Part of screenshots aren't mine, thanks to all people in this forum who posted their finds (or cheats, whatever).

If you know other good MIs worth listed here, drop me a PM with legendary screenshot of it.

:knockout:

I think you'll be getting a letter soon from the SPFMIR (Society for the Prevention of Farming against Monster Infrequent-owning Races)!

But otherwise, thank you for compiling the stats! Now I know my chances, literally. (And no I don't have a single pair of Batrachos Greaves).

hm, I must admit I was quite lucky with these items; found s. cuffs on my 2nd medusa run, batrachos greaves on my 3rd or 4th anouran run and on one of my Hades runs got Homados as well.

on the other side, I´ve got only normal or epic version of Revenant Plate with only 1 to all skills and it´s for the first time ever I can actually see how that Revenant Crown and formicid Shield look like

but this is one very impressive list indeed :)

Yeah, very nice. Thanks for posting this. :D

Put in a line at the top for newer players though, saying that the stats in the pictures aren't the base stats. Some of those have ridulously good affixes.

Koz

Yeah, it'd be nice if possible to list what base modifiers are, some of those I'm not sure what come from the item and what comes from the affixes.

Good job on this.

ETA: where is the best place to farm gilded skeletons in Act 2?

This is useful information. I vote for a sticky.

You welcome.
I updated the post.

Btw mistakes are possible here, though I did my best to prevent them. I am not sure such thing as broken Batrachos Greaves exists, but afaics it is, and half of the greaves you'll find will be broken.

Nice man, good work, very useful. Are you planning on adding Staff of the Magi and Hood of the Magi? IMO, both of these are awesome (although I think I heard that the Hood is bugged).

I asked before but didn't get a response: is there a good place to farm gilded skeletons? As much as I've played this game I can't think of good spot where they spawn that is easy to reach. Anyone?

I heard there is few of them in the egypt tombs.
Btw I think only Act2 gilded can drop revenant items.

Do you know where I can get screenshot or vault with legendary Staff of the Magi ? I only have normal version.

Lol, I guess that would be the valley of kings eh? I wasn't even thinking of that since when I go there I'm only in the habit of running straight to the Telkine. Lol, I guess I have a reason to go farm the other tombs.

Can't help you on the screenies though (I have epic Staffs and Hoods, but no Legendaries).

Very nice post. Pretty interesting for those that are hunting for the MIs.
I'll probably link this post in my MI FAQ I got going for the people who are interested in checking those out... You wouldn't be interested in finishing the list by any chance would you? I have maps with all the items laying on the ground, or you seem to be familiar enough with the database...

WOW, simply wow... really thank you for sharing these informations.

Now, in order to complete the whole thing, we have to add some more MI (ie: rancor) and to describe where is the best place to farm the specific kind of monsters.

Thx again.

Ciao!!

VERY GOOD THREAD! Nice job..

If you don't mind, I suggest you edit and include some/(or all :) ) other frequently farmed MI like RANCORS, FOLG, Kthonion RAZORs, etc. Also include the monsters and maps to looks for. Soldier's Unyielding Will for example drop only from formicids in Medea and not from anywhere else(not with pale formicids).

More list and this should be stickied..

Added: Hood of the Magi, Folg, Rancor.

Anybody know forum administrator who can allow me to post more than 10 images in one post?

You welcome.
Rancor is here and I did my best remembering location names.

Of course I don't mind. Rancor and Folg added, but I don't have any Kthonian Razors. The thing is - I want to post MI's with screenshots, so people can actually see them, not just boring text. :)

If by finishing the list you mean 162 MI's of game - no.
I don't have so much free time.
People farm for only few MI's, who needs all 162 anyway?

I have Madman's Greenpeace map, but it's not working in IT. What I need is some godly MI's screenshots.

EDITed: Large section deleted due to obvious contradiction to reality oh well.

ok now for my constructive part of my post so I don't get flamed so badly this thread never gets back on topic,
You might want to try and set up another thread with a poll of what items to include in your Highly Desireable Monster Infrequents list... I don't really know how that would work and so perhaps it would be much simplier just to use your own discression and edit appropriately.
I think getting maps/telling how to get to the places where that monster type stands is a very good idea. It doesn't need to be on the first page; it could just be linked it a different post in this thread. for example...

Anybody know forum administrator who can allow me to post more than 10 images in one post?
Just make a new topic and reserve a few posts for editing at the beginning. Would be annoying to remake the thread, but probably easier than getting to post more than 10 pictures per post.

And about the sticky or not sticky argument: Sticky isn't necessary, but there should be a sticky with links to threads like this.

Edit: Oh, and what about Melinoe Elite Spear Runners for Kthonian Spikes? Can't they drop them?

Whisk33, it seems to me you care too much about that sticky thing.

I made a Table of Unique Items Drop Chances for Titan Quest Bosses (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/spoilers/18686-table-unique-items-drop-chances.html#post172463), it taked much more effort than Most Wanted MI list, and this table isn't stickied here, and so what? You dig some info about the game, you share it with other people, and that's it.
Even though your FAQ isn't sticked it isn't stopped me from downloading your MI pdf list. I used it quite a few times, it's really good, so thank you for your time.

Now to the topic, I don't think there is need to create too much threads with voting and stuff. People just chime in here about MI's they want to see.
If someone can explain to me how to create(cheat) the item for screenshot it would be nice.

I dont care about me earning stickies.. I just see many threads where people say things should and.. WHAT THE CRAP HOW DID I MISS THAT AMAZING UNIQUE DROP CHANCE. OMG. That my friend in a word is awesome.
yeah the vote idea might have been bad.. I was trying
I can help you though. I have a map that has all the old MI lying on the ground. I have another one that has all the new one! Hooray. If you need that PM me with your email address and I'll send it over to you.

What about Melinoe Elite Spear Runners for Kthonian Spikes? Can't they drop them? Also, what are the chances for Gryphon and Trickery suffixes on the Stonebinder's Cuffs? Those also give attack speed.

hm, I can´t see any "uber" bonus on these Hoods of the Magi, maybe it´s the +x% casting speed or..? I agree with Staff of the Magi, it provides about -15% recharge and I´d like to add Shaman´s Leggins, they have some nice -x% recharge as well (up to -20%). I would post some screenshots, but have only the normal version of them (2 pcs.)

Added Khthonion Razor.
Have to cheat to get screenshot. The one showed here is best from 30 razors. Which is 7500 killed blade-runners or about 2000 court runs ...

If you need that PM me with your email address and I'll send it over to you.

