I'm totally new to the game. I've checked the boards and there's a lot of information for advanced characters which makes sense since this is a game that's been out for awhile. But for those jumping in fresh, it's hard to know how to progress early on. Most build advice seems to be for those in the 40+ zone. But it's hard to tell what should be prioritized early in those builds. I know I got frustrated with a Guardian build because I wasn't sure what to work with first.

So I'm coming here to see what the community thinks would be a good progression from early game to middle game. When I say that, I mean something like what you would go with to 10th level, 20th level, 30th level, and maybe 40th level. I don't know that I'll be seeing 40 anytime soon with my schedule since I'm playing together with some friends, so my leveling won't be speedy. That's why I wanted some more progressive information.

There was a nice post in the Rogue forum here (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/rogue/9370-if-your-rogue-x-dies-too-often-look-here.html) that gave some nice advice for breakdowns of classes by stages. I'd kind of like to see what people thought about the Templar in this regard.

Honestly, with my re-rollitis I'd like to see something like this for most builds, but right now I'm playing a Templar with some friends, so that's the build advice I'm currently seeking.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. IMO Templar is a v strong class end-game.. And most of its power comes off the Defense tree.. Heh :D... But due to Defense's lack of early game power (heavy AoE and the like), i ll think that you ll be better off investing in dream 1st..

In act 1 normal (which by the time u finish, u ll probably be at lvl 18-21, depends on how thoroughly you clear the map).. I think that Distortion wave will do most of the work.. Put point into Dream mastery then max Distortion Wave ASAP..

Then climb up the Mastery tree and add skill points in DW if you find it necessary.. When u finally maxed Dream Mastery, take off all the points in DW and put them in Trance of Wrath.. (you might end up choosing Trance of Covalesence end game (i did), but use ToW early anw, its pretty good for the Electrical burn dmg)..

The rest, you can do anything you want, ToW should take care of most monsters anw... Putting one point into Phantom Strike and maxing Dream Stealer nxt might be a good idea.. This will last you till the end of Normal no problem (i think)..

As for builds for later game's play, u can check out other threads in the Forum ;).
