Since we have now have a relatively stable release, it's time to start some more betas. Many of you will be happy that this beta adds the long asked for feature of being able to access the stash.
Note: Please make sure you BACKUP your save files since there were alot of modifications to the load/save code to implement the stash. Do NOT hold me responsible if you lose your stash. Requirements A working TQVault 2.16 installation. Here is the thread where you can download it. Changes in v2.17 BETA1: -Added Player stash and Transfer stash panels Changes in v2.17 BETA2: -Added equipment panel (Read Only) -Changed targets to x86 and Win32. Changes in v2.17 BETA3: -Fixed issue with inability to change Kingslayer's completion bonus. -Fixed issue where if records were in both TQ and IT DBs only the TQ version was loaded. Changed so that the IT DB has priority. --This fixes the issue with changing the completion bonus on the Hermes' Sandal Relic. -Added new context menu item 'Exact Copy Item' which preserves the item seed on copying. -Changed scanf function to use TryParse function to handle the format exceptions that are appearing on occasion. -Improved equipment panel display --Fixed crash is an item is dragged over the equipment panel weapon slots. --Fixed issue with displaying relic overlay in weapon slots. --Improved item background display and item dragging backgrounds. --Fixed issue where non-existant items in equipment panel would show a tooltip. --Added functionality for 2 handed weapons in weapon slots. ![]() As is normal with my BETAs, there is no installer version. @Paradox:
Try copying the vxplib.dll to Windows\SysWow64 and registering it to see if that works. Try this build. The main exe files were already set to Win32, but I set the dll files to an x86 target. You will need to manually register the VXPLib.dll file. TQVault 2.17 BETA - Test Last edited by EJFudd : 09-09-2008 at 05:26 PM. |

I really do not have a long term plan on what I add. I usually add things as I find them or as things annoy me. Of course, I try to fix any issues that come up, but here's a few ideas that I am thinking about:
Increase usability of the UI: I do a lot moving things around in my vaults so things like being able to re-order the tabs or an autofit function would be nice. Also some keyboard shortcuts would be nice too. Adding an equipment panel: The may be tough because the screen real estate is so scarce and the way things are handled internally is not conducive to this. Implementing the item "wobble": This one may be really tough and will require some diving into the game dlls which I have not done since my D2 days. I also think that everyone has gotten used to the way TQVault displays stats so this may not be worth the effort. Implementing an Item edit function: I have been dragging my feet on this one since this can really break the game balance. It would basically add the ability to craft your own items within the confines of the database. Of course this is all predicated on my free time, which comes and goes, and my interest. |

The equipment panel is pretty high on my list since it's an annoyance to me too that I cannot see my equipped items. I will seriously need to take a look at how much effort it's going to be to implement. It would not be too hard to make something with view only capability, but would be a pretty big jump to make it so that you can actually equip items from the vault.

Well I'd definitely second the ability to see the equipment of your character... I honestly don't think it even needs to be something you can change through the vault... just the ability to see what you have on your character would be a huge plus - particularly if you are like me and have a bootload of characters to mess around with... so definitely go for the ability to view character equipment
Good luck - hope you can do with the program as you wish! |