Sure. PM sended.

What about Melinoe Elite Spear Runners for Kthonian Spikes? Can't they drop them? Also, what are the chances for Gryphon and Trickery suffixes on the Stonebinder's Cuffs? Those also give attack speed.

Sometimes I was too lazy to add prefixes in monster names, like elite or elder. Fixed.

Gryphon and Trickery suffixes added for cuffs+3.

What kind of chances are the affix chances you posted? Are they "if there is a suffix, there an x% chance it is y", or are they "if the item is dropped, there is an x% chance for it to have suffix y"?

The former, "if there is a suffix, there an x% chance it is y".

Added estimation of farming efficiency for Stonebinder's Cuffs.

For strictly MI farming Minoan runs is 3.7 times more effective than Gorgons Sisters runs. You sacrificing some amount of uniques, but get a lot more cuffs in return. I farmed 6 pairs today, no speed though.

You starting Minoan run at last fountain before Act 1 Telkine and go back checking four rooms where Profaners/Geomancers/Heroes can spawn (there is no need in killing other gorgons). I attached map there.

In average you will get 6 boss gorgons per run and after ~ 40 runs (about 20 minutes of farming) you should have your first cuffs from them. Try to peek through walls to save some time.

Galefury
09-18-2007, 09:09 AM
Heh, what about triple sisters? Looks like Minoan would still be faster. Which would give me an excuse to continue playing the game.

kalyan

I'm not using xmax mod, coz for me it's cheating.
See for yourself if you can multiply Minoan boss pairs.

Galefury
09-18-2007, 01:13 PM
Nope. Only the trash enemies get multiplied, not the ones with yellow or orange names. And of course you get 3 of most fixed bosses (only one chest though, except for telkines etc). And since minoan runs seem to be more than 3 times as effective than queen runs, and triple queen runs take longer than normal ones I guess minoan is the best way to get cuffs.

Thanks for timing and comparing those runs by the way, very nice info. :)

kalyan

You certainly welcome. :)
It's just estimation, you might still want to time it for your specific char.

Galefury

Shouldn't be too different from yours. It's a Templar so I have Colossus, and the minoan Gorgons don't take long to kill. 1 hit more or less shouldn't make much difference. A Hydra run takes me about 2 minutes though including loading time, which is way too long. I might have to get me a nice rare weapon and a Shen-Nong's before I farm it a lot. Or a Sapros of course...

Hyperion² you welcome. :)

Galefury
Yes, Templar is a fast farmer, just like anything with Colossus, but these loading times can make a difference. Still, for me it feels less boring to run Minoan, because it didn't take ages for next SB to appear.
For cheap -res I use Shield of the Korybantes with Monkey jewelry (it will get along with ToW nicely).
Still have to gather myself for that 1000 polyphem-sapros runs ... 17 hours of farming - plain sick. :(

Galefury
09-18-2007, 05:06 PM
I really don't think Polyphem is such a great run, even considering the good chance for Sapros. With x2, certainly, but without it Hydra, Typhon, SP or Hades should be better when considering the other stuff you get.

Polyphem's chance to have a unique mace is about 1.28%. Chest chance for unique mace should be around 0.13% (the bow chance from your chart divided by 3, its minor anyway). Total is about 1.41%, which would be 71 runs per unique mace. Triple Polyphem would be 3.98%, 25 runs per unique mace. Run time is about a minute according to your chart.

Hydra is at 0.92% (1m, 109 runs per unique mace). SP at 1.67% (3m, 60 rpum). Hades 1.04% (2m, 96 rpum). Typhon 1.02% (1:30, 98 rpum).

There's also Barmanu. He uses two clubs, and has the same chance to equip a unique club as Polyphem. Except it's on each hand, so you get twice the chance. You listed his run as 1:15. So if you can take him, he would be at about 2.7%, which means 37 rpum. Triple Barmanu about 7.83% (13 rpum), although that would be an extremely dangerous run.

So Polyphem is second best, and not that much better than Hydra. And Barmanu beats them all, but he's not exactly an easy run, considering the two neantherthal chieftains on the way to him, and his dangerous stun+icy rocks combo.

The chance for a unique mace to actually be Sapros should get better the higher the boss level and your level are, since it's among the highest level maces there are. That would be another point for Barmanu, but I don't know how much it matters. I guess at high enough levels the chance for a unique mace to be Sapros would be something between 5% and 10%, since there are about 10 level 59 maces on the lists, and the lower ones can still get dropped. Note that I don't actually have any idea how dynamic weight tables work, so be cautious about those 5-10%, it might be lower.

kalyan

Galefury

Thank you for extensive analysis, it's great! I will think about that.
I remember Barmanu killed my conq (res maxed, stun too) with these rocks almost instantly, the same character who can stand under Typhon rocks all day. It's just weird and I don't like dying.

SP and Hades also drop IT maces, which is a bad thing when looking for Sapros. Hydra holds less chance for the maces, and I farm it alot, it seems I getting the same stuff all over again ...

Anyway, I might try to get along with Barmanu - 37 vs 71 rpum is big diff. It's not even necessary to fight him every time, just that glorious day when he'll pull out his Sapros. Hope I will be able to kill him then.

Btw, how the quest for speed cuffs going? Got any?

Galefury
09-18-2007, 06:25 PM
31 SBC so far. None of Alacrity or with attack speed. And either I've been lucky, or Minoan Labyrinth instead of triple queens really makes a difference. I got two cuffs pretty fast. It's a lot more hectic though, which means watching movies on my second monitor doesn't work quite as well. I will have to experiment a bit with it I guess. ;)

And Barmanu's rocks killed you because they do a ****load of damage (much more than Typhon's meteors actually), and a lot of it is physical. If I'm reading it right, they have about 800 physical base damage, and about 2500 cold base damage at legendary skill level. No idea if that's total damage or for each rock. All that modified by the legendary bonus damage, boss bonus damage, and stats of course. Fun. Having 80% cold resistance is worth a try I guess, and having Colossus on might help too. I have no idea if Colossus even fits through the slopes in the cave that leads to him anyway, so saving it for Barmanu might be an option. Seeing whether he has a unique mace or not shouldn't be too hard, he's big enough.

Edit: SBC #32 had 25% attack speed. :D
I guess I'll farm this seed some more to see if I get a duplicate. Anyway, 25% should be enough... for now. :D

Edit 2: 33% attack speed on #34. It's not exactly a duplicate, but I'm starting to believe in the seed theory again. *g*

Congrats on your SBCs ! :) Patience beats everything.
Did you noticed how many pairs with both suffix and prefix you got?

