Default Dual-wield, what kind of weapons?

Hello,
Just started playing Titan Quest again (only played it thru once at release), and started up a Harbinger.. however.. im confused about what weapons to use when dualwielding..

I've read a bunch of posts here on the forum, some saying fast weapons, some saying slow weapons, some 1 fast 1 slow and all weird kinds of combinations..

So i created this post just for this specific questions, what kind of weapons should i use when dual-wielding?

Thanks

It's really up to your choice & preference.Just look at your DPS & Attack Speed. If your Attack Speed is on Maximum 199 for DW and you are using fast weapons try to switch to slower & high damage weapon. It's just a matter of balancing & experimenting which are more effective weapons for your Harbinger.

^^ what he said

also,

Since you're holding two weapons you should experiment with some elemental damage.
Say one weapon will do fire damage and another ice. Assuming some monsters are more resistant to certain elements than others, having two different types of elemental damage can give you good advantages against normal monsters and bosses etc.

Just forget elemental damage with Harbinger. You get next to no boost for that.

I'd try to use as slow weapons as possible (more base damage) while still having 160+ attack speed.

As Poinas said, great combo is hard hitting mace and fast sword. Legendary mace and saber tooth is nice, again as Poinas said if you have you attack speed up independent of weapons, then Sapros and Thorny mual together are brutal.

What, exactly, is the point of a thorny maul if you don't have a ton of piercing % from gear?

Not much point, except with Sapros, since it dramatically lowers monster's piercing resistance.

Well just an example the idea is to have attack speed maxed so that you can use hard hitting clubs to the greatest effect, Sapros plus any one of the others.

Sapros lowers physical resistance too. Any weapon will work with it.

Yeah but the Piercing damage would be vastly increased which is better than normal damage thus causing more damage

I think thta's what he is getting at
