I think your talking about the snowball and it's a great weapon to use during the earlier levels of a character. I thought it was part of the Santa set but it wasn't. Use it and attack monsters with it. It's fun.

Where do you get the "Snowball"? I was told it could only be acquired by finding the secret area in act 5.

Near Rhodes, behind the locked gates..farm that cave. Search for "secret passage".

It's act IV, there's no act V.