Fun. Having 80% cold resistance is worth a try I guess, and having Colossus on might help too.

Yeah, I too thought that Colossus + BS might help. Barmanu disagreed. This guy is a pure evil. Hades and Typhon are kids comparing to him.

1) He stuns you every time with his warcry, even with stun resist 200% (cap is 80%, but still, wtf?)

2) Then he calls that blizzard ... it consist of 15 rocks, each rock does about 4000 damage. I'm not sure if that number already reduced by any resistances (I have 20% DR and 80% Cold). So here you go - at least 60K damage attack.

69 clev conqueror reduces each hit by 500 with her armor and then 78% damage absorption comes into play (Colossus+BS), which reduces damage per rock to 770.

Still, it only takes 10 out of 15 rocks to kill 7000hp+ char.

Seriously, what were devs thinking giving a guy 100% stun ability and 60K attack? And if so, how he's only a mid-boss? He should be sitting in Hades palace instead of olympian. Hades barely scratches that conq under 78% absorb.

So, I need haruspex with 100% CAP to farm Barmanu, otherwise it's just waste of time.

Hyperion²
09-19-2007, 04:23 AM
100% CAP is reachable with every kind of mastery coupling; haruspex has the advantage over the other ones of accomplishing that with fewer items.

I believe it's because... he's an optional side quest boss, not necessary for the main quest arc. He's hard to kill- but at worst, you don't need to.

If the end-act bosses were this hard, which many players have thought so before in the case of Typhon, then we would have tons of players complaining....!

Same with Toxeus... idiot made my Champion die her 10th and 11th times.

The worst thing about Barmanu is, his quest doesn't even give you a good reward. I usually just skipped him when I played before.

Just look through your uniques a bit (Zeno's shield comes to mind) and farm up a Knot of Isis. Zeno's + Isis alone give you 40%. Getting 100% COP won't be easy, but should be possible. Also, Veteran's prefix on torso armor gives 15%, of the Glade suffix gives 8%. Of Guile also gives some. Just in case you can't find uniques that help avoiding for torso or hands.

Besides, as you said, you only need to kill him when he has Sapros. You might die a few times, but I've always managed to kill him when I tried, sometimes racking up around 10 deaths in the process. If you got good dex you can also max Hamstring and use a bow. That worked great on those annoying bosses in vanilla TQ (with "those" I mean the bull...). No idea if bosses resist movement slow now though.

Or you could just go back to Polyphem. :/

Oh, and of the 36 SBC I got, 10 had prefix and suffix. One was a duplicate though, not sure if those should be counted. Either I've been very lucky, or the game calculates it in a different way than you think. 10 of 36 is about 28%. That's not exactly 10%, but more around 45%*45% + 10%. That would be a weird way to calculate it though, so maybe I was just really lucky.

Whisk33
09-19-2007, 10:36 AM
If you are going to do Baruman you need to tank him!
Haruspex with ToE.

You will need maxed dodge projectile and then just run and let him metoer you.
Keep your resistances negative and watch him kill himself in one attack. Mufasa and hello unique maces. heck and then you get to open the chest as an additional little bonus...

kalyan

Other classes became too weak with 100% CAP.

Yeah, I have Anciles (Zenos too), Isis and some other stuff, can equip 60-65% CAP w/o much sacrifices. But need to see if it will be enough for Barmanu.

I have 2 from 10 - 20%. The weights in dbr's are 2,9,9 for both/suffix/prefix, which usually means 10/45/45%.

Well, game sometimes have weird seeds. Consecutive dupe drops, dupe drops month away from each other, different people finding Homados with the same seed ...

BTW, I really wanted to post to say congrats to Galefury for the SBCAs! You and this thread inspire me to try... again!

09-19-2007, 08:53 PM

I calculated the chances for some good affixes on Kthonian Spikes, and made an excel sheet (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=966&stc=1&d=1190260824) for calculating affix chances. It has the Kthonian Spike data in it too, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out what goes where. It saves a lot of typing on the calculator.

Now about those Kthonian Spikes:
If there is a prefix, the chance for it to be good is 2.21%. In this case, good means good enough so you would use the weapon without a suffix, and it would be somewhat useable even without a relic. As you see, the chance for a great prefix is very low, about 1 in 45.
Included are:
Veteran's 0.88%
Relentless 0.45%
Ferocious 0.03%
Savage 0.02%
Murderous 0.40%
Treacherous 0.39%
Impaling 0.02%
Puncturing 0.02%

The chance for a good suffix is 23.93%. The suffixes aren't quite as awesome as the prefixes though. Some of them may not be enough to make you use the weapon without some mediocre prefix.
Included are:
Alacrity 4.62%
Speed 1.54%
Trickery 1.03%
Winds 1.03%
Annihilation 6.90%
Devouring 4.60%
Feasting 1.53%
Havoc 1.15%
Chaos 0.77%
Eagle 0.38%
Falcon 0.38%

For affixes from the same line, I listed the better one first. This is from the regular L3 spear tables btw. I don't know why the L4 tables aren't used, but that's how it is. I haven't checked the table a/b weightings for regular spears, but I suppose they are the same, so the chances would be the same for other late legendary spears.

This is working very well. Running triple Barmanu right now. :D

No need for a Haruspex by the way, my Templar can do it just fine. I don't even need ToE, I'm using Rally for the reflection. I only needed to replace three items to get 100% dodge, halving my DPS in the process. Not like it matters, since Barmanu kills himself anyway.

Prowler's Leguards can be nice with the right mods. +20% attack speed, 7% melee dodge.

Sabertooth Mantle from the tiger mages also great. -20% mana cost, 35 int.
Edit: looks like you need to kill around 1000 tiger mages to get one of these. Chance to equip a tigerman mantle is about 1/4, chance for a tigerman mantle to be a Sabertooth Mantle is about 1/250.

The db entry for the Melinoe mage helm also looks good. 30% elemental resistance, +16% elemental damage.
Edit: it seems like that helm cant be dropped, because Melinoe never use helms. :(

In other news, I got my Sapros. And as silly as that may be, it dropped from Barmanu's chest. I guess I got lucky. Got about 6 or 7 unique maces from Barmanu too.

Hallowed = Helm suffix
of the Betrayer = At least in patches 1.15 and 1.20 it was only a weapon suffix. No more that suffix in IT at all. It was a ring suffix in 1.11 as far as I remember
Hale = suffix for rings, amulets..etc.

