Ship Date?

I just noticed that GameStop and EBGames website changed their ship date from yesterday to today. I guess that means I probably won't be getting it until tomorrow :(

Or maybe they're just confused and their copies are sitting in a back room in a cardboard box... :shifty: I should at least give em call.

Yea i called them this morning since i have a pre-order too...

They never received the game from the distributer on time yesterday to ship them out for delivery today...

The preordered date in The netherlands changed from today to tomorrow. Perhaps in the weekend I can play the game...

Ok Eb Games/Gamestop online pre-orders are going out today 100%...

They just received the stock and are fixing to ship them out...

Now does this mean the physical stores will also recieve them tomorrow? Or later this afternoon?

After calling a few stores here in florida it seems some now have updated info in their computers that say tomorrow.. <sigh>

Not always, I mean in my area Supercenter Wal-Mart and Target has it but they are out of stock, but anther small Wal-Mart, EBgame shop, Meijer (Of coure Mejier is slow for the computer game) didn't have it, they said they should have it today but it's still didnt have it.

My experience has been that ON the "ship" date, they are loading the game up on a truck that's gonna drive to the local stores from the distribution center. The problem is that unless the local store is really close to the distrubution center, they won't get it until the next day.

So every time I see a ship date for a game, I just assume I won't be able to get it until the next day.

What a bummer if that's true.

I called several Gamestop's yesterday, and all assured me it'd be in today. However I've never worked with a more lazy, incompetant company than a local Gamestop. Not one employee I called did any checking, despite my pleading. One faked it by pressing buttons on his computer, I'm not convinced.

On the other hand I've never seen them *not* get their new games in on Tuesday afternoon. This would be a first.

Also, the Best Buys here are very good about stocking new games Tuesday afternoon. If this only affected Gamestop/EB, then they'll be losing my business.

Just talked to my local EB and they said they didn't get TQ in their shipment, and the same goes for Gamestop. Looks like I'll be waiting until tomorrow *single tear*

I can confirm that all Best Buys in the NJ/NY area now have TQ in stock. I just purchased my copy from a Best Buy in Manhattan.

EB/Gamestop have failed to get a new release out on time once again...

Check the Best Buy website as Icarus suggests. I did, ordered online, and picked up the DVD version moments ago. W00T! When I went in store, the game wasn't yet on display, and the guy had to go to the back to grab my game. I somehow doubt asking one of the "helpful" Best Buy employees on the floor would've gotten me my game (since this morning the guy looked at me blankly and I swear I heard a phone "busy tone").

Now, to install.... :)

Now call your local Best Buy (or check online, very convenient). They should have them in by now.

Go buy it at Best Buy. Call EB/Gamestop and tell them tough luck.

I don't have a best buy close to me, but I called eb/gamestop, circuit city, walmart, and target and none had it in today.

Maybe THQ is here to blame as they didn't allow enough shipping time to make a same day release in US stores, especially east coast.

On a side note regarding EB, they no longer have their major distribution warehouse in West Chester, PA. http://www.stewart.com/news.jsp?newsId=28283 Before that I've never had a problem with a game not being released on time from EB.

I did just that with my pre-order...called EB/Gamestop and said sorry but thanks for nuttin... :evil:
