Leggings with 557 armor?

So my level 26 warrior is at the blacksmith in Memphis plaza. The smith is selling Copper Banded Leggings with 557 armor. Price 2,819,985 gold.

The character is wearing "Ardent Greaves":
72 Armor
14% Fire Resistance
35% Chance of 12-19 Fire Retaliation
+10% Health Regeneration
+11% Energy Regeneration
+15% Movement
+30% Less Damage From Beastmen

Is having such a high armor piece worth it?

The blacksmith has also had the same leggings, but with a bonus to strength, for over 5 million gold.

I found it worht it for a while, but I fsoon ound leggings with better bonuses, but not as good armor. They only appear in Normal, there are no Epic/Legedary versions of them. I wouldn't buy 'em (unless you have the money), but they'll end up being a waste. I found my first pair. Depending on where you are in Normal, I'd keep the ardent greaves.

They're a bug. I wouldn't buy them because of that, and because of that the armour really isn't all that handy.

hehehe I was wearing those for a long time, I focused on resistances and etc in my other items, and the leggins provided me all the defense I needed. However, don't buy them, it's a bug, once you upgrade they will show 57 defense and you would've spent 2M

In addition, in normal difficulty isn't need for such things.

And, if you still want them, you will be dropped them for sure, anyway.

id wear it mainly cuz the defence but well see im poor i buy more pots then i do anything so id say buy pots XD

I found lots of different ones. Then (before IT), when i had ridiculous amounts of money and nothing to spend it on, I'd buy them for fun. The most useful are the ones that don't have bonuses (557 armour will take you along way and there is no level requirement, only a strength of 187. Any bonuses will make it level 18.) But I did find a pair that gave me 23% poison restance (that proved useful).

Why would anyone be playing on the old unpatched versions? Patches = bug fixes. Latest version = best version. Its kind of a no brainer really.

do they exist in 1.3/1.1? I haven't found any in IT, but I still have 12 pairs of them in a TQvault. It sounds like they're artifacts now, and worth keeping.