So neither of those items can be dropped anymore. So I'd say the are not legit, even if they've been gotten in legitly with previous patches.

Galefury

No, they certainly aren't. Hallowed can only spawn on helms. Of the Betrayer doesn't even spawn anymore in IT, and I'm not sure it could ever spawn on rings.

Malachite is one of the quality grades for items made of metal. It's usually not displayed for magical items, like all rings. But TQVault displays it anyway. For rings and amulets the only thing it changes is the color of the item. For other items, different quality grades have slightly different base stats.

The Betrayer suffix came in patch 1.20. Trust me - or read the patch notes from the game's Producer: http://www.titanquest.net/forums/developer-digest/9743-balance-patch-notes.html?highlight=betrayer. It was only ever a weapon suffix.

Also, all the item abilities, skills, weapons, monsters, etc., can be examined by anyone with the game installed using Art Manager. You can simply read the list of affixes that might possibly spawn with any item, for example a ring. If you quickly scan through that thread I posted above in message #65, you will see that I am quite familiar with the item affixes and how they spawn.

Black Pearl Rings could always give +1/+2 to all skills, and still can. They can also have the +1/+2 to a single mastery prefixes. Same for Crystal Ring. Jade Band can have +1 to one or all masteries.

This is pretty rare, and I don't have one of those rings, but in the loot tables it definitely looks like it can happen.

Right. They have their own unique tables of affixes, though; they don't use the default ring tables. Pythia's Vestment* is like that, a torso armor that can spawn with jewelry affixes.

I'll have to try Art Manager with 1.80 installed since using it on IT will show that the affix can't go on anything.

Have fun.

Or, you could just look in:

It shouldn't be hard to find; it's called:

so are there still any +1/2 to skill rings in TQ IT?

btw back to topic, posting image of legendary (Venomous) Staff of te Magi (of Sulfur) for kalyan, was quite lucky with that drop :)

Yes there are. I can point you to the last post of this (http://forums.ag.ru/?board=d2_main&action=display&s=0&num=1159956069) thread. Click on white "spoiler-hidies" to see the chances. Some info on russian, but mostly it's english.

Bottom line: chance to spawn Sacred on Black Pearl or Crystal Ring is ~ 1%.

Sacred BPR of Focus would be absolutely kick-*** item for a mage
(recharge should work on it, I guess, or no?).

And hey, thanks for the screen, nice find!

Added: Staff of the Magi, The Night Mistress's Clutch.

No, there aren't any yellow/green rings with +skills.

I think Poinas' point is still true, though, as far as bonuses to all skills; or do the +allskills suffixes appear on the non-unique ring tables? I've never seen any drop, but I've never gone through all the lists.

I'm afraid "of Focus" and other affixes which give -%recharge are not working in IT.

Non-unique rings will never give + to all skills. Neither will unique ones, other than those few percent of Black Pearl/Crystal/Jade rings.

About the -recharge not working thingie, does the -recharge on Staff of the Magi work?

Yes. Any item with a built-in -recharge works, it's only the affixes that are defective; and they use to work before 1.30; it's probably something in the updated formulae that's gone wrong (maybe a , instead of a .)

yep, (not only) my tests proved, that Staff of the Magi and Shaman´s Leggings are the only 2 greenies (both MI) that still work. but must agree with I_Raps, "of Focus" suffix is unfortunately of no use in IT

Hm, I just found a nice trick/cheat for making MI farming easier. Many MIs use a slightly different texture than the normal monster item. Just change it to something that is easy to see, like bright red, or yellow/black stripes. Then just run through the area till you see something bright. It's basically a slightly cheaty extension of the "only kill Machae with black suits" strategy. It doesn't work on all MIs though, since not everything has a different texture.

Doing this for something that is easy to get is kind of overkill, but those Tigerman mages pissed me off by not dropping their infrequent armor... There's so few Tigerman mages, and a 1/1000 chance for the infrequent armor isn't exactly high either.

Not a very desirable MI for a mage imho - no recharge.

Galefury

Not having to drink potions makes playing a lot more pleasant, so reduced energy cost is very useful. Put in a Golden Fleece and you got -50% on a single item, which makes getting to that sweet 80+% reduced cost so much easier. Recharge can be gotten from non-torso items anyway.

kalyan
09-28-2007, 08:12 PM
I think MI is great if it have something special, which can't be found on uniques. Stuff like Homados, Cuffs+3, Batrachos.
-20% energy cost == +25% mana
Cestus (http://www.gamebanshee.com/cgi-bin/search/banshee_search.pl?_layout=TitanQuest_Items_Page&_cgifunction=search&TitanQuest_Items.id=38) provides comparable mana bonus and more.

Btw recharge is harder to get than all forms of mana (flat bonuses, regen, -cost, both absolute and %).

Galefury
09-28-2007, 08:57 PM
You can get -100% recharge with only 3 items (Tracker's Hood, Archmage's Clasp, Talisman of the Jade Emperor), but that's impractical because you have to spread your stats. Second best are all the possibilities for getting it with 4 items, all of them including either Archmage's Clasp or Tracker's Hood, and usually the Jade Talisman too. The possibilities are certainly not endless, but there are a few good ones. 5 or 6 items doesn't leave enough room for pushing other stats IMO, but it's a good option for lower levels, when you cant use the Jade Talisman yet. Or if you want to use Ikon of Zeus, Eye of Ra, Elemental Rage or Symbol of the Polymath, I'll have to experiment with those I guess. With so many combinations available using the torso for recharge is absolutely not necessary, and IMO not a good option in most lategame situations.

Besides, -20% energy cost is only the same as +25% mana if you don't think about energy regeneration and potion use. If you get more energy you still spend the same amount. With -x% energy cost you actually spend less energy (duh), which means you need to drink fewer potions, and can regen the energy back faster, which makes playing less of a hassle. At around -70 or 80% you can usually stop using mana potions completely. It's the same reason that makes me get a mana leech item for weapon users, it's convenient. Sure, you can always chain chug potions, or get more energy and sometimes drink potions. But it's so much more convenient to never have to drink potions because the remaining cost is covered by your mana regen. Life leech (% damage converted, not the damage type ;) ) is also very nice, for the same reason.
Bottom line: less potions = convenient = good.

