Save game transfer

How do I transfer my saved game from one system to another? I've tried copying the whole "My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest" folder, but I can't figure out how to load my saved character from the single player menu.

This is what I would try. Don't know if it would work for sure but it can't hurt:

First, just keep all of your old save info on the desktop of your new system. Then install the game and let it setup and optimize everything for your new system. Then create a new game using the same character name you had. Exit and save your game. Now just copy and paste your 'Player.chr' file over the new one and see if the game works. If it doesn't, try to find out what other files associated with it may be needed.

I figure the reason it probably isn't working with the way you've tried it, is because when you install the game it optimizes the game for the current systems hardware. Your new system will be optimized differently according to what hardware it has. If you copy and past the whole old 'My Documents" folder in, it probably contains optimization info based on your old system. That's what I suspect is the conflict/problem in any case. But I could be wrong. Like I said though, it can't hurt to try this.

Dosn't work.

If you do use old save files and load up a brand new retail game. It will THINK you finished all the quests, while your still a lvl1 in the newb area. Hence, if you use old save files, none of the NPC will have the "!" in the newb area; or any area that you finished all the quests.

I could be completely left field. But thats what the demo seems to do..
