View Full Version : multiplayer xp= beefed or just split?
hiya, I was wondering about how the titanquest engine scales things for multiplayer. Not to bring up Diablo 2 again, but...In d2, the overall experience reward was boosted slightly for each new player, so you actually leveled up faster when playing with more people. This was a great feature that made it especially rewarding to play in a group.
Is this the same in TQ, or is their no XP advantage for grouping?

If I remember correctly, the XP is simply split, as long as you are within a spatial range of the monster that was slain.
The number of monsters will be beefed up though, so you may be able to AoE yourself to massive XP with sheer numbers of baddies.
the number of monsters is beefed up, eh? does that have a very punitive effect on framerates?

Well, if you have 2x monsters on the screen than normal....