I might use Cestus if I could put a Golden Fleece in it without cheating, but unfortunately I cant. Or if it had -20% energy cost or +1 to skills on top of its other stats, but unfortunately it doesn't. IMO stuff like Calypso's Cover or Mantle of the Overlord (both give +2 skills) is way better, a lot better than any torso armor with recharge reduction. Cestus is one of the best recharge armors though. Bai Hu's Mantle is awesome because it gives -20% energy cost on its own, and you can put a Golden Fleece in it. -50% is more than any other item in the game gives, exactly what I'm looking for in an MI. Now you could of course put a Golden Fleece in any rare/MI armor, but the difference between -60% and -80% is pretty big. Same deal as with recharge or resists, the more you already have the better it gets. The absolute gain is always the same, but the relative gain rises, which is often more interesting than the absolute gain.

For some of my thoughts on 100% recharge mage equipment you could also read this (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/storm/18928-druid-high-end-gear.html#post181123).

Anyway, theorycrafting for the win. :D

Don't like Tracker's Hood for mage -> need too much dex (int build FTW) and only one useful stat.
I tend to prefer balanced gear which gives a little bit of everything, than going with one good stat on one item, because IMHO it gives more durable chars.

Also, let's not forget that you can get percent there and there depending on seed.
Tiresias' Guide or Hesione's Golden Veil - I have 15-17 versions.
Jade Emperor (25), ArchmageClasp (43 on mine), no other choices here.
That's 85. Now I can just put on Cestus (15) and done with it. 4 items. It leaves me an option of AF amulet.
Or Polaris (15) with Vestment of the Overlord / Calypso, certainly good armors also.
When I'd find a bit better Clasp I may change setup for int helm and still get away with 4 recharge items and int build.
I won't touch weapon there, it's too class-related (my prophet likes Sakur-Aba (http://www.gamebanshee.com/cgi-bin/search/banshee_search.pl?_layout=TitanQuest_Items_Page&_cgifunction=search&TitanQuest_Items.id=1691), found it recently).

With so many combinations available using the torso for recharge is absolutely not necessary, and IMO not a good option in most lategame situations.

I can say the same - with so many +mana in various forms on caster's gear, using the torso for -50% cost greenie is absolutely not necessary. http://forum.ixbt.com/rolleyes.gif

But then again, we looking from a bit different perspectives - you are druid, I am a prophet (ToC), so our priorities for gear is different. ;)

Anyway, your post at High End Gear thread is really well-thought, covers every aspect of caster setup and I agree with it (except prolly Tracker's Hood recommendation). Copied it to my TQ info folder.

Galefury
09-29-2007, 05:14 AM
I didn't really recommend Tracker's Hood, I wrote somewhere that I recommend using the int setup. Something like that, I don't remember. It's more focused, which is a good thing IMO. I posted the Tracker's stuff mostly because I needed to think about whether it would be good for my Druid, so I posted advantages and disadvantages. I also wanted to provide an alternative to Archmage's Clasp, which is pretty rare (I have yet to find one, and since farming Typhon for it became boring I'm currently not even looking for one :( ). Tracker's might be good for some caster types (melee elementalist comes to mind), but probably not for Druids.

Using the Torso for mana is not necessary at all, Using it for +2 to skills is great too. +1 with other great bonuses is also nice. Getting to +4 without torso armor or fighter items (Stonebinder's, Revenant stuff) is pretty hard though, and the major recharge armors don't give + to skills. 50% reduced mana cost is also great. I would probably wear the mana cost when I can still kill easily, and wear + to skills or defensive armor if things get difficult. The torso pieces usually give the biggest bonuses of all, and are pretty diverse, which is why I will try to not use it for recharge. Switchable torso armor makes a caster so much more adaptable.

By the way, what is playing a Prophet like? The combination seems pretty bad to me, but maybe a certain playing style can make it useful.

Also, your no gold drops mod is awesome. I found it a few days ago, and it makes farming so much better. The gold drops from single bosses are annoying, but the amount of gold drops you get from Triple Telkines/Typhon is just... ARGH. Especially when you're just looking for lowlevel formulas, but need to pick up all the gold so you can see all items.

Yeah, it seems 10x more rare than other Archmage's stuff, or it's my weird luck I don't know.

Getting to +4 without torso armor or fighter items (Stonebinder's, Revenant stuff) is pretty hard though, and the major recharge armors don't give + to skills.

I can settle for +3 on boots and ammy/armor. As you nail it - stats like recharge gets better the more you have, +skills is generally not.
Is it even possible to combine int build, 100 recharge and +4 to all skills? Without elusive items like +skills ring?

By the way, what is playing a Prophet like? The combination seems pretty bad to me, but maybe a certain playing style can make it useful.

So far so good. I think Dream is a great supportive mastery, useful for both casters and meleers - Trance of Convalescence to regenerate hp/mana and I plan to use Distort Reality + Temporal Rift combo to petrify and damage mobs. Plus all usual stuff in Storm.
Should be really durable and safe char, though likely not nearly as universal for farming as my conq70.

Also, your no gold drops mod is awesome. I found it a few days ago, and it makes farming so much better.

Glad you like it. Gold is really irritating for farming. Though I not the only author, Evil-Good patched the first sub. ;)
Hope SS will include it in defiler, so more people can use it.

Btw, you need that -cost tiger MI? I can vault it to you, don't have much use of it anyway.
Also I have similar helm:

Thanks for the nice offer, but I would rather find it myself.

I hope the no-gold patch gets included in Defiler too. Doing it manually is somewhat annoying (at least to me, since I'm not used to it), and most people don't even have a hex editor installed, or don't know what the stuff you wrote means.

+4 with -100% recharge is possible. +2 on Torso (Vestment of the Overlord, Calypso's Cover), +1 on Helm (Hallowed, Crown of Dockma'Ar, any rare with a +1 skills Erebus Crystal), +1 on boots (Demonskin Walkers, Loratian Greaves). That, or +2 each from Amulet and Torso. There are also several hard to get combinations.

I don't know if it's possible without hard to get items if you use a weapon that doesn't give recharge. That would most likely mean you have to use two of Torso, Amulet and Helm slots for recharge, exactly those that give the most +skills. With a +3 Helm (Hallowed and +2 crystal) you could get it with +1 greaves I guess, using Polaris and one of the recharge torsos to get to -100% recharge (with AM clasp and Jade Talisman). +2 crystals are very hard to get though. The alternative would be a +skills ring, which is also hard to get. I currently can't think of other ways to get to +4. +3 isn't hard though.

And I still don't see how Dream is such a great support for casters. Sure, some parts of the Lucid Dream tree can still be useful, and there's the trances. Maybe I don't see it because I hate DR/TR.

kalyan
09-30-2007, 01:41 PM
But what if I don't want to swap staff for -recharge?
Leaves Artifact + Ammy + Gloves. Even if Polaris can go up to 17 and ArchmageClasp up to 50 ... still be short. Need crystal+2 or +skills ring.
Anyway, something to think about.
Heh, it would be so much easier if greens worked properly with -recharge.

