Absolutely shameless *BUMP*

I really don't want to have to take this back.
There are a LOT of missing floor textures.
Please can someone give me a pointer? Same thing happening with two characters. All settings on LOW except Details which is on MEDIUM. AA off.

AGP 8X enabled, AGP aperture at 64mb.
Graphics card fan set to operate at 50% @ 30 degrees.

hey there Batman,

I don't want to offend ya for saying something you might all ready know about so take my advice with a grain of salt ...ok?

Set it to run in 98/Me Compatibilty mode

Disable Visual Themes

Turn off advance Text Services

Doing the above helped me for studdering issues, (still does but just not as much) not sure if it would help this.

Also *IF* (and I'm not saying you did mind you) you had installed the Unleashed Version of this , check your save games folder for other character profiles and if you see some that you now can't use because of the Retail install then DELETE them....you can't use them anyways.

If you know how to use msconfig....get rid of un-neccessary services...be careful though as some are really required....check the box to hide all Microsoft Services to be on the safe side. But if you really know your way around windows check the MS ones , you can get rid of some depending on your specific setup.

Hope something here helped ya.

Holy Responses. Thank you.
I never take offense when I am in need of assistance.
I'll try the compat. mode thingy.
I waited patiently for the retail release and took the demo out pre-install, I understand why you mentioned it, though.
I am pretty good with msconfig and I usually turn off everything I don't use anyway.

I'll keep you posted on this. And, thank you.

Hello,

Try pressing Print Screen. Also try restarting your computer.

This appears to be an out of video memory problem, although with your hardware and those settings this shouldn't be happening. When this happens, does alt+tabbing out of the application (and then alt+tabbing back in) help? If you click in the black space where the doorway is, does the character walk inside?

Alt+Tab takes forever, both in and out.
No, character does not move at all.

Thanks for the sweet things you said about my hardware, and for being here.

EDIT - Alt+Tab creates a 'no refresh' scenario, as in, the game doesn't reappear, just a black screen.

FYI i had a similar problem, though it appeared right near the beginning of the game.
various pieces of geometry (like the ends of the bridges) would randomly disappear leaving black holes, and when i came across the first cave i had the same issue youre having where you cannot go inside as there is nothing there.
interesting that Max suggested it might be video memory related, as i "fixed" it by running in the next lower resolution, 1680x1050 as opposed to the 1920x1200 i was running previously.

You know what, colinbear? I'm still having the same problem up at Athens!!!
I have just reset my resolution to see if there is any difference, I'll let you know if it helps.

Thanks for your response.
