone Form also help to survive!

Currently i've just disposed of the satyr brutes, and reached lvl 8. Was hard at the beggining, but now with the 2 wolves and a nice bow i'm blazing through everything! :)
I'm going to do this with light twinking, with the artifacts, it's too boring to collect the charms and relics...

Im just finding it very easy at the moment and survivability doesnt seem to be an issue, im sure I'll hit a wall shortly lol

Just defeated the gorgons quite easily and currently running them for some stonebinders [lvl 20]

Warlock is spirit / rogue yeah.

Ternion as we all know - is a monster, but on the warlock it has very defensive applications also, as envenom weapon works with it so you'd have ternion blasting everything with 39% slowed for 5 seconds, 50% chance to fumble and 40% chance of confusion (even higher with +skills). Not to mention deathchill, lich king, vision of death, traps and whatnot.

I think you'd have a very defensive character, my only qualms with it would be boss battles. Though im sure i'd manage to find a way with traps, lich and outsider.

Think it'd be pretty solid... although its most definitely possible that i could be very very wrong lol :lol:

I registered for the forums just for this challenge. I'm relatively new to Titan Quest, but not to this genre, so hopefully I won't fail miserably! :D I installed the UBER mod today, and so far I have a level 6 untwinked hunter, Shane Thanos. I'm planning on making him a haruspex when I hit level 8.

I'm really enjoying the difficulty, there's not much room for mistakes. I won't be backing up my character's save file either. In my opinion, that takes away from the difficulty and excitement of the challenge.

Updating my progress...

I've just killed the 6 Nessus, I went slowly and aggroed 2 at a time, and with my wolves at lvl 11, it wasn't too hard...
Almost died before, when a Centaur trapped me with a net, and suddenly got swarmed by a lot of them... my HP dropped to about 100 points!

I'm lucky to have found a Glowing Rod before Sparta, my DPS is currently at 81, not bad at all...
My Summoner is lvl 11 and keeps going stronger! :)
