blood?

Will there be any blood in the game? coz in all the movies I have watched there was no blood, unfortunatly.

and i added a poll just for fun :P ^^ , and offcourse to check the opinion of the community 8)

i dont want blood to be in the game because it looks weerd combined with the mythology world and the creatures die even more impressive then just some blood dripping now.

I dont there will be much blood and gore, maybe just a little bit.
Its not Doom 3, its not a FPS :D

Its not supposed to be violent like those, but I think it will be somewhat realistic.

I don't care too much for blood. The game will not be ruined just because of blood but there's not need for it to be excessive and full of gore.

Ooo of cos i wan blood. It contributes so much to the gameplay.

It wld be great if different creatures died in different ways. For example some creatures would have green blood. I remember is diablo II where some creatures just disappears in a smoke when they died, definitely cool.

After seeing the videos of the game running i have to say that it looks odd without blood. Hitting monsters and them showing no sign of injury seems strange to me. I wanna see limbs flying everywhere :lol:

I totaly disagree ^^

blood gives the game so much more content. because
u have more visual effects from how bad the monster/thing is hurt.
it just feels so much better... just like dobsters said.

but if u disagree with my opinion who am I to judge? :)

and why would it be to much? more gore is better ^^

I spose i like gore so much cause of Sacred. With attacks like the woodelfs exploding arrow literally blowing enemies into bits of blood and guts on the floor it is a great game for gore :D

I think that would be to much for this game though but having a sword slice a monster but nothing showing where it impacts? where is the sense in that??

Thanks ruubster, i'm glad to be here. I actually found this site cause of yours post on the sacred forum but i have to say i don't agree that sacred sucks, you were prob joking anyway but i still love Sacred:)

It makes sence they dont want blood to be in the game they are improving and changing every aspect of a rpg so it makes sence to use more then just a bit of blood.

Ofcourse you need to have some blood and it helps when you cut off the head of some monster that something comes out.

I think some blood and gore is fine as it does add a certain amount of realism to the game. However, too much of it can actually detract from the gameplay and may frighten younger players, such as children. Another possible solution would be to have a "goremeter" that can be set before the beginning of the game. Such settings might include something along the lines of "None", "Low", "Medium" and "High" for example.

Remember, the game has to sell to a wide range of potenial buyers.

about the blood on you char: don't overdo it.. in sacred when your healing up the major blood stains don't go away until full health.. kinda weird cuz the healing process would be cool to see: all the stains getting absorbed back :p dont know if i spelled it right tho :p

if you watch the new developer diary video you will see that there is a gore/blood effect.

the gore effect is a cloud of blood flying away from the body of the enemy witch each hit looks pretty cool

looks like some sort of sudden burst of blood puffing into the air.. maybe this blood represents the soul of the creature fading away :p

well the game has been rate pendet (hope i spell it right) in germany and they say T for teen so 16 jears and older so dont epect too much gore like limbs flying through the air like crazy.

japanese versions would definetly be very gorish.. has anyone seen Battle Royale? :D orrr.. try Ringu, the official japanese versions of the ring (remake from hollywood) or akira, both pretty raunchy at some times. also, a lot of the manga that's from japan involves a lot of gore..

too bad my japanese isn't what my dutch is like.. :D
