Help! Dream stealer question!

So im leveling a ritualist right now and i just got the dream stealer skill. However its no where to be found even though i put a point in it. What gives? Am i not doing something correctly?

you need to put at least one point in Phantom Strike in order to put points in Dream Stealer. Dream Stealer is a synergy skill of Phantom Strike and can only be activated when you use Phantom Strike.

i know that and ive got like 6 in phantom strike. I put a point into dream killer and it doesnt show up on my skill list. The point shows on the tree (1) Dream Stealer. is this just a huge bug or something? if so is dream stealer that nice of a skill anyway, can i just ignore it? im a melee ritualist.

Only the base skill shows up, synergies do not.

You cannot use the synergy without the base skill.

i have the base skill.in fact i have 6 into the base skill. ill explain a little more clearly. i leveled up, then proceded with my build plan which is not only to max out phantom strike but to also max out dream stealer. so i clicked one point into dream stealer and was about to assign it to a hotkey when i realized it was nowhere to be found. so i re-checked and sure enough i had indeed put one point into it, yet it was still missing of my skill list for assigning hot keys. See what i mean now?

See how Dream Stealer is attached to Phantom Strike?
You put points into the base skill (Phantom Strike)
You use Phantom Strike.
You then put points into Dream Stealer.
You use Phantom Strike which now has the bonuses added by Dream Stealer.

Dream Stealer is NOT a skill and CANNOT be used on it's own, therefore, it cannot be selected.

OK THANK YOU FOR KNOCKING THAT INTO MY BIG MORONIC HEAD. i suspected that but the discription of it made me think it was a seperate skill. Wow thank you again

For future reference. If a skill is shown as a square, it's an active skill that you can hotkey. If it's a circle, it's passive or adds to the effect of the skill it's connected to by a bracket.
