Default Feasting question

First off - thanks for the great mod! I just downloaded it last night and strted a vampire and beastmaster. TQ:IT is by far my favorite game and this has just breathed an enormous breath of fresh life into the game.

Now - as stated earlier, I started a vampire last night and went with the Draculian Way for starters. Noticed after the first level up that this adds a %life leech boost, but doesn't actually add life leech. So I invested in Feasting on the next level-up. Thing is, it only seems to leech life sometimes, not all the time (and I know you can't leech from undead). I paid strict attention to this while fighting the satyrs, boars, crows, etc on the early areas. Any reason why the life leech on Feasting only works sometimes?

off the top of my head, im going to say maybe the vitality damage is killing them before the life leach can take effect? maybe ill try it out later on.

That could very well be the case. I'll pay closer attention to the level of the characters and what-not. Until then, I'll have to keep chugging health potions! Found an axe that has life leech, so that helps a little also.

yep, just tested it. satyr's have to be lvl 3-4 before they can survive the initial hit from lvl 1 feasting, and even then youll likely get less then a second of life leach.

im pretty sure it wont matter much later on in the game, but this seems very unfortunate for beginning characters. it would make more sense to me to remove the vitality damage completely, and improve the life leach... i doubt people will be using this skill to do damage anyway, its more about regaining your health.

It actually does a fair amount of damage at least through egypt. At level 4,3 it usually kills whoever eats the first shot and weakens the rest of the army. I'm not sure what it will be like in legendary but it seems health is slim for vamps so my guess is that it will be key to have life leach and ADCtH

Yep any flat damage is done first before any DOT damage.
This I believe is why the drain life skill had damage and ADctH on it and not damage & life drain, as the 2 dont really go together with life stealing (And the fact that life drain is usly slow).

Also ADctH dont work on skills unless its part of the skill.

In my opinion the leech damage should be increased and the initial vitality damage should be decreased. That way the spell will really be a leech spell. As some have said before, it mostly insta kills the target, leaving the leech damage away. :/
