View Full Version : Router crashes!

Hello!

When I try to play online I have got a big problem. I can join without any problems but after 30sec (up to 1minute) my router crashes completely!

I do not experience this on all servers and if it doesnt happen in the first minute (maybe 2) i can play as long as the server runs ^^

But when I try to play with a friend (we bought the game to play it together) I always get the problem (no matter if I host or join his game!).

I (and someone else) have the idea that the NAT-Table runs full which crashes the router.

But my router (DI-614+) supports up to 2048 connections and I never had any connection or NAT issues with this router!

So far... here are my questions:

Why could TQ fill up the NAT-table or what other reasons could crash the router?!
Is there any workaround for this problem?
Is this an issue which will be fixed with the patch?

P.S.: I definitely address this problem to TQ. Because I never got any problem with the router or any other older and recent games!

thx

Ok, i have the same problem, except it seems to be fine up till around 2:30 PM EST. Then it boots me off my Network every 5 minutes. Dunno if that is my problem or the games. This is the first problem ive had with it.

I noticed when playing with a friend that the error was reproducable anytime (it always occured). so I made a SNMP log.

when using my D-Link router when playing with my friend the SNMP shows massive connections on his ip. The game just runs up the connections like hell.

I was figuring out that when I used my netgear router (which does not support as much connections as the d-link) everything works fine when playing with my buddy.

I have the idea that the game just trys to synchronise and to recreate the connection because "it thinks" the connection has dropped while it still is active? Maybe this is due to the different nat settings of the routers?!

Well this is just a big guess! So no idea if this could really be the problem... But I cannot imagine what else could cause the game to open up so many connections that it crashes the one router but not the other (which has a lower connection limit)
