I have .net 3.5 installed, and am trying to get TQvault 2.15 working with my steam copy of Immortal Throne. This error keeps popping up. I tried to use 2.14 to see if it would go away, but the same error occurs when I try and enter the vault.
![]() I've changed the gamepath in the config so it doesn't autodetect, still no luck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. update: I reinstalled .net 3.5 and used the install files for the 2.14 version, that works. Though 2.15 still does not. Given the updates if anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong I'd still like to hear them. update2: Fixed itself with no apparent effort on my end. Not complaining. Either way thanks for this excellent program, takes so much hassle out of this game. Last edited by Fraz : 04-24-2008 at 05:31 AM. |

How did you fix it? That error was related to the com object I use to display the item stat tooltips. A install of 2.14 followed by dropping in the 2.15 beta exe should have done the trick.
@Knivel, just download the latest beta from the previous page and drop it into your TQVAult program folder. It automatically recognizes your old vaults. And if you have problems, you can reinstall 2.14 and it will work just fine. Your vaults never get deleted by installing/uninstalling TQVault and the format is backward compatible to the old versions.

Just posting a feature request for TQVault since I don't know where else to put it. Is there any chance for a simple switchable option that would show clearly-readable numbers on vault "bags", from 1 to 12? (Possibly on other bags too).
I store my stuff in a specific way, and sometimes I have to click around trying to find the right bag - it would be easier if I could just see and click on the right one immediately. Should only take minutes to implement at that - and you could have it disabled by default to keep the standard behavior. Thanks! ![]() |

While we're at it, here's a bug note for the modders.
The Kingslayer Artifact cannot have its completion bonus modified. This is because the formula dbr and the artifact dbr are spelled slightly differently.

Just a question about the way TQVault works.
If I use TQVault with my chars, will I still be able to play them without launching the monitor ? (I saw a sort of warning saying that TQ would require that monitor to play "modified" character)... Does it apply on IT chars also ot is it only for TQ chars ? That said, I can't launch TQVault 2.15 although I installed framework 3.5. (error on finding some com objects). I suppose I must try an older version then. Does it work only when TQ is launched ? Well, where can I find a FAQ or some doc on TQVault ? Thanx ![]() |

Eminanza. I haven't played the original Titan Quest for very long, but I do remember that it has a built-in check that detects modifications on your character. That's why you need another application that will stay loaded in memory that will change Titan Quest's memory to disable the check (TQDefiler may be able to remove this check permanently - I'm not sure).
With Immortal Throne, the above character check was removed, so modified characters will no longer trigger such a check. With Immortal Throne, this check has been moved to the Caravan files instead. That means the Caravan files can't be modified in Immortal Throne without recalculating a specific checksum (or somehow disabling it in-memory or in the game executable), because if it sees that it was modified or copied, the entire Caravan is cleaned. It does mean that you can safely use TQVault with Immortal Throne saves without fear of Immortal Throne detecting the changes. Bottom line is, if you don't have Immortal Throne, get it. It improves the game in all aspects and makes using TQVault easier to boot. ![]() |

Ok, thanx. That becomes clear.
I have IT, I was just wondering how TQVault worked with it ![]() Btw, must IT run in the background when using Vault or can I edit my chars without having IT running ? Last edited by Eminanza : 05-23-2008 at 11:25 AM. |
