Well, I think dmg absorbtion absorbs any damage, whereas dmg resist reduces the physical dmg only...I might be wrong though, I have not searched for newest hypotheses...

100% right see stone form in earth mastery with its 100% damage absorb that blocks everything.

Note in this game damage means physical unless it linked with absorb in which case it all types.

Can someone positively verify that the DR from Endorphin and from the Vampire Ways stacks and actually works?

I used to play a Diviner and had no problem going toe-to-toe with YaoGuai on PlayersX6. But right now, he's the hardest boss because I get sudden-death results on regular Masteries.

I'm playing on Epic. My armour is just over 1000, I've got 71% Block with a 499 shield, my DPS is reported at around 2000, and my net Damage-to-Health is probably over 20%.

I've died three times trying to take him out. Each time, I'm at full health, and suddenly, BAM--I'm zero Health and dead instantly.
I do recall that he has some kind of powerful stomp-like attack (??) that could take my Diviner down to about 20% in one go, but I don't know if that's just a crit or a super attack. In any case, it doesn't look like the Vampire's low health is enough to soak it before other effects kick in.
I should also mention that he was maybe level 58 and I was about level 43.

So far, the game plays more or less like the old one, but bosses in TQ have always been inconsistent and generally either easy or hard because of your particular build and gear. But sudden-death is something else entirely.

Maybe you should find out what dmg type the stomp-like attack is and fine the proper resistance for it...

That bull is just crazy, i think it does some crazy bleeding damage and fire damage.

Yep. It's a couple of k's bleed and fire damage.

Of course it oneshots your dude if he only has 2-3k health.

Get bleed + fire resistance to 80% and then everything is going to be so much easier.

Or just dodge his stomp attack. It's fairly easy to recognise imo.

I don't think it's bleed, because unless it's over 2000 bleed in a fraction of a second, I should see my Health Bar move and have time to drink a pot.
I don't think it's fire because I had 80% Fire Resist. I've seen him do his fire explosion thing and it does chop my health bar down quickly, but it's not an instant kill. Besides, my melee attack brings me up to full health in about 1.5 seconds after that attack anyway.

I don't know what I'm going to do in Legendary. I mean, if I have 1000 armor AND a supposed net 30%+ DR, and he can one-shot me in Epic...

The really crazy ones are Barmanu and that comet fall attack that will kill you if just two of them wing you. On 3max it's just stupid since there are three of them doing it almost constantly.

Then there's the Telkine in Egypt. He's okay if you melee him, but on 3max, there are two others who, since they are not engaged, cast some kind of sunshine beams attack that litters the place with bright circles on the floor that can kill you in less than a second if you stand in it.
