Ok this is something i need to know right away hens the title of the post.
my Illusionist is currently using the wolves as aggro dummies and then i lay all my traps for the main damage which in epic beginning is doing real well for me.
My question is does my traps damage go up in the difficulties or no because it does show that under my traps but when i lay them down they are lvl 22 and in my skill tree they are lvl 17 and yes i do have the whole trap tree maxed out. So should i just take out the points now and put it into something that will help me more or do my traps get stronger and it just does not really show it. I need a quick reply because im currently playing and it just got me wondering, and it hit me i could be doing a lot more melee damage if i just get rid of my traps now and get something better.

I think it's due to a display bug. Don't have time to dig up a thread about it right now.

I played illusionist through legendary. Traps tear up legendary greece they still even kill the big troglodyte guys in hades. I eventually needed Max plague to help the wolves.

I had trouble with hades but I think thats because my vitality resistance was low. On the other hand the traps certainly weren't killing his life fast...

so should i keep the traps all through the game then and should i get the throwing knives with the poison combo or no? or just go for plague?

The knives are great with the nightshade and mandrake. I like them first. then later when you have points pick up plague. The wolves and traps take up a lot of points though since the traps need a lot to really shine. The wolves will die if you don't have survival instinct maximum. Also +2 skills makes for 3 wolves which is really nice.

Try knives traps wolves and see how you are killing...
