Currently i'm a level 31 Thane about to go through the last areas of normal difficulty. I'm wondering from anyone who has this build but made it to epic or beyond if it's viable in upper difficulties.

Right now my skill point allocation is basically this:
Warfare Mastery : Maxed
Tumult, Crosscut, Hew, Duel wield, weapon training: Maxed
Onslaught : Maxed
Dodge and Ignore Pain: 5/6
Battle Rage and the two directly above it (one is crushing blow) : 1/6

In storm mastery I have Storm nimbus maxed and heart of frost with two points in it.

I was thinking of putting enough points in storm to get (and hopefully max) static discharge and wisp. This might take a number of more levels, not really sure though.

Is this a decent build for making through epic and hopefully into legendary or is there another way I can distribute skills that might be better in the higher difficulties?

Also, I've been mostly putting my attribute points into str and dex. Should I refocus on health some? I have about 2k hit points now with gear that adds +health%.

Thanks for any advice.

That's an incredibly awesome build, actually. I'd get rid of Battle Rage in favor getting your core skills maxed out, though. Consider getting and maxing out War Horn so you have an AOE stun to save yourself when you get swarmed. Definitely get Static Discharge, but skip on the Wisp - you're a melee character, you don't need a pet. Afterwards I suppose you could finish up the Dual Wield line and get Ardor.

My plan is to become a thane. But I'm level 25 and have just storm as a mastery. Plan to add wardare at the start of epic.

I've focussed on the reactive skills and the shard tree. The shards are really powerful and are useful when in trouble. I disagree about the wisp. The buffs are fantastic but the best thing is it has 99% dodge attack, it often takes the heat from tough mobs. I'v maxed out its buff and will start to max out the waip itseld. Storm surge and refelction on nimbus tree are great. Its good to see a host of monsters kill themselves on you.

I disagree about the wisp.

Yes, you are also playing a pure mage at the moment. Completely different scenario. Melee characters get crazy armor and HP to keep themselves alive so points spent on a pet detract from talents they should be spending on themselves. Pet + melee character is most likely effective regardless of my theory-crafting here, but that's due to pets being a little overpowered at the moment.
