View Full Version : Main Screen Freeze

Looking at all these crash threads bums me out. If this is what I'm getting myself into, I guess I should quit trying.

I can't even get past the main screen of the game. The intro video and 5 million company logos work just fine, and the main screen will, too. That is, until I move my mouse. The second I move the mouse even half a pixel, my entire computer freezes on that screen. The music will continue for about 20 seconds, but then it too stops. I've reinstalled the game twice, tried it in safe mode, and tried moving around without the mouse. This is infuriating.

Can you post your dxdiag file or a description of your system setup?

New developments! I can click, scroll the mouse wheel, and, if I happen to be over a button when I click, advance screens. Using Alt+Tab to get in and out of the game, and positioning my mouse over where I know the right button is, I can seemingly get to the actual game.

However, I haven't been perfect enough yet to make it that far.

I got a new copy of the game, and installed it in safe mode with nothing else running (not even networking). Still the same problem.
