So ya, where is it?? :silenced:
You have to first defeat Baal in the difficulty where you want to visit cow level. Then go to Tristram in Act 1 and click on the Wirt's body. Take his leg and cube it with tome of town portal. You must be in the Rogue Camp. The red portal to MooMoo farm will appear. You can't make a red portal again in the difficulty where you have killed cow king before.
Ehhm... wrong forum?

@Hrus... I think he ment that as TQ is quite a clone of D2 there should be a cow lvl somewhere ;-)
Well if there is one I have not been so lucky as to find it. If there is none... well... *wink to modders corner* :D

Im not complaining, IL took inspiration from the best action RPG out there, not a bad idea.

I love the game, really I do.
But
Theres a difference between inspiration and down right copying.

Using D2's town portal as the icon for the portal stone is priceless.

Diablo 2 didnt invent the portal.

I didn't say that, I said they used the graphic of D2 portal as their icon. As in extraced the image from D2 and imported it straight into the game. Hell, it's shrunk down so far someone could have just taken a screenshot and cropped it.

Good catch. I still chuckle when I look at the IL logo with its oddly familiar blue shading.

Yup, that one caught my eye too.
I don't think Blizzard is going to have a fit over any of this. Imitation/flattery, nevermind they're rolling in it just now. I doubt it'll upset them at all.

Exactly. The "inspiration" for the game is classic mythology, nothing to do with D2.
It's just the game mechanics that are downright copied. In almost every significant way.
But like I said elsewhere, I loved D2 and I don't work for Blizz. So I don't care, I love this game.

I want one. Cow was the best level in any game, ever. I didn't stop laughing from start to finish. The constant refrain of "Moo!" (in a really sensible voice, like the cows were really taking their work seriously) had me in bits, even more so when you hit one and the tone went up like "MooOOOooo!" (ok that doesn't translate very well in text, you had to be there).
Actually, there are other better levels in other games (Cathedral in Thief and Mental Assylum/Orphanage in Thief DS spring immediately to mind - oh and the tentacle beast in the original HL). But Moo was the most fun (and funny), by far.

and don't forget the jade figurine :)
i still think there is a "cow level" it TQ. I'm sure that somewhere in Olympos there must be a portal, or that it must be done something there... :)
.. or so i guess..

The action-rpg Genre is pretty limited in what you can do. Game mechanics are also fairly limited. How else could you change it? They are all click, click..click... and click some more. The town portal thing is quite amuseing, but who really cares? D2 is the old. This is the new. But seirously, who the hell cares?
I sure don't, and quite enjoy the non-crap graphics [see D2] that titan quest brings. Its one of the few games with true dynamic shadows, among other things.
Quit beating the dead horse will ya.
