When I click the Exit button after moving an item into the vault from my TQIT character, I get an error:
System.IO.IOException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\John\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\Main\_John\Backup' is denied. at System.IO.Directory.Move(String sourceDirName, String destDirName) at TQVault.Data.BackupStupidPlayerBackupFolder (String playerFile) at TQVault.MainForm.SaveAllModifiedPlayers() Abort Retry Ignore Clicking ignore closes TQVault. Reopening it shows that it had the items I moved in the vault. Moving them back to my character does not work. It seems to, in TQVault, but when I close it I get that error, and then in the game the item is lost not there. I go back to TQVault and the item is gone. OS: Vista TQIT: 1.10 TQVault: 2.15.3002.37646 BETA4 |

make sure you do not have TQ running while using TQVault. Also try manually deleting that "Backup" folder once. Maybe somehow it has gotten a file lock or something.
p.s. if you think you've lost an item, you can go into My Documents\My Games\TQ\TQvaultData\Backups and you should find a backup of your vault file which you can copy up to TQVaultData to restore the items in it.

TQ is not running while I try using TQVault. Also, I am able to delete the 'backup' folder, assuming you mean Documents\My Games\TQ\TQvaultData\Backups.
What I did find interesting though is that I could not delete Documents\My Games\TQ or Documents\My Games\TQIT. The both tried then returned a 'Destination Folder Access Denied' error stating I need permissions to perform this action. I am an Administrator on my machine, and UAC is turned off. .NET 3.5 is installed. |

No, I mean: 'C:\Users\John\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\Main\_John\Backup'
At any rate, this sort of thing happens to me sometimes. Windows insists that a file/folder is open somewhere and locks it so you cannot delete it. Rebooting sometimes unlocks it and sometimes doesn't. I've never found a good way to get rid of something when this happens. Luckily it has never been something important.

Ok, I went back and deleted the Backup file in the TQIT... folder, then restore it. Now I was able to move the items back and forth and not get the error message. I don't know what changed, but ok. Maybe I forgot to reboot after installing .NET3.5 or something. Also, the item I moved was in the game. I am still leary, and blame it on Vista, which I really like, but think this is a great tool, and look forward to many versions! Thanks!!
