hi all,
i wanted to be earth mastery and then i doubted between nature or spirit. With nature i can heal myself and have hearth of oak and susceptibility (-39% enemys elemental resistance), but with spirit i have liche king and ternion attack . Witch can be better?? i mean in epic diff, not normal that is so easy
i also have read in forums about spirit/storm, people say that owns... what is the build for oracle?? which skills you use??
with earth mastery you have core dweller, who is a tank, but in spirit/storm you dont have tanks (liche king at max lvl has only 636 life points, acording to gamebanshee database)
so plz, a little help. I have an assasin (warfare/rogue) and at lvl 30 i have only 230dps and i'm a drinking-machine of healing pots. I have seen pics of caracters lvl 40 with 1000 dps :knockout: how can it be??

Any build that's a caster type with Spirit, uses Ternion Attack. Ludicrously overpowered imho, but ymmv.
The trick to Spirit/Storm, is Ternion with the wisp pet's +100% elemental damage (which effects your Staff's elemental damage). Pretty simple, and essentially a one-trick pony in my book.

so oracle only uses ternion attack+eye of the storm?? but you dont have many armor and you can heal yourself... so oracle is very weak, isnt he??
wich one can be better?? spirit/storm, spirit/earth or earth/storm?? with earth/torm you dont have ternion attack, but have core dweller and earth enchantment that adds many fire dmg

The fire damage is miniscule compared to what Ternion Attack is able to do. I personally don't have a high level Spirit, but, Ternion is able to strike for some 4.5k (without eye of the storm) per bolt and each bolt is an AoE. I've heard of Spirits that 2-3 shot bosses on epic using Ternion.
Between Spirit/Storm and Spirit/Earth, if you compare the two ternions together, well, if they're using a Fire staff, they tie on damage (excluding Volativity, but thats a 33% chance to proc), but a Spirit/Storm will way outstrip a Spirit/Earth using a Lightning/Cold staff compared to the Spirit/Earth's Fire Staff.
Earth Enchant when max'd gives a +100% fire damage boost, I believe Storm Nimbus (though it takes more points to max) is able to give close to +100% cold and +100% lightning damage. In addition, the base spell Storm Nimbus, the cold/lightning damage bases go up, where as the Earth Enchant's Fire damage is always the 4-8 (if I recall properly, might be wrong on this). Then they can stack on the +100% Fire/Lightning/Cold damage bonus from Eye of the Storm.
Now which of those three builds you listed is ultimately better? Not really sure, I just know that Ternion is the deadliest skill in the game and that Storm's buffs give the maximal damage boost to Ternion. Does that make it better? Not imo, but then I'm partial to Defense Mastery anyways.

If you wanted to make a ternion-attacking earth character, it should work a bit differently to the storm version but along the same basic principle - you use your energy reserve, damage adding ability with a staff, fire off ternion attacks boosted with arcane lore, and really hammer it home with your high level elemental damage booster, which in this case would be volativity. Earth gives you much less intelligence than storm but tons of health, and it also works via fire and physical rather than cold and lightning. Pick your poison.
Earth and storm offer very different things to complement a ternion attacking sort of character, too. Storm seems to have tons of utility, with spellbreaker and its shield, while earth's pet has a built in taunt to better protect you while you unleash your assault.

As a Necrotank (read Spellbinder (Spirit/Defense) :p) I don't use ternion because I simply don't use a staff but a spear and a shield.
Am I the only one ?

<Nods> You're probably not the only one, I plan to make a Spellbinder at some point, or maybe a Spellbreaker (Warefare instead of Defense).
Spirit Mastery does lend some nice bonuses to melee characters. The more prodominant use of Spirit Mastery seems to be for Ternion Attack however. Thats not to say a Melee based Spirit Master won't work, far from it it works quite well since Deathchill Aura is pbaoe afterall, and melee's will have the HP's to spend on Dark Covenant that Casters lack.