Maybe I don't see it because I hate DR/TR.
Exactly because of that. May I ask why you hate it?
Great skill and placeable to MMB which is especially valuable in crippled TQ interface.
Damage gets boosted by Squall, Lucid Dream, items (rings included) and also ToW, if you decide to be more offensive than ToC.

Galefury
09-30-2007, 02:40 PM
Maybe the greens (and yellows) can be fixed? A comparison of some 1.20 and 1.30 database entries might help. If it was a code change that broke them that wont help though.

ToW doesn't sound like it would be good for casters, the range is pretty low.

I hate DR/TR mostly because it doesn't activate reliably for me, which makes it not very good as an emergency skill. Also the damage is low, especially for melee builds (no int boost to the electrical burn because int is too low, and AFAIK str doesn't boost physical spell damage), while caster builds don't get many non-emergency chances to use it. If enough enemies are close to you to make stunning them worthwhile, you would most likely already be dead.
If it was an 8+8 skill (with the same stats at level 8 it now has at 12) I might like it more, but 12+12 is too much for what that skill offers IMO. And not maxing it means the damage is even worse. The idea of putting mass stun and dot on the same skill is awesome, but why make the base skill damage physical and vitality, the worst damage types a spell can have (physical gets greatly reduced by armor, and both don't get stat boosts afaik)? I had it on 1+12 for a while, but didn't like that either. The stun seemed too short I think, it seemed like it was not really 7 seconds. DR/TR seemed great on paper, but it was very disappointing ingame.

Now if I missed something there, please tell me, I have no problem with giving it another chance. But from my experience it seems pretty damn useless to me.

kalyan
09-30-2007, 03:04 PM
May be they can be fixed or may be not. Most vets will say that recharge is already overpowered, don't make it even easier.
At least skillCooldownReduction is there, at suffix files, I think it was there on 1.20 also, though I don't have the old base.

We'll come back to DR/TR question when I'll finish my Prophet. ;)

This thread (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/technical-corner/9810-need-backups-original-game-files-come-here.html) has db files and other game files for some old versions, including 1.20. Fixing the recharge suffixes wouldn't really make recharge any more powerful I think, except maybe the golden fleece with recharge completion bonus. It's only 9% though, and cant vary, so it could only patch up small holes, not provide a major bonus. I'm not quite sure about this, but I think the recharge suffixes can only spawn on helms and maybe staves, and very rarely on some unique items. The only thing that might bring recharge to equipment slots that don't already (or rather: not anymore) have uniques for it would be the unique rings I think, maybe some of the other uniques too. But that's rare enough to not be a problem.

Edit: With Shaman's leggings it would be easier to get +4 skills without using a recharge weapon. Just use torso + ammy with +2 skills each, with Hesione's and Shaman's Leggings for recharge. I don't know the other base stats of the Shaman's Leggings though, they probably don't have movespeed.

Shaman's Leggings will always have one -%recharge stat. The other -%recharge bonus comes from the affix (~of focus?). I'm sure the Epic version can have that too. The affix doesn't work though.

haR haR, very funni, indeed

ok, i´m back from work, so here we go: first of all, neither one nor the other Shaman´s Leggings from Normal have -% recharge prefix or suffix, one of them are Insulated (+fire resist.), the other are Scholar´s (+energy). btw the epic ones are Savant´s (+more energy)

then i made that recharge test and equipped:
-15% from Cestus
-14% from Staff of the Magi
-20% from Arcane Bindings (btw they have -20% energy cost as well)
-25% from artifact
-10% from Orb of the Fallen (amulet)

= -84% recharge, so i need at least -16% recharge, which means both bonuses have to work to get over -100% recharge

equipped normal Insulated (12%+5%) - ok
equipped normal Scholar´s (14%+5%) - ok
equipped epic Savant´s (9%) - not ok :)

so my question is still the same, what does the database say about this?

well, now it´s your turn, maestro  ;)

I don't know about your database, but my database says this is perfectly normal* and expected:

http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/4304/normshamlegrn5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

The 12% is directly added to your -x% recharge; the 5% multiplies all of your -x% recharge by 1.05.

So your equipped normal Insulated is actually ((84% + 12%) * 105%) - ok

Looking at the Epic and Legendary bonuses, it's apparent that the 12% addition is extraneous. The skillCooldownReductionModifier ramps up from 5 to 8 to 10, but the skillCooldownReduction disappears.

2Argantes: do you mind posting a screenshot of the item stats?
Is reduction and reductionModifier have exactly the same names?

Answering other part of your question: only normal SL have both: 12 flat recharge together with 5 modifier. Epic have just 8 mod, and Legendary just 10 mod.

Likely, it's a bug, and means that normal SL give the most recharge, because nobody will have more than 100 anyway.

Argantes
10-02-2007, 03:08 AM
ok, i´ll add them later and yes, reduction and reductionModifier have exactly the same names, that´s why i thought that both stats provide flat recharge

@kalyan: I don't remember in which thread we talked about prefix, suffix and prefix+suffix weightings being off, and I'm too lazy to search. Check game/gameengine.dbr. There's a list of randomizer weighting modifiers in there.

If they work the same way the monster exp modifiers work it's a percentage bonus. So 400 would mean +400% = *5. I got most of my cuffs from the queens, cuffs have weightings 2 9 9, boss modifiers are 600 500 500. New weightings would be 14 54 54, which would still be only about 10% for both prefix and suffix.

If they don't work like I'm thinking they do and the modifier is simply added, the weightings would be 602 509 509, which would be more in line with the around 25% cuffs with both prefix and suffix I found. Modifiers being added could only be true if they are not added if the weighting is 0, though, because otherwise you could find any MI without an affix (due to the NoPrefixNoSuffix modifier).

I don't know how those modifiers work, but they definitely work somehow. Bosses drop fewer broken items, and more magicals and rares than normal enemies. Same for quest enemies.

Edit: Silly me didn't check if there is another gameengine.dbr in the xpack folder. In case you didn't see that coming, there is one. Boss weightings are 3000 500 500 there, which would explain the high amount of cuffs with prefix and suffix I found. Champions only have 0 50 50, so farming the Gorgon Queens for cuffs might not be such a bad idea after all. On the other hand, of Alacrity is usually all people are after, and a prefix is a nice bonus, but not necessary. So Minoan Labyrinth is still the best place I guess. Also, the modifiers are definitely applied via multiplication, not via addition.

