If you guys are bored in MP here's a little fun for you.
Goto your shortcut to your exe and edit the target line as follows with a -pvp tag.
ie. "C:\Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest\Titan Quest.exe" -pvp
Both clients and servers need this flag on to play, if you enable the flag you will still see both game types.
The PVP mode is VERY basic. There are no safe zones, and you respawn where you would respawn from a pve death. You don't drop anything but your death counter goes up. You can form parties and have team battles.
Have fun
Edit:
might be fake since the same person say that turning Rockon to true in the sttings file will give you rock music in the crdits, witch it dont.

So we lock it down then. And then open it up again for a word from the developers ...

Thanks Davey :)
The actual "secret" pvp tag is /pvp not -pvp
If you launch the game with this tag in your executable command-line you will only be able to host pvp enabled games and you will only be able to see / join other pvp enabled games. If you have this enabled, I don' think you'll be able to see regular games on your server list.
In a pvp game players can, of course, battle one another to the death anywhere in the game world. There is basically no real penalty for dying to a player except for the normal experience loss, which is only about 1-3% of your current level's experience in normal difficulty for a player level 1-30ish. Players do not gain experience for killing one another, its just for fun.
In a pvp game, players cannot harm other players in their own group but they can attack players who are not in a group or players in a different group.
We did not want to officially announce this feature because it is not "officially supported", which means we make no claim that classes are balanced for pvp. I hope that players who enjoy pvp will have some fun with it and, due to the way it is implemented, those who don't want to pvp won't have to worry about it.
P.S. pvp only really gets fun once you're high enough level to unlock some of the more interesting skills.

Medierra, that owns. I bet we'll be seeing player-made PvP Balance mods soon enough. <3

medierra,
I am assuming you would welcome some fan feedback on PVP classes?
How about an email that is set up for this feedback?

Wuuwuu, great news for the community.
PvP and when you lose you have the best excuse ever to ease your mind: "cheater!" :D

Sorry, read too fast, just tested the PVP feature (in LAN with 2 review versions, level 1 versus level 1 :)). I'd guess there is no visible "PVP" flags on the servers ;)

I've edited my post to indicate that I "don't think" you will see regular games since it used to work that way but I'm not 100% sure if that is true in the retail version.

Granted I still play with the installation from the review DVD I got (but it should be the retail build) although I got my boxed DVD version monday (don't want to reinstall, and would need to use the review key anyway to keep my chars ;)).
However, just tested right now in LAN with the host having PVP enable and myself not having it: I don't see the PVP enabled game.
Would need to check through GameSpy as well though.
