life drain question...again

As I understand it from reading here, lucid dream affects life drain. My question is, are they ever going to increase the cast time on life drain and is the increase lucid dream gives enough to offset the incredibly slow recharge time of life drain. I've brought it up several times before but I have really wanted to make a character that uses life drain as a primary attack just as storm can use shards, earth has their fire attack and now dream has their wave attack. For each of the other skill trees the recharge is either instant or much faster than life drain.

Life Drain as a Diviner becomes functionally more of a pseudo Shield Charge that just happens to heal you for a gross amount and one shot monsters. It works best with reduced recharge items but you can save it for when you need the health, alternate it with Phantom Strike, etc. You pretty much need maxed Deathchill and Necrosis to get the most out of it.
