10% Piercing stat, between the dmg and speed of the weapon...

What does it mean?

I believe pierce damage goes through armor - so 10% of that weapons damage ignores the targets armor rating completely. Im sure one of our desingers will correct me if Im wrong with that :)

So lets say this:

Weapon of attacker:
50-100 Damage (example)
10% Piercing

Will that mean 5-10 Damage will ignore armor and go straight through it? That is: IF the defender doesn't have + Piercing resistance.

Other question: How is normal damage vs defense calculated?

The way I understand it, and considering various skills (particularly Hunting skills) is:
- it does 15-19 damage
- 10% of which is piercing damage (eg. 1.5-1.9)

Then, dexterity gives a bonus to piercing damage (while strength gives a bonus to all melee damage from what it reads on the tooltip), and will then use those 10% of the weapon damage. In the same way, several skills in Hunting mastery gives a bonus to piercing damage. And the fastest weapons are the one with the highest piercing bonus (well, except for spears which are slow) and the highest the dext needed is (except again for spears which are slow and require lots of dext).

I must admit the description is not perfectly clear though :)

thnx for the explanation Gorkk :)

I have an other question, but it doesn't fit the topic title, so I'm making a new thread