Can anyone verify?

Yes, only Act2 gilded skellies can drop Revenant: all dbr's containing MI are named egypt_xx_gildedxxx. The ones with names orient_xx_gildedxxx don't contain MI.

Sorry for your time, but before farming you have to gather as much info as you can, not just count on luck.

This is a great thread. After reading it, it has got me to do some farming for MI's. I was wondering how you figured out who drops what and what the percentages are? Like for example do Warlord helms and coats only drop from the black warlord tigermen, or can the pack leaders drop them too, or can just regular tigermen drop them? I've got a list of MI's from TQCatalog and I'm trying to collect them all. Thanks in advance.

It looks so lovely! How long did it take to get that?

Heh. Not very long, probably after some days of farming (legendary MinoLab run). I wasn't farming for this specifically, it just happened to drop. The Minolab run is a nice run with lots of unique axes, swords, Megalesios MI, Minotaur Lord MI.

Problem with this MI is that it looks seriously goofy no matter who puts it on (unless you're a minotaur).

I'm really starting to wonder which creature can drop Stheo's Wisdom. I've been farming Gorgons everywhere, got around 20 each of Stonebinder's Cuffs/Crown/Armor throughout all difficulties and much more Sentinel's stuff, but not a single Stheno's ever dropped.

I took a look at the dbr's and found out there is the following entry:
records\item\equipmenthelm\mi_e_gorgon.dbr
On a custom map I confimred it's the epic Stheno's Wisdom, dropped by Geomancers and Pyromancers (who usually give me Stonebinder's Crowns?).

Unlike the entries for Stonebinder's stuff, which all have a normal, an epic and a legendary counterpart, there only exists the epic Stheno's Wisdom, unless I missed something. Then again I've seen a screenshot of a normal Stheno's Wisdom somewhere here in the forums.

I'm confused. Has something changed since IT? Can those gorgon caster drop both Stonebinder's Crowns and Stheno's Wisdoms? Has anyone found one on legendary since IT?

Hey I just thought of two things...

1) shouldnt this be in the IT section of this forum and not the Regular TQ?

2) Can Anyone with the know how make a custom map that has a merchant for each on of these items? The merchant only carries one Monster Infrequent and then you could just continuously run around to each of the mercs to refresh their store? Yeah? huh? Anyone? That way you could try and find a Juggys Rev plate of the Glade or whatever you be looking for...

I think there's one thing missing; namely the Ichthian Harpoon:

http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w244/Sanningsmannen/itemmiveteransichthianharpoonoftheb.jpg

This one was obviously created on a custom map, but the 30% Piercing modifier along with average base speed is maybe too good to be true.

Since "of the Betrayer" apparently doesn't exist in IT one would have to downgrade in order to farm for such a spear. Anyway the complete stats on it would be:

(133 ~196) Bleeding Damage
10% Chance of +(81 ~ 119%)% Bleeding Damage
+(9 ~ 28)% Damage
+(6 ~ 18)% Attack Speed
+(7 ~ 22)% Offensive Ability
(17 ~ 32)% of Attack Damage converted to Health
+(21 ~ 39) Offensive Ability
(23 ~ 42)% Reduced Resistances for 3 seconds

I'm very interested. Since you have done it already for SBCs and I guess the prices for them are auto-calculated in the shops - how expensive are they? Usually MIs sell for much more than standard gear so that may give a "disadvantage" for players to get the feeling it's legit. ;)

I'm still not sure I'd buy them though. There's always the problem that:
1) games like TQ live by their replayability and long-term motivation, which comes for a very large part from the chances to improve gear (finding better items)
2) then again ridiculously low chances sometimes make you feel like cheating to get some of the items (which is the case with this shop - at least for some of us), but that may harm the feeling of accomplishment and reduce the replayablity

P.S. no infos on the Stheno's Wisdom (see my last post in here)?

kalyan
11-14-2007, 03:27 AM
Prices, say, about 10 mln for typical Legendary SBC.

Replayability is FTW, but if you need that Cuffs of Alacrity to finish char equip ... you may farm for a week or you may just create(buy) it and use that time for something else. I'm not saying everybody should do this, but it's good to have a choice.

Stheno's Wisdom. Pretty sure it's only Epic. I never find other versions.

True, I guess. Although, I don't know why so many people think Bleeding Damage is total crap. It's a completely viable source of damage, provided you have fitting skills. I mean, you wouldn't choose to capitalize on Piercing Damage with a Juggernaut (Earth/Defense), would you? Try Warlock for Bleeding Damage; you won't be disappointend ;)

Anyway, yes, it's crap if you don't have Hunting or Rogue as one of your masteries (then again, a Spear without Hunting is in many cases stupid). And true, the base Bleeding-modifiers on their own on an Ichthian Harpoon aren't really comparable to other MI's base modifiers. However, average base speed and 30% Piercing modifier totally make up for it. Average base speed means you can exchange some AS for %Dmg, and 30%P.Mod will increase your total damage a bit by itself, provided you've got some +%Piercing Damage.

Ah, I see. Well, to be completely honest; I can truly relate to that, heh. But what bugs the most about DoT is that the last pixel of HP always takes longer to diappear than previous pixels of HP.

Let's set an example; you toon is doing DoT to an enemy, at the rate of 1 pixel of HP (of the monster HP-bar) per fixed time-unit. Let's just assume in this case that the game runs at a fixed rate of 25 frames per second. Let's also assume that the monster's HP-bar has a horizontal size of 25 pixels. That would mean that it would take exactly 25 frames for the monster to die (no direct damage whatsoever in this case). However, for some unapparent reason, the last pixel will take more than 1 frame to get rid of. Likely ~3 frames of duration in comparison

I believe it's more to do with health being shown as percentages. 100% is completely full health and one hit, be it -1 dmg against 1 billion health, drops it to 99%, but after that you need more hits to drop it to 98% etc... Last percentage on the other hand includes all health from 1.99% to 0%, efficiently showing almost 2% of total health.

You can get all of them on all difficulties. It's just on harder difficulties they are better. Remember that they are not epics or legendaries, so their stats can vary greatly. E.g. if a normal sabertooth does somewhere around 40 damage the epic one will do about 90 I think, etc etc.

Question
01-21-2008, 09:37 AM
Can revenant armor drop in normal?

Which tombs spawn gilded skeletons?

