Well i hoped that my new level 28 character would bring Typhon to his knees. I can hurt him quite abit, but it's not hurting him that's the problem, it's being able to get close enough and stay close enough to actualy hurt him. Any suggestions? I would post pictures of my character but i dont know how to take screens. :(

Level up a little more, get better items.

Dont hit him when he has his thorns on his body, if he hits you with the fire or life leech run away and heal up. make sure to use the powerups.

I kinda of figured the thorn thing out on my first try :D. I don't know how to get better items unless i go do Act 3 Telkine runs. And i'm kind of impatient at leveling, which is why my other character was level 24 and was already at Typhon, i rushed through things. :(

Also, can anyone tell me which pair of greeves is better? The one i have equipped? Or the one in my inventory?

Maybe it's just been luck on my part, but I've noticed that Typhon runs out of steam after a minute or two, if you can continue dancing with him that long, and his specials taper way off. I've had good luck running around him, dodging his specials for awhile, then running in when he wears down to do some damage.

So i should just run around him until his mana runs out, then go in for the attack?

His mana regens, not to mention he has both a life leeching and energy leeching attack that he will use.

Honestly though, I'm not a big fan of your swords (I didn't have any white items after Greece), see if you can buy/ farm anything better. I like the jag's boots better personally more because it adds on to movement speed and stuff :D

The jag's boots has alot of cool stuff, but the obsidien boots have good resists. I'm a harbinger but i don't know what enchants i should look out for, and so far i can't find any swords better than the one i have, and the katana sword i got from a Tiger =/ I guess this just leaves me with farming on Telkine runs.

Will staying in olympus and killing there work?

I hear farming Parnassus is profitable because there's a lot of mobs, maybe you can try that?

Your weapons suck something awful. Seriously, you can get better ones in five minutes' worth of shopping.

Yeah. Get some better swords. I am not sure what a Harbringer would as far as bonuses on the swords but really anything would help you. Yes, farming would help, and yes even in normal mode with that gear.

As far as beating Typhon, I play to dance around, go in once health and health pots are off of cooldown and getin a few hits. The best times I found to attack is when he is casting his meteor shower spell. Once I get in a few hits or so, I run back out and start running circles around him again until again I am at full health and cooldown of health/mana pots are done. It takes a while but you can do it. I tried standing toe-to-toe with Typhon and got whooped.

Hope this helps bro!!!! GL! :D

Go to the Jade Palace teleporter and leave town to the southeastish and find the Merchant there. Check his melee goods, if he has no green swords/axes/maces that are worth using, open a portal right there at the merchant and warp to Chang'an, check the melee shop there, if he doesn't have anything, walk back to the teleporter and go back to your portal you opened at the village. Continue warping back and forth and checking these two merchants' inventories until you get you two good green weapons.

That saves time! Thanks :D

Should i look for a different sword? Or the same sword just Green?

Other options are farming melee Icthians for two Whompers, or farming Tigermen for two Sabertooths (Saberteeth?) if you like swords better.

Most importantly, once you have your two weapons, you're not done yet.

Get your hands on some completed Achilles' Valors or Pang Claws and load them up, then revel in the bloodbath.

I have 1 Sabertooth, I've had about 15 Ichthian Whompers, I had another Sabertooth but i sold it thinking it wasn't so good :S

They're wicked fast, if you're a Harbinger you can get Onslaught built up really fast and Psionic Touch going off every two seconds with two Sabertooths.

Whompers do the most damage I've seen on a club in Normal, and I do believe they can stun or something too.

Any areas where i can farm for a Sabertooth?

Any areas where i can farm for a Sabertooth?

Click the fountain in the Jade Palace village there, and fight the cat people all around that area, then take the bridge southwest and go most of the way to the Jade Palace itself, once you start actually climbing the mountain, warp to Chang'an and leave town to the south toward the Jade Palace village, clear that area, and when you get to the naked General, return to Chang'an and clear the cats from around the city itself, including those on the other side of the door leading to the bigass Forest.

Then reload your game and repeat.

Once you do that, go to the great wall and get you some Pang claws, and stack them up until you get two with the + attack speed completion bonus, and throw them onto the Sabertooths. Pang claws work better for the faster Sabertooths than the Achilles' Valors do.

Against Typhon, your fire and pierce resistances are way too low. You will find it easier if you max these two out, and also equip something with Vitality Damage Resistance and/or Life Leech Resistance. :)

While farming for the Sabertooth, i got my 2 Sabertooths, but i also found this little sword,

Should i keep it and maybe find another?

You'll probably need to farm enough to have at least one that will get you improved attack speed as a completion bonus, and another that has raw damage as a completion bonus.

The rest of course you can always keep to make Artifacts with, so there's no harm in overfarming them now like before.

And yeah, Peng. :p

You an kill typhon with what you have but you have to be patient.
Run in circles around him. Only move in when he raises his arm to drop boulders, and only after you have cleared the boulder drop spot. (If you're running in circles that should be immediate). hit him and then move back into your circle.
Use health potions constantly (and I mean constantly). move away, and stay away, when he has thorns.
When he stops to breath fire, move out of the line of fire and then move in and hit him.
If you die, rush straight up the path and attack him again. He should still have most of his damage, Keep doing this until he is dead, and make sure you have at least 100 health potions to start, because if you run out, you'll have to start again.

A socketed sabertooth will be much better than the Juque, but since you probably dont want to farm that much, I guess you can stick with it. Follow the guy's advice above and you should be able to take Typhon now. I've never been a fan of farming on normal, so I wouldnt go for the charms unless you really want them.
