Question Warfare/secondary mastery question

It's been awhile (well over a year) since I last played TQIT. All I remember is I played a conqueror who got stuck in the IT acts - the mobs kept 2 shotting me, so I got frustrated and quit.

This time around, I just made a Harbringer (surprise, surprise), and I have a question about the secondary masteries.

I started warfare, and I'm currently lvl 7. I saw the sticky thread in this forum and saw how the guy recommended where to put early mastery points into the warfare tree. Once I level, now I have dream mastery on my hands.

My question is: Is there a certain ratio or guideline that players follow when trying to level your 2 masteries? I have my mastery trees filled out with Titancalc, but I'm not sure when and how many points to distribute to my secondary (DM) tree each level. I don't want to just max out both masteries immediately because I'm guessing he would end up a pretty weak character.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Default Re: Warfare/secondary mastery question

Some people recommend just maxing out Masteries ASAP, others recommend 2 points in mastery : 1 point in a skill ratio.

Honestly, this game is easy enough not to worry about it unless you are doing some of the weaker builds (which Harbinger, is as far away as possible from).

It takes 20 levels (with +skillpoint quests) to max out the 2 masteries. That leaves you with another 30 points to play with before you reach Typhon (I usually do by level 30). So plan around that if you are maxing the masteries first.

*However, don't try to level 2 masteries at once. The higher level skills for either Dream or Warfare are worth it. For example, if you started as Dream, Distortion Rift with it's synergy and Trance of Wrath can clear the entire normal difficulty by themselves.
