Hi all, Just a quick question. Are %reduction to enemy's health attacks affected by vitality resistance? Or does it only affect plain vitality damage? The Outsider and Liche king's attacks, which take a % from enemies' health, would benefit a lot from the Vitality resistance debuff from Necrosis. Can anyone confirm this to me? If it were true, a Bone charmer with maxed Take Down (36% reduction to enemy's health) and Necrosis (-81% Vitality resistance) would be awesome at killing High hps monsters (aka Bosses). Thx in advance.

Yes. vitality resistance covers all: vitality damage, % health reduction and life leech but life leech resistance is only limited to resist life leech DOT.

But take note that bosses has almost (if not) 100% resist to vitality effects. Without LK's Soul Blight ability unleashed Take Down would not be that effective even w/ max necrosis. I had tried it with doom horn skill cap, 36% health reduction plus necrosis cap -119% vit damage resist. Bosses health still barely moved..:knockout: But with LK around bosses die quickly. I can say builds w/ LK and Outsider is too overpowering against bosses. Today, this two bully of my spellbreaker killed legendary manticore in less than 30sec. Me, just standing and watching manticore die helplessly, didn't even cast my ancestral warriors! it's really boring. I'm planning not to fight with them again.. :errf:

Now that is something I don't understand: So the flat reduced resistance of Soul Blight (58 reduced resistance when maxed)is much more effective than Necrosis, which reduces vitality damage resistance by a very high %. I don't quite see how it works. Also, I understand % reduced resistance, but what does 58 reduced resistance exactly mean? And is it applied to all kinds of resistance, physical, pierce, elemental, vitality, nergy leech, etc..?

Yes, reduced resistance covers everything.. includes stun, lifeleech.etc. What I'm not sure is how will this stack w/ necrosis, bcoz you can go as greater -150% reduced life/bleed/vitality resistance when added w/ soul blight. This basically means dealing more than 150% damage. There is a way to test this but I don't really care about it though..:errf:

EDIT: I think 58 should be taken in percentile value just like the Sapros the Corrupter.
