Navy beating Notre Dame for the first time since 1963!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can  to that!

It's a shame they've got that one win under their belt this season, it's looking like they're going to loose the rest of the games as well (we can only hope).

Vince

Notre Dame's 43 straight victories over Navy continues to be the NCAA record. But, we're all proud of the current Notre Dame team for ending the streak.

Note to Gene: I am grieved at Notre Dame's failure to achieve a perfect season. But at least we'll have something to look forward to next year.

Do you think they're going to fire their current coach or do you figure they'll keep him?

This post is dedicated to my good friend Gene, who shares my fervent love for Notre Dame. Note: Lots of "Scroll Downs."

Which is better, Notre Dame or a dollar bill?

A dollar bill, because it's always good for four quarters.

What's the safest place to go to during a tornado alert?

Notre Dame. Touchdowns rarely occur there.

Lorenzo Crawford, Donald Dykes, Abram Elam, and Justin Smith are all in the same car. Who's driving?

A: The Police.

Q: What is the difference between the Notre Dame football team and a trampoline?

A: You take off your shoes before stomping on a trampoline.

Q: What's the difference between the Notre Dame football team and the Titanic?

A: Only a couple thousand people went down with the Titanic.

Q: Why did O.J. hide in South Bend after killing his wife?

A: No one would ever think of looking for a football player there.

Accidentally breathed in too heavily got my guitar pick that I held in my hand jammed in my throat, ~30 seconds later stuff was beginning to disappear.
A decent hurling into a nearby wall made the pick reach the "vomit-reflex-area" thus launching the pick out.

Having unexpected fun

Hard drive took a dump on me and I would've rather had the money than send the bizzle in to get fixed.

Still cost me a total of $450 in restocking fees and ~$90 to send back, but at least I get the rest back.

And you guys weren't the only ones /handchinning me for getting an Alienware, people from my lotro kin had owned them and said the develop issues and when they do, I should just wash my hands of it, which I did.

So back to my Gateway GM5084.

Plus, now that I'm "between jobs" the money seemed much more attractive than a busted box.

I'm proud to report that my beloved Notre Dame footbal team set another record yesterday. They are now LAST in the NCAA in defense.

Way to go, Notre Dame!

And in an interview, the coach said that he is teaching them properly, and they do the right things in practice, but then they fall apart in the games. My opinion? The Notre Dame football team is famous for its arrogance. Without it, they lose much of their skill.

Vince
11-13-2007, 04:48 PM
Folks, my frined Gene is upset because his beloved Notre Dame footblall team has failed to achieve a perfect season. To cheer Gene up, here are some things we can root for:

A football poll that ranks the first 120 teams has ranked Notre Dame #94. Our goal? to break 100!

Florida International, which started a football program only to make money, is ranked #120. Unlike Notre Dame, they have a perfect record this season. Our goal? Root for Florida International, so they can have a better season than Notre Dame.

Well, the image that I cut it from doesn't have any defnition there as it is and I'm pretty crap at image 'fixing' but I'll probably mess with it a bit.

Overall, I don't think I did too bad considering it's the first time I've ever used GIMP to do anything like that.

EDIT:

Here's the 'new' version, I added a bit more detail to the base of his cloak and removed the signature as well:

Being a carnivore, my cat Lorenzo enjoys hunting for wild chicken bones in the garbage. When he captures his prey, he drags it under the table to eat, but my dog Anna tries to steal it. They get into a fight, and that's how we know that he's been into the garbage.

A few days ago, Lorenzo figured it out. He steals a small bone, gives it to Anna, and then steals a bigger bone for himself.

99 times out of 100 times they will cut thier throat, stomach, or intestine. The small tiny poke from the bone will open into a rip the size of a dime in no time. Those who dont care about seeing their best friend die slowly and painfully will just throw kitty in a pillow case and into a river. But anyone with any moral compass and a heart will take kitty to a vet and dish out $2k + to fix the little rip that would ultimately kill them. I would take great pleasure in the week long torture of any person who would throw their cat or dog in the river because it was injured due to the negligence of the owner. GREAT pleasure. I'm talking red hot pokers, pliers, gasoline, hedge trimmers, and Anne Murray music.

Anyway... back on topic... 100proof (50% alcohol/vol.) Canadian whiskey and an A&W teen burger and onion rings while watching Pulp Fiction.

Thank you for all the info on the dangers of letting your pets eat chicken bones. For the record, we don't ALLOW it, but sometimes I forget to take the garbage out. The crunching sound of shattered wild chicken bones is my warning that our two pets (who are well-fed, well-cared for, and well-loved) have returned from a successful hunt.

Thanks for the good advice on not letting your pets eat chicken bones. For the record, we do not ALLOW our pets to eat garbage or table scraps. However, sometimes I forget to take out the garbage. Later, I will hear the crackling sound of wild chicken bones being devoured by a carnivorous beast, and I'll know that my two pets have returned from another successful hunt. I then take the bones away from them.

What a day! On Saturday I had a record high attendance in my station wagon for the Christian cartoons we show at church. Then the missus and I went off to a Christmas party. After stuffing myself with turkey, ham, and things I don't recognize, some of us decided to play croquet.

The pastor is the church champion, the organist plays frequently with her kids, and I hadn't played croquet since 1963. I came in last place in the first game. Then I won the second game!!!!!!! And they even announced it in church yesterday.

Then they made me an official money-counter. I don't know what that had to do with beating the church croquet champ, though.

Thanks! My brother also lives in TOronto. I'm only going 1 province over to Regina for 2 days. Nothing special. But the 1 hour on a jet as opposed to 9.5 hours by bus is worth the $90 more I paid ($79 there, $109 back, plus fees and taxes). Still rather cheap for airfare I think.

What schools breaks are there in the US?We get Christmas break (2 weeks), Spring break (a week), and Summer vacation (2 months).

That's for those in K-12. College students get more off as our semesters are only 16 weeks instead of 18.

Vince

They loved my figgy pudding at the Christmas party!!!!!!!

The figgy pudding was a success! So, for all you Christmas carol fans, here's how to do it.

Buy a pound of fresh figs, a box cake (that's a cake in a box like Betty Crocker sells) and a box icing.

Cut up the figs, and put them in a bowl with enough water for both the cake and the icing, with some to spare (because the figs will absorb a lot of water). Stick it in the refrigerator for four hours.

Make the cake according to the recipe, but use the fig water instead of regular water, and add just a little bit extra. Then bake the cake according to the directions.

When you make the icing, use the fig water.

Ice the cake and press the figs into the icing. If it is a two-layer cake, ice the bottom layer, apply half the figs, and then gently press the top layer onto it. Then ice the top layer and apply the figs.

It's not the best dessert I've ever had, but it was still pretty good.

Today's Rockon Award goes to Webroot's SpySweeper. I bought it in 2004, when it was the spyware catcher of the year. It included one year of free updates.

Next year, it fell in the ranks, and I switched to free spyware. After my subscription expired, it wouldn't let me download any more upgrades.Yesterday, I wondered what would happen if I re-installed it and tried to upgrade it. This had actually worked with an old copy of Norton Anti-virus on an ancient laptop I had bought at a pawnshop.

It loaded with no problem, and when I tried to upgrade, it told me that my subscription had expired, and THEN it disconnected me from the internet. Folks, I'm impressed!

My friend Batman asks if I can now drive a Mexican. After two and a half years, I drive like one.

Lavender contacts :rockon:I've been thinking on getting contacts to change the color of my eyes. But then I saw the ones that make your entire eye white except for a little black skull...

I desire them!
