Computer specs
ATI Radeon X700 Pro
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2.08 GHz
512 MB RAM
Windows XP
DirectX 9.0c
It meets all the requirements to play the game.

The problems that are occuring for me:
1. Mouse/clicking problems. My mouse works fine for everything but this game. When I click to move or attack sometimes it works but sometimes it won't. Many times there will be a few second long pause between the click and the action in the game. Very annoying, especially in the middle of a battle.
2. Keyboard problems. Same as the mouse - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Many times there is a pause between the pressing of a key and the appropriate response for the game.

I have tried turning the game down to lowest graphic quality but it doesn't help. I reinstalled the game, downloaded the latest DirectX, and downloaded the most recent ATI driver. I was able to run the demo fine with good settings so I don't understand why the full version will not run well.

Any suggestions?

By the way, I was NOT online when this happened so it was not just internet lag.

Hello and welcome to the forum...

I was just looking at your specs. If I may interest you real quick, try to find the FAQs for minimum specs. I know your ram is at the minimum. I am not sure about your processor speed either. I am having a hard time remembering everything right at this moment. In the meantime, I will try to find it as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response and the welcome :)

The minimum RAM required for the game is 512MB...I have 512MB.
The minimum processor speed is 1.8GHz Intel Pentium 4 equivalent or AMD Athlon XP or equivalent...I have an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2.08 GHz .

For what it's worth, I was able to play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fine on my computer...its requirements are as follows:
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows XP 64-bit
512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
DirectX 9.0c (included)
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

My computer meets all the requirements and played the demo fine. I wish I had even a remote clue as to what the problem is but I have never seen anything like it.

Cool, I am glad you found it. I am at very near specs as yours, but different parts. I am, or hopefully before, getting the game on Friday. If I have different results, I will let you know.

One last thing real quick, is your "lag" an all the time occurance or does it happen in certain parts?

Do you have softare for your keyboard/mouse? Such as Logitech's SetPoint or Microsoft's IntelliType/IntelliPoint? You can try installing/updating those ... doubt it will do anything but its worth a shot.

The "lag" occurs throughout the game...in the menus, starting movie, and game the controls seem hesitant to respond. It is not really lag though because in the game when my character freezes in place everything keeps moving around him...my clicking (whether quick repeated clicks or click and holds) does not respond.

My mouse and keyboard are both plug-and-play, no software required.

Did you enable "Fast Writes" or "write combining" in your graphics option? I know that tweaking these two options will cause mouse lag in Oblivion.

I have not tweaked any settings outside of the ingame options (graphics sliders, fullscreen, anti-aliasing, etc)...unless the game comes with those enabled they are still off.

The problem I had in Oblivion had to do with my Realtek 97 sound card...the game worked fine when I either disabled the sound card or renamed the music folder to music-backup (which disabled the music). I have tried disabling the sound card for Titan Quest but it makes no difference.

A solution has been found:
Turn on vsync and turn off full screen mode. The game will run fine 95% of the time (occasionally you will get a little clicking lag but otherwise it runs great).
Try this out if you are having the same problem.

up for this, i have the same problem but it seems that i can't do anything, click-click-click on the first menu and nothing happens (the fix with priority control or any other fix doesn't function), keyboard and mouse don't respond, it happens only with this game
i saw the initial fmv entirely almost 15 times, it's nice but i would to play the game also.....

is strange because the demo worked really fine without problems!
i hope in the patch

thanks

I had the same problem with keyboard and mouse lag. My problem went away after installing the latest DirectX (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx).
