Default Trade Question

If you trade through TQVault, how do you actually "lose" the item you're trading? I mean...you'd still have the file, so you could still have access to the items you sent, right?

Just curious; in my mind, that's not really a trade, but maybe there's etiquette I don't know.

Thats it exactly, you don't 'lose' the item. You simply make a copy of the file to send. If you are an honest person, you would delete the file after it is successfully received by the other person. I know there's some honest folk out there, but I can't see it happening very often.

I dont see how you can trade with a right concious to begin with. Wether or not you found the item legit if the person just stole his off some mod then you trade for a item at an incorrect price. If you bought a BMW for 20 bucks would it be the same thing as truly buying it? IMO no. But it seems like most (check that, many) people don't agree with me. I dont trade for items. Unless I am hosting a game and someone pics up a monster infrequent before I do. Grr I hate that. opps off topic. Yeah TQvault, helpful and yet harmful. It hurts so good.

Actually, after trading last night, I felt the same way...it's not as much fun if everything is readily available. I sold the traded equipment and deleted the rest of the vaults and put my guy back to normal.

I have a couple friends I play with... I would trade with them but since their my buds I would rather just give it to them if Im not using it. If you actually want to trade I would just try and find people on here that are interested. You can get an idea of a player from many of their posts. I kinda like not trading becuase then it will take me longer to find everything which will actually extend my playing time. I would still use TQ vault if I were you, just becuase it makes things easier to transport. But, if you dont want to cheat, you must be diligent to not use the relic remover. A temptation that often I have trouble avoiding. Good luck

The trade I did was on here; it's not that it went badly or anything, it just makes your character overpowered. Then going back into the game through TQMonitor, etc., etc....it's a lot of hassle to, ultimately, take time away from farming and looking for things. It kind of cheapens legendary drops when you end up finding them, too, if everything is pretty much available for trade. JMHO.

The exception to the rule is trading for lesser items to complete a set. I played 2 chars through trying to get the last 2 items of the Theban Panopoly (the first one dropped with one char and the 2nd and 3rd dropped on another char). Basically, I spent so much time farming for it that I levelled up beyond the point where the Theban pieces will even drop (drops dependent on char level and monster level). In the end, I traded for the last 2 pieces. But they are Act1 Normal drops so I didn't feel bad about it at all.

Any known way to find out the actual level cap for any said item to drop is?

Another exception would be to trade for monster infrequents since, as of yet, I at least know of no way to invent those.