Arminia
01-21-2008, 10:11 AM
Yes, it can, but only in legendary it will have +2 to all skills (epic and normal +1). Revenants Greaves can't drop at all, nowhere (error in Loottables).

Revenats Armor can drop in Egypt only, best place to farm seems to be Valley of Kings. See here (http://www.titanquest.net/forums/spoilers/19224-most-wanted-monster-infrequents-chances-get-them.html).

sorry, it's not in the loottable, but in the initial equipment section of all gilded skeletons, but it's easy to fix. I have attached a screenshot from artmanager. The Chance is given for item3, the loottable is given for item2, so you'll have to change either the chance to the correct line or the loottable.

I_Raps
01-21-2008, 06:35 PM
You also have to change the entry in lootLowerBodyArmor2 to an array using NI_GoldenSkeleton.dbr as the first entry, EI_GoldenSkeleton.dbr as the second, and LI_GoldenSkeleton.dbr third or all you'll get are the Normal version in all three difficulties.

From what I can make out on the French page, the modder has done that.

Question
01-22-2008, 01:39 AM
Does anyone have any idea how that patch is supposed to work? Since it replaces database.arz, that would replace all the fixes with database.arz right? For example, wont this conflict with the stygian lurker quest rewards fix that also replaces that database.arz? Is there any way to "merge" the fixes together so as to speak?

Arminia
01-22-2008, 04:03 AM
Here as well as for stygian lurker the entries to be corrected are described. So you may do all corrections yourself and build your own database.arz.

Or you switch between different database.arz, depending on where you are playing, as revenants armor problem is only a problem in Egypt, while stygian lurker is only a problem in Hades (ok, this is not really a good way to deal with the problems).

They are MI (called mi_[n|e|l]_gorgonmelee in the database), whereas the stonebinders are called mi_[n|e|l]_gorgonarcher. Unfortunately the epic version is bugged and has only +1 to hunting instead of +2. Usually you should find more of them as of stonebinders, as more gorgons can wear them.

i tought that items can drop from any1 at any time in any area...or there are monsters that has higher drop % for certain items...so is there a monster that has NO CHANCE to drop a item?

Creslyn
02-23-2008, 09:22 PM
Most items are just randomly dropped anywhere, but some greens are specific to certain monster types, and are referred to as monster infrequents (MI's). Stonebinders are an example, and you can only get them off gorgons, and only gorgon casters at that. Sentinels gear are melee/archer variants of gorgon MI's.

Other notable ones are Revenant gear (gilded skeletons, and only in act 2), batrachos gear (anourans in act 4, but only before you go to hades), shamans gear (neanderthal shamans), of the magi gear (satyr casters), etc.

Perhaps it's just not one of the most wanted MI's :)

It's decent, but only has +20% AS.

Myrmidon's Sting has also a dexterity bonus (30-40) and its base damage is the highest for axes (208-217). With some good affixes it could be more than decent.

Ichthian Aegis: Body Armor, dropped by Ichthian's in Babylon

well, this is the fourth revenant plate in a whole week of farming
the other three had stun resist or + damage, but this one turned out fantastic
especially the CAP bonus, so now i can switch from spear to bow and still have 100% CAP :))
the artifact is knot of isis, which gives 20% CAP
i put this relic because i need the DA bonus

i also got got 1 revenant crown but it had only 56 DA as bonus:/

i found the tomb of amenhetep I to be best for farming gilded skeletons. it is directly to the right of the waypoint and almost everytime has gilded skeletons in it. sometimes once you enter there are specters inside, but run straight down to second room and you might find gilded there. dont bother going down the third room.

other tombs i found to be either further from the waypoint, or had mostly demons, constructs or shades in them

i play on xmax mod

Do Batracho's Greaves still drop from frogs? Do they have to be particular frogs because I have been farming the ones outside of the first town in Hades forever and I haven't seen any drop. Does it have to be on a certain difficulty?

You're probably better off farming the frogs just after Medea's Grove... I forget what the place is called but its some kind of swamp I think. You'll find many many more frogs there.

Can we get some more updates to this list or do I need to start adding things? I want a more comprehensive list, one way or another. I don't know that many things missing, but its what I do know that makes me want to know more.

Gog, Atouk, Lar, Vengeance, Porphyrion/Alcyoneus/Gigantes various, these being a few examples. Some of the best MI's I've seen in the game aren't even on the list, and I've farmed for that lame Rev Plate or Helm for weeks and never seen one, of either. I've killed well over 10k gilded using xmax and nada, I just wanted to see ONE for fun! In that time I got about 30 Kspikes and about 100 folgs. Ridiculous.

PS: TQ > D2.

The Fallen One
08-26-2008, 06:16 PM
Yes, there are some MIs that could and should be added to the list, but aren't. And Alyconeus gear is the true MI, Gigantes and Poryphorion are just the lesser MIs.

doombridge
08-27-2008, 09:10 AM
Is there Alyconeus gear for every slot that Gig/Por take up? I figured Gig was lesser but from my experience Alc drops off the green gigantes/bosses and Porp seems a lot more common.

The Fallen One
08-27-2008, 09:55 AM
Poryphorion just has a slightly better armor rating than Gigantes. Alyconeus equiptment consists of the Breastplate, Armbands, Leggings, Venegance (a shield), Rancor (an axe/hammer), and the Mask. The mask is an interesting piece because it grants a skill similar to Marduk's Tablet of Destiny's granted skill.

Edit: And also so you know, I'm not new to the game, I've been playing all summer while lurking here and watching the various silliness. Seems like a good forum. Nothing reasonable to flame about, maybe that's why everyone's still over at the D2 forum.

It's easy to describe:

Start at point F the respawn fountain and just double back through the maze. If snakes and goldielocks aren't up then restart titan quest.

All the way back, so long as you see gorgons right away.

doombridge
08-28-2008, 05:26 PM
If you are a melee with high dps and you don't bother killing non bosses (i.e. only kill Geomancers, Profaners, and the ones with the star over their head, ignore Slayers they drop Sentinel's Cuffs if I'm not mistaken +3 to Hunting instead of all) then it should be a 30 second or less run. If its longer than 45 seconds you've gone too far, all the action on that run takes place in that one maze section.

Edit: I can't stress how much better than boss gorgon run this run is, either. 3 pairs of cuffs from them in over 200 runs and each run takes forever. This run, if you do it right, is 20-25 seconds and you can clean up. I got 8 cuffs in 4 hours and that was the only time I really farmed for them there. There is a good run earlier in the maze too but its a bit longer with fewer boss possibilities (I think I got it down to 50 sec using colossus). YMMV.
