I was reading the tips for noobs part, and i noticed that it said that with swords i should concentrate on str and with spears on dex... Does it mean that i dont get any damage from dex? It cant be all that, since on the few last levels(19-22) i have been taking mostly dex and my dps has increased from 60 to 180. Of course some skills affect it too, but doesnt dex add to it too?:knockout:
And oh, i have another question too, i hope it wont matter if i post it here in the same thread too: How is the "to hit" roll(or whatever it is in this game) worked out. Is it like this: i have def of 100, a foe has off of 10, so its a 10% possibility for him to hit me? That seemed most likely of what i have been thinking of.
Oh noes i got another question to my mind: Why am i unable to find all the nice little beasties like hydra and manticore? I have been to places where they should be but no, they are not there. Is it couse of the normal difficulty?
And a little lightening here in the end: You have noticed that pants dont seem to be of fashion in this game? I havent seen a single character with any pants on exept for the egyptians who wear diapers:D

STR increases Physical damage (labeled just as Damage in the game).
DEX increases Piercing damage.
HOWEVER!
Piercing damage is calculated from Physical damage. If you have a spear with a 30% Piercing ratio and you do 100 Average damage, 70 of that is Physical damage and 30 is Piercing.

They only appear in Epic/Legendary.

Strange as it may seem, pants weren't invented during the time that this game takes place... ;)

Yep, Greek mythology takes place ages and ages ago. Lol, diapers.
Dexterity also increases your offensive and defensive abilities (you can see them in secondary stats window). They determine your chances to hit/crit hit enemies and chances of them hitting/crit hitting you.

Rofl i know that greek mythology happened a long time ago, but i think chinese people had pants even on that period of time:p And TY for the pierce thing, finally understood it completely( I was beginning to understand it today when i checked the weps i have, and they said 15% piercing and then i took a spear from the ground and checked it too: 30%, so i thought that dex does affect blades too, but not as much as it does spears, but i thought that it is nevertheless useful for a dualist). AND OMG if the attack really works as is said in the cobat mechanic site, then if i keep getting them this way no bosses will hit me even on legendary... And yeh i was pretty sure too that the monstros only appear on higher difficulty levels... But i already killed chimera, and it wasnt very hard(well of course not on normal:D) exept for the fact that the room was filled with traps. And the big yeti, i killed it too, it was very easy since it missed me alot even when i was inside that blop of ice he used. And im kinda ashamed to say that i died again... Against the big neanderthal, he used a spell that dropped blue meteorites on me and one-hitted me with it. I didnt even try to evade it couse a fiery same-looking spell had been used on me and it wasnt effective at all. I guess it was couse of the user of the spell... But then i went back and killed with ease couse i now knew that it was a good idea to dodge that spell:p
Well thanks alot really, i finally understood them. And i gotta say, this is easily the most friendly site i have ever registered to.:)

Ah yeah, I wonder if someone managed to never die on Barmanu (neanderthal lord) yet in their whole playing of TQ. His meteors attack always takes everyone by surprise, well mostly due to stunning first.
I agree, this site is very friendly compared to some of the others I've been in.
